“ABSOLUTELY AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS FOOD & PEOPLE!*! Had lunch 2day- French fried chicken, rice, brown mushroom gravy, sourkrout & unsweetened tea. Delicious! & very generous portions. All under $10???? Then the waitress came around handing out a dish of cherry cake- FREE!*! ???? Nobody does that anymore! Wonderful small town atmosphere w a HUGE friendliness you can't find just anyplace. If you haven't been you should definitely try them.”

“Wow!! Where do I even start? From Joan Herring whom we rented the Sealy House from to how we were greeted when we walked into the Grand, it was AMAZING! Chef George came out to speak with us, he and my husband, David even traded cigar, scotch & bourbon stories. The food was outstanding and we are not easy to please. The shrimp & crawfish fondue 5 stars. The pork ribeye & sides 5 stars. Our waitress, Joan 5 stars. Chef George 5 stars. We left completely satisfied but with no room for dessert. We came back the next night and had equally amazing experience and saved room for George’s bread pudding, OMG!! Now, my husband and I do not typically like bread pudding, but we were sold by Joan & George and to say it did not disappoint, does not do it justice, it was quite simply, the most incredible dessert I have ever had. Thank you for such a wonderful dining experiences!! Linda & David Irwin”

“Food was not terrible, but could be better. The brisket had no flavor and the beans had an odd taste. Their pulled pork and the potato salad were both pretty good. They were out of ribs and Cole slaw, so I can't rate those items.”

“There are very few options available at Round Top. This was a very nicely decorated and clean tavern. There was a solo artist playing guitar and singing which was nice. It wasn't too loud and he had a really pleasant voice to listen to. The food was well presented and tasty. The peach cobbler was rather odd though. Would have preferred it to have had some kind of pastry. It was more like a peach stew. Rather unusual and wouldn't order again. The wait staff were sweet and attentive.”

“What a gem! I’m so glad a friend recommended Lulu’s to me. The space is absolutely beautiful and the wine list was great. We ended up trying the white sangria and it was really refreshing. The three of us all got pasta and it was delicious. I can’t wait to eat here on my next trip to Round Top.”

“After an exhausting day setting up for the Round Top market we were definitely hungry and craving an adult beverage. This was one of the only options available and was a pleasant discovery. The drinks were strong and tasty. The food was very fresh, well plated and scrumptious!! A colorful, festive and clean restaurant. We will visit again.”

“This was truly an unexpected delight!!! We are here as vendors for Round Top Market. It's raining and cold out. This adorable outdoor, tented area looked appealing and the aroma of fresh pizza in the air was very alluring. On entering we appreciated the simplicity of this cozy setup. Extremely friendly staff. We ordered our lamb pizza and crispy rice. Turning around we realized all tables were taken. Three very sweet and engaging ladies kindly invited us to join their table. Our evening consisted of excellent, unexpected company. Delicious wine and truly the most delicious lamb pizza ever!! This is a true must visit when here in Round Top. We plan to revisit again before leaving.”

“This place was AMAZING!!! We were in town visiting and decided to try this place. The restaurant is located away from the hustle and bustle. The drive to the restaurant is beautiful. The decor was simple and cute. The food was awesome. Our group had corn flake chicken, chicken fried steak, tomato basil soup, squash casserole, green beans and mashed potatoes. Everyone kept saying how it was so good. We ALL ATE EVERY BITE! We also each got a dessert and shared. The buttermilk pie and carrot cake were homemade and delicious. 5 stars all around!”

“We we're returning to Kyle TX after just getting off our cruise of 5 nights in Galveston. We we're wanting something really good. My son needed to use the bathroom and we stopped here. As soon as we walked in the smell of BBQ was what we needed. I had the sliced brisket sandwich along with my daughter. My wife had the chop beef and son had a sausage wrap. Some of the best BBQ we have ever had. We are actually planning a weekend drive out just to eat here!!!”

“Amazing burgers and fried chicken. Even with the change in ownership not much here has changed. One new addition is that they now take credit card which is an excellent way to get a burger and some chilli cheese fries when you don't usually carry cash. Can usually be busy but definitely worth the wait.”

“I'm one of the people who come here for the drinks more than anything. You can't really go wrong with all the different combinations. Shakes and slushes are also really good. As far as food goes I'm not crazy about most things but the popcorn chicken and the mozzarella sticks are usually a good pairing with a cold beverage. The brunch burger is also worth a try although it is for a limited time. Staff is usually friendly and wait times are pretty average as long as it's not happy hour but that's to be expected.”

“I happened into Golden Chick on just the right day. They offer fried gizzards and livers on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so I had the gizzards. It's hard to come by a chicken place that fries up a big old plate of gizzards these days. I got the large order and ate as much as I could....that was only half of the box. I love gizzards, so I'll be back.”

“Prauses is a multi-generational "old Texas" meat market. The people there sell the finest beef and hand cured sausage in the region. Most orders are for taking home. Try their no frills lunch, but get there on time, because when the brisket for lunch is gone, lunch is over! Do you want genuine, crafted meat in an authentic, no gimmick Texan setting? Well then, Prauses Meat Market is definitely worth your visit!”
