“I was at the oak park mall and was hungry. I ordered a grilled chicken bacon ranch BTL wrap. Let me tell you, they don't play around with the size of it. Expect leftovers. Great value for 14$ huge wrap packed with chicken, fries and a drink. You can also get an extra sauce (I got ranch) for free. First time I have ever seen one of these, but I am glad I decided to eat here. There was only one lady working, so wait was a bit long, but it was so worth it.”

“My latest visit we went in for a few drinks and appetizers after work on a Friday. Walked in at 2:30 or 3 needing a table for 8 with no reservation. Even though they were slammed with reservations the hostess got us in for a limited time of 2 hours (plenty of time for what we were doing). The food and drinks here are always excellent. Definitely try the cherry limeade mule if you haven't! It won't disappoint.”

“Tried El Maviri for the first time on a whim, had seen it in passing a few times and decided to stop in. We were greeted by the bartender and seated immediately. Our server was training a new hire, both were friendly and accomodating. Our food portions were large, and tasted amazing! We were happy to see a good portion of meat in the fajitas. “Tried the two meat two side plate with ribs brisket cobbler and fried okra. Ribs had a great smokey bark and tender inside. Didn't even use sauce the smoke flavor and rub was that good. Brisket was good but I filled up on all the ribs. Fried okra is the best I've had in a while. Only downside I would say is cans for drinks, on a warm day my soda got a little warm would like a glass with ice. Otherwise I'll definitely be going back in the future.”

“The food is amazing and the people running the truck are super nice. I'd love to be able to provide pictures but the food usually doesn't last long enough for us to take pictures. We always split orders of tacos, quesadillas and a few tamales. All of the salsas are absolutely divine as well. 10 out of 10. “The place is relatively new (opened in April of 2021, it is now July) so I wanted to go a few times before reviewing. The first few times I could tell employees were still training because portions were small. The food has always been delicious, so that’s never a disappointment. However they have gotten additional management or training that is simply exceptional. They are always very fast, and rarely (if ever) is there a line. It is usually very busy, which is no surprise, but I have never had to wait for my food for more than a couple of minutes tops. This last time I went I was especially pleased because a supervisor was attentive enough to ask us for our opinion and admitted that as a newish location they are still smoothing things out. If this person goes up the ladder the future of the company will definitely keep thriving. Once home, the food was visibly beautiful, and of course the taste was delicious as usual. If you came here before and had a not-so-great experience I do recommend giving it another shot given that things have started running more smoothly and the portions are gigantic (especially on the large). To give an idea, my very tall (6’4”) very husky husband will usually eat three-ish meals out of one large plate. It’s mostly rice, chicken, veggies, and pasta (along with other sides you can add) and our kids are always excited to come here. It is a winner for us.”

Not to mention the food was phenomenal. I’ve had a similar seared tuna dish at another restaurant priced $18 and the one here was $38. It sounded good on the menu but I was skeptical. First bite I could immediately tell the difference. The same rang true for every stage of our meal. I’ll be back! Who knew this was in Shawnee?!”
