“We were looking for a casual dinner. Burgers and salad at the Eagle Tavern was just right. And a bonus of checking out the historic building and beautiful flowers.”

“I went to the Eagle Mountain House with my parents and my brother during the Labour Day weekend and I completely fell in love with this place. The room was so cozy and the hotel has such a rich vintage style. We played golf for 3 days; the 9 holes course is in the middle of nature. Although the water stations were empty and the teeing grounds are not in perfect shape, the incredible staff and the beautiful trails between the holes made us forget about the inconvenience. If you don’t play golf, you can enjoy the outside pool, discover your ping pong skills at the game room or go hiking in the mountain that surrounds the site. The food is amazing, the price is very honest, the service is a bit slow but the salmon, the cabot burger and the warm turkey sandwich are worth the wait. Make sure to order a drink and sit on the porch; the view is breathtaking. I want to add that I’m a 24 years old girl from Montreal and I have this dream that one day, I will own a B&B or a hotel. If this day comes, I want it to be exactly like the Eagle Mountain House. Or maybe I will start saving until I can afford to buy this place myself!!! :)”

“Excellent brews, delicious food, friendly staff. The Shannon Door is my preference when I'm in the area. Sure there's other places out there, but only here have I found the laid-back pub atmosphere I enjoy. Wish there was something more like it back home! Ordering personal pizzas makes for a quick and tasty to-go meal, or stay awhile and enjoy all that The Shannon Door has to offer with regular live music Thursdays through Sundays.”

“Loved going to the farmers market at Thompson house eatery in Jackson NH. Nice variety of vegetables, meats, desserts. We had beer and appetizers at the restaurant outside on their deck. The staff was so pleasant, responsive and knowledgeable. The food was amazing. We will definitely come back again when we are in the area. We really enjoyed ourselves. A treasure in Jackson.”

“My family and I had a great time! Everybody was very friendly, and the place was very clean. We had the “3 kings” room, and I especially loved the updated bathroom. Also, the fragrance from the flowers when you walk towards the indoor pool is exceptional. I loved the attention to detail of this place. Thank you for everything you do to make people feel at home. Also, breakfast was delicious!!”

“Look no further, Autumn Nomad is the PERFECT choice for your wedding cake. Not only is Jaime the absolute sweetest, she serves up some freaking amazing cake. The only difficult thing was trying to figure out which flavor to choose because they are all phenomenal. We ended up going with three different flavors because we had such a hard time choosing, but our absolute favorite is called London Fog (honey cake, soaked with an earl grey, honey, lavender simple syrup, filled with a creamy mascarpone buttercream). I seriously dream about it and we are planning to make an annual pilgrimage to the shop to get more. Jaime is also incredibly friendly and very creative; her cakes are true works of art!”

“The food was delicious. Portion sizes were typical and the pricing wasn't too expensive. Service was on the slower side, but is to be expected when it's busy and at a smaller restaurant. It was very family friendly!”

“Great music and bar. How ever over the last couple of years the kitchen has gone down hill a bit. Hamburger we asked medium got it well and must lobster was over cooked also”

“Wait staff was wonderful! Busy night with a 20 minute wait, but the place was popular. Sat in Sports Bar area (little too dark for me, felt like I was in a cave ????) & our waitress was very pleasant, helpful & thoughtful. Food was good, drinks cold & frosty. Standard pub fare with options, skipped dessert but certain it was up to par.”

“Nice family restaurant. Under new management with new menu which is quite limited. New liquor license so we got mimosas but they were in the small size for the price.”

“"Adam A" went above and beyond catering to our request despite the place being swampt with customers. When I saw the line reaching out the door, I thought about going in, but lines moved really fast and service was great. They have really good teamwork going on there. The young man Adam was quick and able to handle multitasking. No one had to wait because of my kids request because Adam was fast and efficient. Great place, clean, great service and tasty ice reams.”

“They sell gas and have plenty of room around their gas pumps. The store inside is a bit small and doesn't offer too much but they do have the essentials. The staff we encountered were all friendly.”

“Yum. Nice outdoor seating. Great service. Solid menu and each meal was enjoyable. It’s a great all-American diner. Also, wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t mention the delicious coffee oreo dessert pie. Clearly made from scratch and way too good.”

“The good - Our waitress Claudia was exceptional. The host, Amy, was impossibly busy with little help yet stayed composed and patient. The bartenders were friendly and the drinks were good. Food was decent portions and for the most part delicious. The bad - We called ahead for seating and were quoted 30 minutes. We showed up 10 minutes later and the wait was up to an hour. We went to the bar and it took 10 minutes to get drinks since they were so slammed. No second round because we could never get the attention of a bartender. Once we finally sat down in the dining room it took another hour for entrees. No manager help for any of the staff and they were left to fend for themselves. We will go back because of the food and friendly service, but we will never set foot in the place on a weekend or during a busy period ever again. Go here during non-peak periods only.”

“The breakfast was amazing. The wife and I went away for our anniversary. We drove by and saw it was packed and decided why not. Best decision we made. Right amount of food and service was amazing and friendly. We shall be back our next trip up. Keep up the good work.”

“Crowded on a getaway Sunday night. Good old fashioned American Comfort food with modern twist. We ate at the bar, which serves full menu, good atmosphere and lively place. Bar back was nice and New England friendly. And the big Sky outside at Sunset so take the deck option if weather allows.”

“I always order the same thing- the Thanksgiving sandwich-because it makes me happy, but I have tried others and they are excellent. This is a nice place with nice folks working there in a real nice place in the state. Simple good fare. Enjoy!”

“Friendly staff, good environment, and decent food. I only gave three stars because our experience took an hour and a half. There were two of us, and we only ordered a small pizza and fried clams. Just a lot of waiting which was not how we wanted to spend our last evening (it was busy when we arrived but about halfway in, all but three tables were empty). Took us a while to get seated and served, probably due to being busy, but it took a loooooong time to get our food and then our check. We left about 20 minutes after they closed as well.”

“Bart's has a wide variety of made to order breakfast and lunch items. Everything is fresh and made to order. Portions are good sized, breakfast is fresh with quality ingredients. Sandwiches are on freshly baked in store bread, and there are a wide variety of hot and cold to choose from. Whether you're in the mood for breakfast or lunch, Barts is one of the best choices in the area. They have a few tables, as well if you choose to eat there.”

“Love this place and eat there every time we're in the area. Food is authentic and delish, and staff is friendly and helpful. Looking for a place to fish in April, ask your staff. Questions on easy local hikes, ask your staff. Honestly, I think we go there as much for the people as the food! LEGALIZE MARINARA!”

“Four star food with a five star waiter. I like to start with the bad and end with the good so stick with me until I tell you why you should go. Sitting down the place looked clean, bright, and comfortable. The table was a little sticky, I'm not sure if it needs to be refinished or cleaned. We started with the Irish Nachos which have a lot of potential; however, they weren't very hot and the flavor of the black olives stood out in a bad way. My salmon burger, and my wife's prime rib and mashed potatoes were acceptable. My french fries and my wife's squash were excellent. The real seller for me was Shawn, I've never had a waiter go so far to help his customers. When my wife asked for horseradish sauce Shawn went out back and made her some (also it was really good). He was polite, he was fast, and he was cheery. All in all I'd say head in, ask for Shawn, and get your Irish Nachos without black olives.”
