“Would go back for the service, good drinks/cocktails and ambiance. The food we were served was incredibly salty and 3/4 of our dishes were sent back. Our group of 4 is not particularly picky about food and that should say a lot. It was borderline inedible. The waitress was very apologetic and appreciated the feedback and even sent 4 little glasses of wine which was a nice touch. Loved the patio in the back, especially in the spring weather.”

“I come here often and it never matters if I'm here with friends or by myself, LA Bodega never fails to offer a good experience. The wait staff is always friendly and the wine is excellent. If you're looking for a more upscale, Spanish place to eat, this is the place! This is a great spot for a date night, brunch or even a casual get together spot. I do recommend reservations on busier nights like the weekend! I will continue to be a customer here!”

“This is a good place to eat. When youre a fantastic guy, you can't help but offer fantastic service. His food is great, and he has alot of specials. He delivered me and some coworkers some food, and it was still hot and fresh. I plan on getting this atleast once a week.”

“Delicious as always. Location is a bit strange being inside the Hyvee arena but it is well worth it. Cabo chicken and Thai chicken grilled wraps both great choices!”

“The food was AMAZING! I work about a mile away from this little gem of a restaurant. WHY have I never stopped here before today!? This tastes like you just stepped across the border! You have to try this place!! The barbacoa is the best I have ever had. the steak was not dry and so flavorful! The beans too.... yum!! Get some! Cheap too!”

“I got the beef soup and 4 tacos. The soup was great, although I thought it was a larger portion of soup as reflected by image above the cashier when we ordered. My husband got the canitas smothered burrito. He enjoyed his food as well! I tried his and his tasted very good to me as well ! I applaud their staff for a great lunch !”

“I have been to this delightful restaurant twice and both of my experiences have been beyond what I expected. The food is homemade! There is a great variety from of proteins (beef, pork, chicken, and some vegetarian options). I highly recommend this place for anyone who is a search of a home cooked meal.”

“The food is delicious here. Server was very helpful with suggestions.”

“I love this place. I call it "fast chips" because you barely sit down before they put a basket of chips and bowls of salsa on your table. The food is awesome! So is the service. They give a lot of attention and keep your drinks and chip basket full. The staff gets the food out pretty quickly. They always have sports on the tv, often soccer which I love. Try it out!”

“The tour is incredible, and a great value too. My buddy and I spent a good 2 hours here - one on the tour and one in the tap house area. We sampled several beers and even the ones we weren't crazy about, we agreed, was still far above average. Best beer for me was the Bourbon Barrel, a dark and rich beer, but there is something here for every beer and cider lover. If you have an afternoon, check it out! The vibe, the service, and the tour were all excellent. These people love their beer, love their customers, and it shows.”

“The Mixing Bowl is our go-to for a good diner breakfast. The food is always great and maybe some day I’ll come with an appetite big enough for an all you can eat special. The staff is friendly and the portions are big for the price. I always get the Corned Beef Hash and my wife goes for the Egg & Cheese Biscuit. I remember other entrees being great, but this is a place for regulars to order usuals.”

“This place is amazing from the delicious food to a very friendly staff! We loved our experience so much that we came for breakfast twice while were visiting from Napa, CA. The eggs Benedict, avocado toast and omelets were so fresh and tasty. Make sure you try their homemade pop tarts!”

“When they are consistent I’d rate it five stars. Good value, flavor and portions. However this location is very inconsistent and many times the dish I order varies in flavor drastically. 4/6 last visits the meal comes out pale in color and not like the photos on the website at all. When it’s made right, it’s delicious though. Wish they could be more consistent.”

“I'm trying real hard to like The Savory but it's just not working for me! First time there was with a group of four or so and we waited and waited for service before we finally got up and left. This was on a weekday in the late afternoon/early evening. Had great service this time but honestly my drink was sub-par. Visited late on a Saturday night. I was excited for the Whiskey Sour made properly with egg white but I'm unable to figure out what went wrong. My table mates liked their drinks and had a few. I love the redesign of the hotel (have been to several events and tours of the space). I like what they did to keep the tradition of the Savoy. It's accessible, as are restrooms. There's ample street parking. Restrooms are gender specific. Staff was masked for pandemic cautions.”

“I've found them to be slow sometimes, especially in the kitchen, but the food is surprisingly good for bar food. They have a simple but wide enough beer selection, and the rooftop bar is fairly neat and worth checking out. There are a lot of stairs which are somewhat narrow and I can't imagine trying to get down safely if you've had too many. 😁 (If that's an actual concern though, stay on the bottom floor.)”

“Absolutely fantastic! I can’t say enough good things about our experience. Lonnie is simply the best performer I have ever seen, he creates a truly electric and jubilant atmosphere. Lonnie’s show alone would be worth the price of entry (not to mention complimentary champagne at the door). On top of that, the three course dinner was very good. Both my wife and I got different courses and all 6 offerings were deliciously prepared. The speakeasy-era cocktails were on-point and there knowledgeable wait staff were readily available to explain some of the more nuanced menu options. Speaking of the wait staff, the service was great! If you’re a jazz fan, this show is a must-see. If you’re not a jazz fan… it’s still a must-see! I think Lonnie’s performance transcends genres.”

“Outstanding food! A great Italian food restaurant is hard to find in KC but this is it. And while the small restaurant is somewhat off of the main streets in downtown KC, the food and service is well worth the effort. We dined on a Sunday evening when a 50% off special on bottles of wine was available. BUT, be sure to make a reservation as the place was full with an hour wait when we arrived. Luckily, we snagged two seats at the bar for our dining experience and thoroughly enjoyed the evening with Sean, our server/bartender, and new friends sitting beside us.”

“Party atmosphere and quality music with a mostly older crowd. I ordered on the happy hour menu. Expect a $5 cover to enter, and it gets very busy on Saturday; they barely fit me in (party of one). I was hoping to hear more straight-ahead jazz but what I got was a wide variety of classic popular music and great showmanship.”

“Came in late from Dodge City and needed a place to eat and have a drink. Came to Caddy Shack and as soon as we walked in we felt welcome and comfortable. It reminded us of a small town bar and was so cozy. There was an outdoor patio that we could sit outside and eat and drink. Had the some of the appetizers they had on the menu and they were great! The bartenders and other people that worked there were awesome and now we have a bar to come to everytime we come here! Thanks crew for a great evening!”

“I got the veggie burrito, in a tortilla not the bowl obviously, and it was great! I cut remember exactly how much I paid for it but even with a tip I remember thinking it was a decent price. Plus, the staff were so friendly! The burriot was also large enough for me to eat half and save half for dinner later. ☆If you find my review helpful please click the "helpful" button!☆”

“This place has a fun local atmosphere. It's not pretentious at all. It's the kind of place to grab a couple bottled beers, take a shot, eat some greasy snacks then shoot pool and play some arcade games. Pool is a buck, the arcade games are cheap. We had a great time and we'll be back!”
