“This was my first visit to a Bruster's in years and a highly satisfying one at that! Stopped here during their final hour of business, and they had their work cut out for them! There was a decent drive-through line and even a few people in line at the window, including us. There were only three employees, but they handled the crowd impressively well, with care for each order. Friendly, welcoming, and efficient staff are a major part of the 5-stars. “We had placed an online order Friday night for Saturday morning pick up. The food was great, I got a sausage egg and cheese with bacon. The order was vegan and delicious. Tough to find parking unless I didn't see a specific parking location. The person behind the counter was fantastic and we had a short but great conversation. “Absolutely loved the Eccentric Bagel! Decided to visit Shelter Island as a weekend getaway from western LI and did not expect to find one of my favorite bagel places of all time. Loved being in the area for the first time ever, and will definitely be back to the Eccentric Bagel, which has my highest recommendation. “We placed an order for two hungry man breakfasts at this establishment. However, despite the name, the hungry man was left still hungry after consuming the meal. The breakfast included three eggs, some hash browns, one round sausage, and a sub bun. While the food was not exceptional, it was at least convenient. On a positive note, the store had a wide selection of items, offering everything one might need and more. We were able to purchase firewood for $10, and the fire starter provided worked wonderfully, making it easy to get our fire going.”

“If this review were based on the quality of food it would have gotten five stars. I ordered pizza for my nephew and daughters combined birthday party. I had placed the order for 2 and a half trays of cheese and pepperoni and a tray of cheese. When I went to go pick up the pizza there was only 1 and a half grays of cheese and pepperoni and a tray of cheese. When I questioned the order and advised him that it was wrong he was quite abrasive and rude insisting that was what I ordered even though I knew that it wasn't. The amount that he told me the pizza was was not even close to the amount I was quoted when I ordered it was exactly the cost of a tray of pizza less than my quote. Needless to say if you're going to be ordering for a party make sure you get your order in writing and definitely do not prepay. Had the man apologized to me especially knowing that the order was for a large party I probably would not have taken the time to write this review but instead he chose to argue with me and insisted that I was wrong like I didn't know what I ordered”

“So the good: generous helping of awesome eggs and tasty bagels that may or may not taste like you expect (which is neither good or bad). The bad: sausage was non-existent taste wise. Very thin. And unless I took a picture I would have thought they forgot! Fairly expensive. I ordered just the bagel breakfast sandwich with no drink and it was over $9. While the service was very friendly they were fairly slow. The menu listed the sandwiches for breakfast and lunch and dinner but no prices and while they had drinks on counter to let you know what they had, again no prices. Also, they had coffee and espresso but not listed and no pricing! Overall, you'll be full with a lighter wallet. Not bad at all just not good. Update - Prices are now listed for sandwiches. But not for drinks.... Finally had lunch and it was good. Very tasty and filling. Drink selection is limited if you want a soda or something along those lines. All told, great tasting foods with sometimes limited selection on bagels. Which is fair after breakfast.”

“Nice little spot! Donuts are hands down the best! You better eat one in the car while they are warm! Red Pepper Gouda soup is FANTASTIC!! Get the big container and thank me later... However, oddly the place doesn't sell cider...that's right...no cider! The apple beverage is called "Squeeze" - it's a mixture of apple and pear juice, which is a bit strange. It's the only cider mill I've been to in the area that doesn't sell 100% apple cider. In the end, glad we came by, donuts were fire, soup was killer...but no cider...”
