“I found this hidden gem in Dyker Heights today as I was walking on 13th Avenue! Their "Salmon Filet Platter" was amazing!!! Everything about it was super flavorful, even the side salad it came with. Very tidy place once entering and their staff is the sweetest. Their prices are very reasonable for the portion size. 10/10 would highly recommend!!!”

“The food are amazing, we had the meatballs for appetizers, it's tender and flavorful. The cavatappi signature pesto pasta is okay, but the seafood risotto is amazing! It's a small restaurant and super packed when we went. It takes a while for food to come out when it's super busy. The service is great!”

“Look no more for the most delicious and freshest Mexican bakery in the area! 🔥😍Everything is made fresh daily, and if you’re looking to satisfy both your sweet and savory tooth, this is it. To my surprise, this bakery makes more than just the widest selection of pan Mexicano and the moistest cakes. 🍰🍩They also makes delicious breakfast tacos with handmade tortillas, different variety of tamales, empanadas and tortas! The staff are just as sweet and welcoming, and make you feel at home. The bakery itself is super clean and organized, and they have two small benches inside to sit down and enjoy your tacos or a cafecito con pan. 😋👍🏼✨ Pictures below in order: 1- Sausage tacos with eggs, refried beans, avocado and a red sauce with the right amount of heat- DELISH. 2- ALL the bread you could want (not pictured are the fresh donuts showcased next to the counter) 3- Strawberry and chocolate cake, Cookies and crème, strawberry tres leches cakes. These were the spongiest and moistest cakes I’ve had in a long time. You could tell they’re made with love! 4- The bakery as soon as you walk in (not pictured are the two benches on each side of the entrance) 5- Chicken and beef empanadas!!! Perfectly crispy on the outside and all the savory goodness on the inside. Not pictured are the 4 types of tamales we ordered. I wish I had 3 stomachs to eat everything!”

“My bf and I found this unassuming gem in Bay Ridge. We went in to try the sushi with very low expectations and were super surprised and glad we tried this place!! I absolutely love their spicy crab rolls (they're a bit crunchy!!)and their tempura rolls (shrimp, chicken or salmon) are amazing too! My favorite roll is usually eel, but I don't like it as much from here. You should def try these rolls as they have a cheaper all day special and the teaa are yummy too.”

Spice Szechuan

Address: 7026 3rd Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11209, USA

Restaurant

“This has become my favorite place to dine in, and I visit almost every week when possible. I’m not usually an adventurous eater and tend to order the same thing repeatedly off menus, but here I feel comfortable trying something new every time, because I have never disliked anything I’ve ended up ordering. Although I know this isn’t an option for many people in these times, it’s definitely a place you’d want to dine in for rather than opting for delivery, I think - the dishes are best had directly out of the kitchen. I hope this place thrives for years to come, because the pandemic has been rough on everyone and I’d hate to see it go.”

I want to give a shout for “Eli” she great us and offered recommendations on the menu, she was professional and nice, was always passing by if we need any thing else. One more thing they are really fast in bringing the food. I came in the afternoon, i will come back in the evening to try the upper part of the restaurant. #Free_palestine”

Restaurant Cafe

“***Tldr: fantastic select goods store in a prime location with a surprisingly powerful dinner selection. Pictured below is the soup of the day, a slow cooked beef shoulder stew and the grass fed steak kebab, with cherry tomato and a well seasoned eggplant.*** So, Sahadis at IC fulfills an incredibly interesting niche and should 1000% be considered as your next go to destination. The selection at Sahadis covers your bases in terms of seasonings with a plethora of options spanning across the Mediterranean as well as northern and western African. Some items here are pricey but keep in mind that you come to Sahadis for select items you can't grab anywhere in the area. Their selection of sodas are also very affordable and fun. Their nuts and cheeses are always fun to gander and gawk at. The bar is lively and the drinks are top notch. I've heard the brunch is also fantastic though I've never had it myself, my friend says they have a potato hash that is slamming! The cheesebreads and foccacias are a no brainer grab you can't go wrong picking these up. What's really improved at Sahadis in my opinion and has really impressed me has been the food. I have personally seen and tasted the monumental leaps and bounds of the housemade food, such as the harissa mac and cheese, the steak kebabs (they changed the meat and portions and it's SUCH a gamechanger), even the hummus beats out most bayridge restaurants now. (Bold, yes). So truly, hats off to the production team and kitchen!!!! They are clearly intent on expanding into the dinner service scene as not only is their menu revamped and thriving, but they have live bands and shows and are catering to the potential of industry city. Don't sleep on Sahadis IC. They're very much in a position to thrive and become the ME food mecca of South slope and Sunset Park.”

Huge Thai

Address: 157 Court St, Brooklyn, NY 11201, USA

Restaurant

“Pineapple fried rice and massaman curry with duck are delicious. The curry is rich and isn’t watered down like we’ve experienced elsewhere. We’ve ordered takeout a few times. The wait time is reasonable (we live about a 20-30 min walk away). We love supporting these smaller neighborhood joints!”

Nabila's

Address: 248 Court St, Brooklyn, NY 11201, USA

Restaurant

“Warm atmosphere with several sizing options to choose from (bite-size, small mezzes, entree). All of the items I tried were really flavorful (with all their components working together) and nicely spiced. The roast chicken main dish I selected was a quite healthy-size portion -- I couldn't quite finish it after eating all the small bites I had already ordered -- and was definitely worth the price. 🙂”

Foo Yum

Address: 5902 Fort Hamilton Pkwy, Brooklyn, NY 11219, USA

Restaurant

“Had the “braised beef intestine noodle soup” with the round rice noodles (they also offer another type of noodle). The beef intestine was tender and the rice noodles were smooth and fresh. The broth was delicious; just the right amount of spice (not too spicy at all). The service was friendly and warm. This must be a new restaurant because one of the cooks asked how it tasted; if it was too spicy. I normally can handle very very spicy foods and this was like a 2/5 in level of spice for me. The portion was good. I do feel like the menu is a bit limited and the prices are okay. The service is very quick and on point. I dined alone during a slow business time and my order was ready in 5 minutes. There is good amount of seating for groups of 4-6, too.”

Lillo Cucina Italiana

Address: 331 Henry St, Brooklyn, NY 11201, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“Okay. Lillo is my favorite place in NYC to eat, and now also my favorite Italian food across the entire United States of America. I’ve eaten at many places, with many different levels of fanciness and quality. Lillo has hole-in-the-wall vibes, homemade deliciousness, and the owner himself serves the food and drinks. The food takes you out of the city and into culinary heaven. The taste and care put into each dish is deserving of at least a Michelin star. Will absolutely be back, many more times.”
