“If you find yourself in Chattanooga, you simply cannot miss out on the extraordinary experience that Old Man Rivers offers. As a man who constantly seeks new culinary adventures and has developed a profound connection with food. I must admit that I have struggled to find the words to truly capture the exceptional quality of this establishment. One of the key factors that sets old man rivers apart is its concise menu. Rather than overwhelming diners with an extensive array of options, the restaurant has opted for a more focused approach. This deliberate choice works to their advantage as every dish on the menu is expertly crafted and remarkably fresh. Old man rivers excels and delivering elevated southern cuisine in a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. It is without a doubt destined to become a cherished staple in Chattanooga's culinary scene. I'm confident that it will compel other establishments to elevate their own offerings or risk becoming obsolete in comparison. Prepare to have your taste buds tantalized and your culinary experiences surpassed at Old Man Rivers. From the moment you step foot in the restaurant, you'll be greeted with warm hospitality and an ambiance that encourages you to unwind and save her every moment. The menu may be small, but each dish is a testament to the chef's skill and dedication to their craft. One bite of their meticulously prepared southern delicacies and you will understand why I struggle to put into words the sheer brilliance of their flavors. Old Man Rivers has undoubtedly raised the bar for dining experiences in Chattanooga. It's remarkable combination of exceptional food inviting ambiance and dedicated staff insures that it will leave an indelible mark on your pallet and create memories that will linger long after you've left the restaurant. Honey Seed

Address: 1705 Market St Suite 105, Chattanooga, TN 37408, USA

Restaurant

“Good selection of vegetarian/vegan/gluten free options (or substitutions). With our group, we sampled a variety of things. Good service. Good atmosphere. There will be a large dining space available when it’s not cold and raining. The mac & cheese is fantastic! The breakfast pizza has a honey seed drizzle on it… yum. The French toast is perfect for dessert. The house-made salad dressings and homemade tater tots were great. I personally preferred the Baja omelet (minus the bacon) over the veggie omelet. There is still more I want to try next time.”

Also got the truffle fries and the sautéed mushrooms- both were top tier! To drink I had an aviation and a lemon drop, lovely! Overall a great dining experience. I think it’s reservation only, so keep that in mind when making plans.”

The Better Bakery

Address: 3913 St Elmo Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37409, USA

Bakery Restaurant

“I loved the flavor and moistness of my vanilla and lemon cupcakes. The icing was also delicious! I have been gluten free for about 2 years now due to a gluten intolerance and these are by far the best cupcakes I’ve had in Tennessee! I am also dairy free, egg free, and soy free so finding a quality bakery to accommodate my dietary restrictions has been difficult. I am so happy that I ordered these cupcakes for my birthday! My family also loved the cupcakes and they are not vegan or gluten free! I will definitely be ordering again.”

The Hummus BOWL

“Chattanooga needed a restaurant like this! Casual Mediterranean with quality food, easy to go. You order by a screen and can build your own hummus bowl or wrap. I got a falafel wrap and it was phenomenal. Definitely add the garlic sauce on the side! Will definitely be back!”

“They have a huge place and good food. We randomly went to eat over here and food was great. 6/7 ppl in our group enjoyed there food. I ordered a chille renello and asked them to switch beef with chorizo and it’s the best decision. Love there chorizo and fajitas. They even have some beer and cocktails on menu. They have a huge 32oz beer mug and it’s crazy. Try out there chorizo and spinach dip also. We ended the lunch with an amazing flan. Overall we had some delicious food.”

The Valley Girl Juice Cleanse Key Lime sour was our favorite. The food was great as well. Beer cheese with tortillas, boom boom shrimp tacos, and the chicken Cobb salad were all delicious. Can’t wait for a return visit to try more!”

R&N Irie Jamaican Cuisine

Address: 3224 Dayton Blvd, Chattanooga, TN 37415, USA

Restaurant

“As another reviewer wrote, the flavors were good and this Red Bank addition has real promise. They just need to work out the kinks. They were out of the jerk chicken and stew peas, which were the first choice main dishes. Husband and I ordered curried goat with rice/beans and plantains as a side and stew chicken with seasoned fries and plantains. Based on other review photos I was hoping they’d have that cabbage slaw I saw with some meals, but nope. Total was $37 including tax, which is a tad high, especially since 75% of the curry goat was bone and fat (see picture). Stew chicken was a good portion size and had a flavorful sauce, but the meat (breast) was a little dry. The fries were seasoned well, but were dry and tasted like they had been sitting under a heat lamp. Guessing they don’t have enough kitchen help to make fries to order. Plantains and rice/beans (mostly rice with a scattering of beans) were very tasty. They need more detailed descriptions and fixed prices on their menu. Hoping they’ll get it all dialed in. I’ll check reviews again in the next month or so and base my return visit on customer feedback.”

Restaurant

Slim & Husky's Pizza Chattanooga

Address: 401 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Chattanooga, TN 37403, USA

Restaurant

“Cool, fairly new, pizza place in downtown Chattanooga! Good pizza and good atmosphere in this open, modern space on MLK. Self-service kiosk ordering is a neat touch. Staff was friendly and helpful. Be aware when ordering, the pizzas are more like flatbread...very, very thin and therefore not as filling as typical pizzas. We got a 16" pepperoni and sausage, and honestly, I could have eaten it all myself, but definitely not enough for two adults. Plus, a little pricey at about $20 considering that. Again, pizza tasted great, and it's a nice option if you're nearby. No dedicated parking; just the metered street spots.”

Kai Bistro

“The hippie atmosphere here is 100% on point. It’s absolutely gorgeous on the inside and even more so in the outdoor dining area. I tried the soup of the day tomato basil with fresh bread and had a mocha mint latte. It was delicious! We loved every minute of our experience here. Highly recommend. Also, if you turn down the little alleyway before the Yellow Deli there is a small parking area behind it.”

Miller's Ale House

“Dinner and service were excellent. Sat at the bar and had very friendly servers. I like that they use name placards so that you know who your server is and they know your names. I ordered the ravioli and it was superb. Just the right amount of seasonings, had left overs to bring home. Atmosphere was warm and inviting, can be a bit noisy with a lot of people. Parking was easy to find and free. Will definitely be going back.”

Uncle Larry's Catfish

Address: Chattanooga, TN 37411, USA

Restaurant

“HANDS DOWN the best catfish I have ever had! I ordered mine Cajun-style and it was absolutely delicious! The hushpuppies, okra, "slap em" sauce, and tarter sauce were also all 10/10. The slaw was very good but I prefer mine a tad sweeter... but slaw is just one of those "preference" things. Definitely wont hold it against them because it was still plenty edible. Very great portion sizes! I could have made it two meals… if I could have only stopped eating it. Haha. My only regrets are not ordering the fried green tomatoes as well and not trying this place sooner!”

Level Up Arcade and Billiards

Address: 3801 Ringgold Rd, East Ridge, TN 37412, USA

Night club Restaurant

“I can't say enough good things about this place! I am a graduate student in the area, and if you're looking for a fun place to have a party or get together, no matter the occasion, Level Up is the place to go. The arcade games are great, and the live music or karaoke that they host really adds another level of fun. The food is good, and the prices are fair. Most importantly, the staff is SO friendly and accommodating. My grad program held our end of semester social here and we could not have asked for a more fun evening!”
