“Really really good fried rice and I pride my self as a fried rice expert since my parents owned a restaurant for 25 years. The vietnamese spring rolls are okay. Not a fan of cucumbers in a big chunk inside with thick peanut sauce.. Not a lot of sauce either. The spicy beef soup was okay.. the beef is a little dry since the meat wasn't fatty. Atmosphere is a little weird when I went. It was empty at first but without music, it's like sitting there in silence but the restaurant started filling up later. The menu is HUGE so it's a little overwhelming and the waitress has an English barrier so do not try to make any special requests. It might be messed up. BUT that fried y'all. I'm going for that.”

“Wife and I wanted to get some brunch, and she recommended this place. The servers were all very friendly and welcoming. Started off with the Bloody Mary, and it was great, you could actually tell they were generous with the vodka. Wife got the Crepe Sedra, and I got the Breakfast Quesadilla. Food was great, will definitely be back!”

“This establishment is the BEST! Literally the best crawfish I’ve EVER had. And the Krack sauce it comes with *chefs kiss*. It is run by a husband and wife. They’re super nice and have the cutest kids who are so respectful and sweet. They have crab and shrimp bags as well with potatoes, corn, sausage and eggs. They eventually want to open their own shop. So PLEASE SUPPORT! Dude is the best boil king in Louisiana to be sure. 💗”

“We had a great time. There are a number of unique menu items that you don't find just anywhere. Our server was friendly and quick. She answered all of our questions. The food was fantastic. Prices are reasonable. It was a little loud because there was a live band (Wednesdays and Fridays) but it was fun.”

“I got takeout and didn't dine in, but had a very good experience. The restaurant is very new and clean. The server was friendly and my order came out fast. The food was fantastic. I got a Pollo Torta and a fish taco and I enjoyed every bite. I'll definitely be back. There are a lot of unique seafood dishes that you don't find at "regular" Mexican restaurants. Highly recommended.”

“As of today May 16th they are officially open! Ordered the bacon egg and cheese croissant. The croissant is nice and flaky and bacon taste like my granny cooked it. They are a little chaotic bc it’s their first day open so I’ll cut some slack. Added pics of inside and chalkboard menu on wall. The decor and floors they did look phenomenal imo. Cool little diner feel! Imo a dollar extra for cheese is high and especially when croissant is already on the higher end. All in all sweet lady’s working here. Edit: I came back for lunch to give them a shot on their burger, I wanted to love it…but, the burger has different bun options which is cool, again $1 extra for cheese. The burger has a really sweet taste like they put sugar in the recipe. It doesn’t come with any fries. The fries are extra. I got the swampy fries, they were loaded with roast beef and gravy, would’ve been better had the added cheese. All in all for the hamburger, fries, and a drink was $20 with tip. I didn’t really care for the sweet taste on the burger meat. Added pics of burger and swampy fries.”

“Recently, I went and had a ladies' night with some friends. Overall, we had a great time! It was fun throwing axes, and the young woman who helped us was awesome. She was doing double duty checking people in and bartending, but still managed to explain how everything worked and made sure that we had a great time. Our only complaints were that the menu was super limited, drinks were a little pricey (but...could be because of inflation 🤷♀️), and that at least two of the beers on tap were flat (Yuengling and Miller lite). We had a good time, but I'm not sure that we'll be back.”

“Went on a Friday morning for a burrito. $8 and quick service for an excellent meal, I got a chorizo burrito and it was pretty good size for the price. I'll ask for extra salsa next time it was a bit dry for me but still excellent.”

“I found this local gem right past the Hwy. 11 bridge, just past Charter. Their snowballs are soooo delicious!!!! They use the BEST buttery smooth ice, and they even have sugar free options!!! My kids and I had the strawberry, sour apple, and wedding cake flavors. We also ordered the best nachos we’ve EVER had from a snowball stand!!! Go check them out. I promise you won't be disappointed.”

“I stop here occasionally to get fuel and they are OK. One complaint is that they charge extra to use a Shell card. I can understand an extra charge for a bank card, but unlike Chevron stations in the area, they charge extra for using their own company card.”

“Our first experience at Bistro 55 was wonderful and we were planning our next trip before we left. The owners and servers were all extremely friendly and inviting, and the chef even came out to make sure we enjoyed our meal. The patio was very charming. We really enjoyed the beautiful decor and cool hangout area. The debris fries were delicious and the fried green tomatoes and crab meat were divine. Also, the enclosed patio made it very convenient for families with little kids like mine. We can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!”

“My 1/2 of Hot Sausage PoBoy had two patties on it, WooHoo! and the French Bread was fresh, BONUS! I did order the Seasoned Fries which were hot and crispy but I'm really not a fan, by personal choice, I would rather have regular french fries. Which they do not have on their menu. My total cost was $13ish with a 15% tip. I did get water and there were enough fries for two people. I really enjoyed my PoBoy, I will go back again but next time I'll skip the fries and get a whole Poboy.”

“My husband and I decided to try this place and I am so happy we did. There is and outside area where it looks like they can hold events but we just ate inside. Our food was absolutely delicious and came out so fast. The waiter kept refilling our drinks insuring we didn’t choked on our food. We actually been back about 3 times after this and each time was the same. Can be intimate or casual, cozy but have spread out room if need.”

“I've been here a couple of times now and I'm a bit surprised that there is rarely a crowd. The food is awesome, I've had the Baleadas especial, the birria tacos, and the horchata and of course the complimentary chips. Everything is absolutely delicious, and made fresh. The service is great, I've never had a bad server here, they are always so polite. The environment is quiet which I like, however at the cost of ruining that it would make me very happy to see more people flocking here. It is great for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Best latin cuisine that I've had in Slidell. Only thing I wish they served is cafe con leches, it would go perfectly with the Baleadas in the morning.”

“Awesome restaurant to have in this area! Big menu with wide selection of classics, their menu also includes vegetarian dishes. Walked in with a table of 12 for lunch on the weekend and they were able to seat us and give great, quick service. Chips and salsa brought to the table upon arrival. Some dishes we enjoyed included the pollo loco, street tacos and the veggie plate.”

“We were truly impressed with all of the food we ordered. We tried a little of everything. Spaghetti special, street tacos, southwestern egg rolls, happy plate, rice, beans, chips and salsa.... not one thing I would change about any of it. I did add guacamole to my street tacos but that's just my preference. We will probably have this more often than we should. Great job yall!!!! Oh and the price was under 50 bucks for all of this food! Excellent prices to boot!”

“My wife and I put a carry out order tonight. The female who answered the phone was very friendly. She said it would take about 15 minutes for our food to be ready. When I walked through the door I was instantly greeted by 2 young females behind the register. I don’t remember their names but they were very cordial. The food was great. The food reminds of “home style” cooking. The chicken tenders are large! The mashed potatoes and gravy and red beans were fresh. The French fries were good as well. Look forward to more meals with The Chicken Box! I will be recommending them to others as well.”

“Love this place! The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. She has gifts and food items made right here in Pearl River, as well as fresh breakfast and lunch. Great spot for feed and other pet supplies of course, and prices are in line with chain stores out in Slidell - without the drive. Save time and gas, make Mimi's your go-to!”

“Shout out to Eight60 wine whiskey bites! Had dinner last night with the fam and every single dish we got was delicious, was served quick and fresh! We had pork skins for appetizers (which was still poppin when it was served to us) tuna ahi nachos, pulled pork bbq mac n cheese, rip it up (chicken strips & fries), teriyaki flatbread and beignets for dessert. Not gonna lie, their beignets was top notch (light and fluffy) and they serve it with hot white chocolate on the side (super yum!). The servings are crazy big too! Their drinks are as good as their food and you can tell they use fresh ingredients. Not a thing went to waste lol. The staff is awesome and the manager was very personable. We will definitely be coming back! Y’all should try this place out! ♥️♥️♥️”

“I initially went to Pedro's tacos and tequila bar near Walmart, but I left. Another couple and I waited to be seated, but no one acknowledged us, so we left. All the workers were by the bar just talking and looking. I'm glad I left and found this little gem. I wanted some birria tacos and a margarita. Let me say El Paso Mexican Grill did not disappoint me. They were delicious!!! I also enjoyed the chips, salsa, and bean dip. The food came out rather quick and yes, it was a slow night, but they did not skip on the quality of food I was served. It was hot and all quite detectable. The hostess and waitress (Lesly) were both very kind. Fyi: The waitress informed me that they have a live band on Thursday and karaoke too. I definitely will be back to try more on the menu and enjoy the live band, too. Don't let the outside fool you and pass them by, I almost did and sure glad I did not. I recommend you give them a try!”

“Super friendly owners. We weren't sure what to pick, so he made suggestions, and we took him up on them. We had the oxtail, jerk chicken, and chicken stew (and a Jamaican bread/rum cake that was strong but yummy). Everything we had was tasty. It was spicy, but not make you cry spicy. I would definitely recommend. Especially if you're looking for something other than fried seafood..”
