I had the oxtails, cabbage, and yams and although my oxtails was not very warm it was delicious. My husband had the fried fish, red beans and rice with Mac and cheese. He loved it. “I got food to go about 30 minutes before closing. The potato I ordered was a strange texture and between brown and orange inside. I had driven to my home in Austin so I was not able to return the food. Very disappointing. Update to original review- I was contacted by Meyer's. They were concerned about the issue with the potato. All of the other food in that order was very good. Just want to clarify that. I was very impressed that they took the time to address this! In fact, I went to Meyer's this last weekend and ordered a baked potato again. This one was perfect! 3/26/19”

“Their tacos are less to be desired. The flour tortillas are very good, but the fillings such as the bacon and egg are really lacking. I honestly thought they forgot the bacon but it was so minimal that I couldn't taste it. Furthermore, their service depends on how busy are. “Got a medium instead of a large! My first time at this store, I called in and ordered a large 5 topping pizza. When I arrived it was ready, they seemed really busy and the guy at the counter was doing a million things at one time (full of flour so I assume he is also a cook). He was really courteous and I did my best to get out of the way as quick as possible. When I got home, I realized they gave me the wrong pizza, I got a medium instead of a large!! Although I was a bit upset, the pizza itself made up for it!! Delicious pizza! I really don't go to big chains much except when I'm tired or we are at work and I'm looking to feed the guys at the end of a project. That being said I called the store and I assume the manager answered the phone, she did a great job getting to the bottom of it! She apologized for the mistake and made the situation a whole lot better! Definitely had great customer service, and didn't let a small detail ruin the experience! If I'm ever nearby again and in a rush I will definitely swing by again!”

“This is absolutely one, if not the best place in Texas for BBQ. So much so that we drove an hour and a half from Waco just to eat here. We both had the brisket and sausage plate with 2 sides and 2 large drinks. For the sides, I had the coleslaw and the macaroni. My wife had the potato salad and the macaroni. My wife said that the brisket was the best she had ever had and that's definitely saying something. I agree since it literally melts in your mouth. Everything was absolutely perfect including the sweet tea. It was definitely enough food to get very full on. After the lunch croud died down, I got in touch with the manager Kevin and let him know how far we drove just to eat here. He was very friendly and came over to our table just to meet my wife and the baby and to thank us for coming such a long way just to eat there. He even hooked up our baby with a free scoop of ice cream and a couple of slices of sausage for coming such a long way. It was totally worth the drive and I can't wait until we can make the trek again.”
