“We were visiting the boardwalk from out of town and wanted something different. We found Nollie's Taco Joint on Google and gave it a try. Super pleased with both the loaded beef and loaded chicken nachos. Better than I expected. The staff was super friendly and the unique decor made this place even cooler. The only downside was that there was literally no parking for this place. I parked next door at the gas station and snuck in for pick up. Well worth it. 2 thumbs up Nollie's!!”

“The food was delicious and the atmosphere was beautiful. They have some amazing sculptures on the walls of aquatic life, and the staff were pretty fantastic. The largest downfall is that they are incredibly busy. Its very small, and they have done the best with their space as they can, but it is a local favorite and tourist favorite alike.”

They were were working as fast as they could and we're very upfront about what was going on. The staff was friendly and doing the best they could in a trying situation. “Awesome little family friendly restaurant! We stopped here while on vacation and the staff was SUPER friendly and tipped us off on a few things to do while in town on vacation. Really good food for REALLY good prices. Much better option of you're on vacation on a budget than some of the other choices in town. They only take cash but they have an ATM on site. Just know that if you need to use it expect a $2.75 surcharge from the ATM owners. Besides not accepting credit cards this place is AWESOME. 100% recommend stopping here for good food and local hospitality if you're visiting Carolina Beach. We will be back next time we're on vacation.”

“We were looking for an easy, laid back atmosphere to just hang out and have a bite to eat, but holy mackerel, the prices are outrageous! This is touted as a 'beach bar' in Carolina Beach, but they have Hilton Head pricing. The service was slow, at best. We saw some of the food come out and, in all honesty, it looked very pretty, but we weren't impressed. We got nachos...for about $12 there was only lettuce, cheese sauce (all pooled at the bottom and cool) about 8 kernels of corn and a few beans. No meat at all. Our daughters got the 'mac and cheese' bites...$8. These come frozen from Costco... add a couple of beers for a total of almost $50. Great concept, though...the space is nice.”

“I visited HopLite for lunch and was pleasantly surprised to find that the service in the middle of the day was as good as you would expect it to be in the evening, when they have the most business. I got a beer and the Banger n Mash, which for those who don't know is an Irish staple. This was the best bowl of Bangers n Mash I've ever had and it was a decent and filling portion size. It came with two sausages, peppers, mashed potatoes and brown gravy. The environment is very much a traditional pub but not in q dirty or load way that would deter me from bringing my family. The service was wonderful and prompt, I even bought one of their T-shirts.”

“My family and I absolutely loved this place!! Sounds weird but I had the best salad I think I’ve ever tasted! Fries, mozzarella sticks, and everything else tasted fresh and delicious. You could tell it was made fresh. Server was amazing and super knowledgeable of the items. Our drinks were never able to reach below half a glass!! Will definitely be coming here again”
