Brew

Address: 108 E Front St, Traverse City, MI 49684, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“Great place with the best cold brew we’ve ever had! Highly recommend this place for coffee, but we also came here for happy hour and their beer selection was good. Their cocktails looked amazing too but we didn’t get to try those. The service was great as well which we always appreciate. Will come again!”

Bootlegger's

Address: 119 S Union St, Traverse City, MI 49684, USA

Restaurant

“We were greeted exactly upon entering by the very kind bartender/ server Laura. Excellent service. This place is a hidden gem for us. With how packed many of the bars restaurants right on Union St. are, we were glad to find a quiet, clean setting with comfortable bar height tables and stools just around the beaten path! The food was fresh and tasty with more delicious options than just typical bar fare. And the MUSIC?! Fantastic mix of 80’s and 60’s Motown! Nice for kids with the paper coloring menu and good options for 2+ kids. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked and our drinks were not at all weak. Will definitely return in the future.”

Dillinger's Pub

Address: 121 S Union St, Traverse City, MI 49684, USA

Restaurant

“The service and food were the best we have had in a long time. The waitress was great, funny, and a very nice person. They have a good selection of food and are not stingy on their portions. We had a great time here and again the waitress was amazing. Will definitely go back when we are in the area Very fast friendly service.”

Ram's Traverse City

Address: 127 S N Union St, Traverse City, MI 49684, USA

Restaurant

“Absolutely loved this place. The bartenders were amazing. They stopped to talk to you, but kept the bar running at the same time. The food was very good too. The plan of the day was to have one drink at every (reasonable priced) bar and we would be done. When we did it, all 5 of us decided to go back to only this bar.”

Cousin Jenny's Cornish Pasties

Address: 129 S Union St, Traverse City, MI 49684, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“This is my absolute favorite place to eat in Traverse City. I’ve been eating here all the time this summer since I’m working downtown for a few months. You can get a pastie and a drink for $10. No matter what kind you get, they’ll always be warm and tasty, and they’ll fill you right up. I’m never left hungry here, but I always wish for more food anyway because it’s so good. They bring your food out to you with all the condiments you might need with your meal and they bring it to you almost as soon as you sit down. They also have salads and pasta salads along with a variety of drinks (fountain soda, tea, lemonade, bottled drinks). The ladies that take the orders are always so kind and accommodating and they’re fast and efficient. The owner is the nicest person you’ll ever meet and will make sure you have a drink refill if you want one. This place has a great theme and is a great place to people watch. Cousin Jenny’s also ships pasties nationally so even if you’re only in town on vacation, you can still have these great pasties when you go home. You can eat in the restaurant or get it to go.”

Blue Tractor Barbeque

Address: 423 S Union St, Traverse City, MI 49684, USA

Restaurant

“Been here twice now, and have had nothing to even remotely complain over on either trip. First off, the food is phenomenal. Good, down to earth BBQ. Meats seasoned and cooked perfectly. Great portion sizes for the prices, and the kitchen is always fast with orders. Service has also been extremely pleasant on both visits. Topped off with a great selection of local, and imported beverages. I’d HIGHLY recommend giving this a try when you’re in the area.”

J & S Hamburg

Address: 302 W Front St, Traverse City, MI 49684, USA

Restaurant

“I called ahead to order food (French fries and an olive burger) and I let them known I was a good 25 minutes away. When I got there it was soggy and cold, like it was made right when I called. When I let them know they quickly replaced it and were friendly, asking if I wanted anything to drink even tho I only had a to-go order. I will always recommend them for their friendly and fast service and wonderful food!”

Alliance Restaurant

Address: 144 Hall St #107, Traverse City, MI 49684, USA

Restaurant

“Self-proclaimed foodies, try this restaurant out! The menu is constantly changing, and the food is very thoughtfully/creatively prepared. We ordered 3 veggie (smaller) dishes and one fish (larger) dish between 2 people, plus cocktails. We asked what was on the dessert menu before ordering dinner and decided to sacrifice dessert for more entrees, since nothing on the dessert menu was calling our name. It was a good choice. In retrospect, we should have just ordered more veggie dishes instead of the fish. There was nothing wrong with the fish, but I really think veggies are where this chef shines. The cocktails were solid. Service started out a TINY bit pretentious and turned into a lovely experience when it became clear that the staff are just as nerdy and enthusiastic about food as we are. They noticed us using spoons to scoop up every last bit of sauce and very considerately brought us a free basket of fresh bread. Such a nice and professional touch. The chefs cook right in plain view in an open kitchen. The restaurant can get loud, and it is very bright with huge windows and plenty of lighting. We enjoyed our experience and hope to be back!!”

Bay Bread Company

Address: 601 Randolph St, Traverse City, MI 49684, USA

Bakery Restaurant

“Wheat, when it dies and goes to heaven, resurrects here amongst the white-clad baker-priests. In as many forms as there are people to eat it. I'm not a church goer or a bread eater, but when I AM...You will find me here, sniffing the delicious air and mourning the fact that I can only eat one breakfast a day. Two, max.”

Frenchies Famous

The Chef's In

Address: 519 W Front St, Traverse City, MI 49684, USA

Restaurant

“Excellent sandwiches made to order with only a short wait. I had the turkey and chedder and Mom had the Reuben. Both were very good and inexpensive. The bun my sandwich was made on was so fresh and fluffy. Just a top notch sandwich made exactly the way I wanted it. Added this place to my regular rotation. They also have a salad bar and homemade soups, drinks, chips.”

Grand Traverse Pie Company

Address: 525 W Front St, Traverse City, MI 49684, USA

Restaurant Bakery

“I always love this location. It's not the fanciest or biggest. It is in Traverse City but not the original location. This location just always has good energy. It's located in a strip mall, just outside the core of downtown. You order your food or pie and pay there. Then when it's ready they call your name to come get it. I ordered the Cherrywood BLT sandwich and a pumpkin muffin. Both were very good and very fresh. Their was plenty of well cooked bacon on my BLT. The person I was with had the breakfast sandwich and also thought it was very good. The service was excellent and very efficient while being very friendly. Overall a 5 star review. Would I return? Yes I will.”

Sleder's Family Tavern

Address: 717 Randolph St, Traverse City, MI 49684, USA

Restaurant

“This is a great place. Lots of history. Many beers to choose from. I sat at the bar late in the evening, but didn't order food. It is a truly beautiful, historic, and memorable experience. It was really bright inside, even after 10pm. The lights could maybe be turned down a notch.”

Little Bohemia - MI Family Tavern in The West End

Address: 540 W Front St, Traverse City, MI 49684, USA

Restaurant

“A small tavern with deep roots, this quaint bar offers a few choice entrees to go along with the drink selection. For a place with the name "Little Bohemia", you wouldn't expect outstanding lasagna and a great Olive burger. They definitely surpassed those expectations.”

Bushi

Address: 531 W Front St, Traverse City, MI 49684, USA

Restaurant

“First time here and the tuna was unbelievably fresh. So delicious. Loved the onion rings. The avocado was the best I have had all year. Will return.”

Mary's Kitchen Port

Address: 539 W Front St, Traverse City, MI 49684, USA

Restaurant

“Has pre-made subs that are honestly AMAZING. The gobbler is my personal favorite, which comes on this delicious bread sprinkled with sea salt. They have an array of beverages as well, from homemade juices to organic teas. Definitely my favorite spot to go to grab a quick sandwich and some chips. They also sell cooking supplies, which I cannot speak to the quality or price since I only go there for the delicious subs.”

Slabtown Burgers

Address: 826 W Front St, Traverse City, MI 49684, USA

Restaurant

“We got to experience the amazing-ness that is Slabtown Burgers on our last visit to the Traverse City area. They were pretty busy when we went, but it was to be expected on a Saturday night in the summer. Despite the crowd we were still able to find a spot to eat with no problem and our food was ready quickly. All of us were impressed by how delicious the burgers were and I’m a fan of any place that offers tater tots. We will definitely be going again the next time we are up north.”

Slate

Address: 250 E Front St, Traverse City, MI 49684, USA

Restaurant

“Outstanding food and service. Our server Andy suggested our appetizer, entree, sides, and dessert- he was spot on. You will find the preparation of the steak to equal that of the top NYC steak houses like The Palm, or Peter Luger's. Treat yourselves to a special evening in downtown TC - stop in and visit Slate (across the street from the State theater).”

Rare Bird Brewpub

Address: 229 Lake Ave, Traverse City, MI 49684, USA

Restaurant

“Saw this place on the PBS show "Under the radar." I came to Traverse City on vacation and had to try it. Very impressed. The waiter that we had was top notch. We had a two year old with us and he made sure that her food came out first.( Very important). We never had to wait for a drink and the food was of quality ingredients and fresh. Will definitely come back!”

Taproot Cider House

Address: 300 E Front St #104, Traverse City, MI 49684, USA

Restaurant

“I was excited to try this place but found that our waiter was not very thorough and did not give much effort to explain item upgrades and menu modifications. Upgrading from chips to fries with our entree was $4 plus $0.50 for dipping sauce. Anywhere else in the world, upgrading a side with an entree would be a $2 upgrade at a maximum. Not to mention, the fries were subpar at best. Our bill for two people was $70 for an appetizer, 2 entrees, 1 drink, and dessert. Hardly worth thy price to be perfectly honest.”
