XOXO Sushi Bar

Address: 1154 Boylston St, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467, USA

Restaurant

“Dinner was incredible. I would give it 10 stars if I could. I’ve never been more impressed with a restaurant and its service or food. There’s valet parking which was extremely convenient, we were sat quickly and immediately met with recommendations and ideas to make our dinner perfect. We ordered several items from the menu and each one was better than the next. While we sat at the bar, we watched each plate being meticulously put together with care and precision. Everything was so fresh and delicious! I’d definitely recommend it and will be back!”

chilacates Brookline

Address: 1412 Beacon St, Brookline, MA 02446, USA

Restaurant

“Nice new Mexican restaurant that opened in beacon Street. We tried the food right away, got the enchiladas, quesadillas, flan and tres leches. Food was amazing and tasted delicious. The price was affordable and the food quality was good with fresh meat and sides. The portions was small for that price. Loved the artistic style, great paintings and nice place to have a dine in. Customer service was amazing and the service was fast. The menu board was small and hard to read with so much lighting but the menu options are great. Desserts were good too but still very small size for that price. Definitely a great place to try. Will definitely visit again.”

Bar Vlaha

Address: 1653 Beacon St, Brookline, MA 02445, USA

Restaurant

“I was able to go to this restaurant for dinner on its opening night, and it did not disappoint! The aesthetic is lovely. It really feels like being in my grandmother’s kitchen! It truly feels authentic to its Greek roots. I love the presentation of the water. It takes me back to my great-grandmother’s house. The drinks are great. I ordered the Pump the Briki — a twist on an espresso martini — delicious. The presentation is beautiful! The bartenders are masterful in their drink making skills. I also ordered a glass of wine — the PORTO CARRAS LIMNIO — and I loved it. I especially appreciated the backstory on how the wine is created, as a wine lover myself. For the food, I ordered the HORIATIKO PSOMI, MAVROMATIKA, and the KARAVIDES. They were ALL amazing. The bread has a bit of sea salt to it, which sets it apart. The mavromatika was a great bean-based salad, and I normally don’t care for beans! However, it was splendid. Finally. The Karavides. What can I say? My taste buds felt electrified by the sensational flavors happening in my mouth. I’ve never tasted anything like it. You don’t just eat the food here; it’s an experience to be treasured. The kitchen staff is truly excellent. This restaurant is another win for the Xenia Hospitality Group, and I cannot recommend it enough. Everyone must go here!”

Cubist Circle

Address: 220 Washington St, Brookline, MA 02445, USA

Restaurant

“I got the chance to visit the place for a hangout event with 6 friends. They did give us a round table. I don’t know if we called ahead, but you better to reserve that only round table for sure if you have a bigger party. In general, small place, tasty food. Especially the chili beef, highly recommended!”

Blackbamboo Brookline

Address: 320 Washington St, Brookline, MA 02445, USA

Restaurant

“We stumbled in with a hankering for good Chinese food — and boy, did this place deliver! We ordered the Chef’s Special spicy pot and stir fried pork intestines. Both dishes were fun to eat and packed full of flavor. Service here (like the atmosphere) is very welcoming and relaxed. If you shy away from spice, don’t sweat: They make every spicy dish a default “medium” level, then allow you to add spice as needed. Overall, we happened on a Brookline Village gem and will likely be back soon!”

Rifrullo Cafe

Address: 147 Cypress St, Brookline, MA 02445, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“Just had the mushroom and goat cheese tart and a piece of the upside down rhubarb pie. Both were delicious! The chocolate chip cookie was a bit on the thin side for me. It crumbled in my hand and half of it ended up on the floor. Sad face. I will definitely be back.”

Brookline Golf Course

Address: 1189 W Roxbury Pkwy, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467, USA

Restaurant

Robert T. Lynch Municipal Golf Course

Address: 1281 W Roxbury Pkwy, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467, USA

Restaurant

“Pros: Conveniently located near the city for city dwellers. The golf course also has a driving range with mats (but no grass). There’s also a practice chipping/putting green. Greens are running smoothly and are receptive on approach shots. There is a laid back ambiance and people are there to enjoy the game. Less challenging than some other courses due to the layout being wide open. Cons: Fairways have rough patches. Some holes have small creeks running across the fairways which can penalize a perfect drive down the middle.”

Healthy portions - I recommend you get an extra portion of noodles and get extra meat/protein that way you can end up with enough for two meals. For an extra splurge - try out the octopus balls!”

Dok Bua Thai Kitchen

Address: 411 Harvard St, Brookline, MA 02446, USA

Restaurant

“I have been going there since 20+ years ago. Hands down the best Thai food here in the US. I no longer live in the MA area but go back to Dok Bua every single time I am back in MA. Food is too good!!! Authentic flavor too! My only “complaint” (not quite a complaint) is that they no longer take my VIP card (10% off) that I had signed up for and kept for the past 20 years. I kept the card with me and took it every time I visited. 🤪”

Kupel's Bakery

Address: 421 Harvard St, Brookline, MA 02445, USA

Bakery Cafe Restaurant

“Decent bagels for Boston, but I don't understand the hype surrounding their bagel sandwiches. Specifically, what's going on with their egg? I'm from the NY area and have pretty high standards for breakfast sandwiches. I've been here a few times when I need to satisfy my craving, but while it's better than most here, it's still seriously lacking. The other day, I watched them "cook" my egg. They heated up a dry egg patty (like McDonald's) and then plopped it on my bagel. This answers the question I had about their egg being underwhelming every time. The bagels themselves are decent, but after my first time here, I have to order them toasted (a perfectly fresh bagel shouldn't need toasting). It also makes me sad they don't offer meat (no bacon, egg, and cheese :( ), but I respect their reasoning behind this, and it doesn't cause me to deduct stars. Next time I go, I'll probably buy a half dozen and then make my own sandwiches at home.”

Pizzeria Dante

Address: 415 Harvard St, Brookline, MA 02446, USA

Meal delivery Meal takeaway Cafe Restaurant

“The best meatball I've had since my mother's. The pasta was perfect. The thin crust pizza is out of this world. We never eat the crust and we ate the crust! We've come here every night we've been town. If I lived in Brookline I would come every day. And David is very friendly and knowledgeable. Fantastic spot.”

Anna's Taqueria

Address: 446 Harvard St, Brookline, MA 02446, USA

Restaurant

“Great food, ok price. Durring the day they are very quick with lots of staff. I have had some attitude and waiting for a while for no reason after 8pm but the food was still great.”

Genki Ya

Address: 398 Harvard St, Brookline, MA 02446, USA

Restaurant

“Just arrived to Boston, stopped at the restaurant for a late lunch at 3:00pm. This place was an excellent choice for a quick bite to eat. In terms of food, i had the doomsday roll. Don't let the inclusion of banana as an ingredient scare you away. It truly complements this hot roll perfectly. Finally, the server was so funny and helpful. Would definitely eat Genki Ya in the future.”

Vello Restaurant & Bar

Tatte Bakery & Cafe

Address: 420 Harvard St, Brookline, MA 02446, USA

Cafe Bakery Restaurant

“I live down the street and always order from Tatte and have had amazing experiences so far! Today I had a sandwich that didn't agree with me and I was terrified of calling and asking for a refund - I didn't want to be a "Karen". But the staff and manager were so understanding and issued me a refund without any hesitation. I WILL be coming back to Tatte because of numerous past great experiences, and great service in a difficult moment. It happens, and regardless, the food is delicious. Thanks for helping me out, I really appreciate it.”
