Trattoria La Vigna

Address: 412 20th St, Galveston, TX 77550, USA

Restaurant

“What a lovely place to have dinner in Galveston! It is downtown, but not on any main restaurant drag, so if you didn't know about it, you might miss it. What I noticed is how well the restaurant was managed and operated. Olga, our server, was friendly and efficient. The food was delicious. We live in restaurant-mecca-Austin, so we're pretty spoiled, but we found this place to be quite wonderful and we'll return every time we visit Galveston.”

Rudy & Paco Restaurant and Bar

The service is really impeccable, I can't say enough about it. Paco was so much fun! He greeted us and he stopped by our table a few times. He was great! We can't wait to go back.”

Mama Teresa's Flying Pizza

Address: 416 21st St, Galveston, TX 77550, USA

“Excellent pizza! There is usually a wait but they take your phone number and give you a call. The pizza crust is what I would call a medium crust, not too thick. The sauce is homemade without being sweet. Please note, it is NOT wood fired but still very good pie. The service is top notch and very team oriented. It takes about 90 seconds for them to clear a table and turn it. Impressive.”

Stranded Corner Galley

Address: 2121 Strand St, Galveston, TX 77550, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“This place is a hidden gem in Galveston on Strand St. My wife and I were in Galveston for an event and stumbled across this place. It was wonderful in so many ways. The chef helped us understand the menu and suggested a few things. The pepperoni poppers were awesome. We had never hand anything like them. We could have just kept eating them forever. I got the corn dog, which at $6.95 seem high, but the thing was HUGE and I could barely eat the whole thing. It was the best corn dog I had ever eaten and worth the price (and more). My wife had a burger which was also very good. The chef was enjoyable to talk with and he enjoyed us eating his food as much as we liked eating it. This is a "must go" place for your trip to Galveston.”

They have a full menu of traditional breakfast fare. We had bagels and salmon which was fresh and delicious. So was the fresh fruit. Wow! “Great new neighborhood spot with indoor and outdoor seating, stage for bands, room to dance and plenty of seating room. The band was Story Book Road, they were awesome! Wine and beer was $4. Allen, Richard and William have worked hard to beautify this corner and succeeded in making this a cool hopping joint! Larger inside than it looks from the outside. Light and airy, casual vibe. Haven’t tried food yet but will be back! We were there Saturday, 4/13.”
