“They have the best food!! I drive 45 minutes to get the food and every single time something is wrong. Last time I asked for jalapeños on the bahn mi and they only put it on one. The time before I asked for ginger soy sauce but they gave peanut sauce instead. And every single time I ask for no cucumbers there is always cucumbers. The owner is amazing! She just needs better staff especially for the high prices for the food! It would be 5 stars without the staff who are very incompetent.”

“Went there with a few friends and got to taste a few of their pastries, they were all beyond excellent! I had the chocolate praline brioche and it was probably one of the best I've ever had. The coffee is also rich in flavor and just delicious. Highly recommended”

“Soups are delicious, as one might hope for given the name. We especially love the peanut tofu. The wraps are also excellent. We really appreciate their no-contact delivery during COVID, although during recent months the hand-off from making the food to getting it delivered has been a little less smooth (we've had food made and then sit for an hour before it's delivered). In terms of quality, Rev. Soup is great, though!”

“My wife and I had one of the most amazing restaurant experiences at the Alley Light. With a “speak easy” type feel from the entrance to the bar they complete the experience with a staff that goes above and beyond to give you the service that matches the atmosphere and makes you feel welcome. To top things off it’s hard to pinpoint whether the food or the cocktails were more memorable. 5 stars all around and everyone was amazing, especially our server Clay who made the whole night come together perfectly. Make your reservations in advance, it’s worth it!”

“This food is amazing! The flavor from the doner style chicken and beef takes me back to when I got kebabs in England and I LOVE IT!! I got two platters one beef and one chicken and the toppings that were available are fresh and delicious and each bite is a pop is flavor. I forgot to take a picture as it was too good to wait. The staff is kind and courteous and I can't wait to come back and try something different!”

“We ordered a Smoked Chicken Sandwich entree and a Fried Catfish entree, both with the days special collard greens, and macaroni and cheese. I also decided at the last minute to get four (4) smoked chicken wings... Let me start by saying that everything was cooked - not only perfectly - but tasted amazing! My fried Catfish - breading and seasoning were unmatched. And the smoked wings...they were out of this world! My entree came with cornbread...Now this was not your ordinary cornbread. That bread was like something they make at church when Jesus is ACTUALLY coming! It was phenomenal. The owner/chef happened to walk by our table, to which I said the food was great. He was grateful, and added that all of their food is made and smoked daily...and that the ribs were good too! Our server Chad was great, and I'd recommend this place to anyone who simply wants good food, especially BBQ!”

“Phenomenal food and well priced in a cute, if overly fly-heavy, outdoor seating area during the times of Corona. Easily the best beef empanada I've ever had and super tasty pork and chicken bao buns, to boot. Not a single dish was a "miss," and the three of us ordered 12 of them to share. C-Ville has great food, but this joint rises above.”

“My wife and I passed through to stroll downtown mall. We saw a couple with some type of waffle and they highly recommended Iron. We decided to try it out and - wow! I had the Morning Glory and it was fantastic. I would go out of my way to experience this again.”

“The beef tacos are my absolute favorite! This spot has fast service, friendly staff, and amazing food. I highly recommend the Santa Fe and the beef tacos. I visited once and since have become a regular for Taco Tuesdays. I love their margaritas which is a testament to the skill of their bartenders as well. I would recommend this location to anyone seeking a great meal with a comfortable atmosphere.”

“I eat here whenever I get the chance. Every vegetarian option is amazing, but my personal favorite is the jerk tofu. One order is often enough for two meals for me, but the plantains should be enjoyed while they're still hot.”

“We had an amazing dinner this evening. The seating was comfortable and not crowded. We felt that everyone was distanced appropriately. The service and the food were outstanding, the calamari was tender and fried perfectly. Also recommend a nice espresso with the tiramisu after, it was a perfect combo. We will definitely be back!”

“I absolutely love this place. The food is always amazing. I have ordered from DOMA many times, and not once have I ever been disappointed. I even got my husband hooked on their food! I always get dak galbi with spicy chicken (adding the cheese is a must!).”

“Just rolled into town for the night, and asked the concierge at Home2 Suites for a recommendation for takeout. Maya was the first name she mentioned, and oh was she right on! I got the hanger steak with Mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts, and my wife got the trout with sprouts and mashed potatoes. I am pretty fussy about my steak, often finding that restaurants overcook it and put so much stuff on it I can’t taste the meat. This was the opposite of that; Perfectly cooked to medium rare, with just enough salt and pepper to enhance the flavor. The trout was also exceptional, such a surprise with takeout. My Mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts were a nice balance, and she enjoyed her sides as well. The guy I ordered from was also really helpful, making the entire experience easy. As someone who considers myself a foodie, I really enjoyed Maya, even if from a distance. I can’t Wait for the opportunity to come back to town and enjoy a meal at the restaurant!”

“O yea! Sea food lover must go. All fresh. So fresh fishes are jumping out of my plate. Crab just walk out. Just kidding. Is really good. Parking is limited, but find a good parking spot and come in and enjoy. Patio or inside. Try the margarita.”

“Everything about my experience was awesome. I had to wait a little bit but not too long. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The cocktails were great and the food was phenomenal. I had the halibut dish this visit. Perfectly portioned, seasoned, and very picturesque. Can't wait to come back!”

“We celebrated my fiance's birthday here last night and couldn't have had a better experience. I felt bad, because we had reserved an outdoor heated patio area for six people. When we got there, even with the heaters, it was a little chilly (38 degrees outside), so we asked to move inside. The staff was so accommodating and flexible with this request! The food was incredible! We enjoyed raw oysters, fried oysters, clam chowder, lobster rolls, crab cakes, and fried shrimp. Everything was great. Even their Belgian fries are absurdly delicious! Ros (sp?) was our server, and she was one of the most cheerful, kind, and helpful servers I think I've ever had in my entire life. Thank you, PF&O, for making my fiance's birthday dinner so great!! We can't wait to come back!”

“Greeted by a friendly staff. Given little bags to put our masks which is nice since most of the time I don't know what to do with my mask. Each table had hand sanitizer. And the QR code menu was user friendly. Breakfast burrito is a great choice. The granola plate did not disappoint, either! For sure a repeat customer.”

“Me and my wife went here for our anniversary and I truly appreciate the entire experience. The food was decedent to the point that I didn't want to rush the meal for the off chance of missing one delicious bite. The drinks were fantastic and the staff and atmosphere were sublime! Will definitely be in my back pocket for dates and future significant events!”

“I make the trip out to Charlottesville about twice a year, and every time Little Star is on a very short list of places that I HAVE to visit. This is quite simply my favorite restaurant on earth. Between locally sourced ingredients and recipes that have been curated and developed by a truly talented team, there are no bad options here. With new items regularly being rotated in, I have never had the same meal twice when visiting. The atmosphere is unpretentious, making it easy to feel comfortable and at home even when engaging in true fine dining. Whether you are just looking for drinks and dinner, or if you have a sweet tooth that can't be sated, Little Star will treat you right and send you home taken care of.”

“The owners are always there! They don't leave and pass off to someone else! ❤️ They can be, and are a bit serious at times towards patrons, and not realize it's a bar and things happen when people drink too much, but they've got a business to run so ya have to respect them for keeping it safe and orderly! Hopefully quarantine will be over and things can get going again! I miss the fried pickles and BLTs!! They always had fresh tomatoes on the sandwich, never mushy and old! I can't eat a sandwich with tomato that is smushed and skimpy lol! It happens more than having the good fresh ones!!”

“Had a great first experience at Passiflora tonight. We sat out on the patio and really appreciated the team’s thorough COVID precautions. Two of us split the shrimp appetizer, nachos, and 2 tacos which was more than enough food. Everything was delicious but we especially enjoyed the nachos and fish taco. The cocktails were also great. The restaurant space was beautiful and the menu prices seemed reasonable for the quality of the food/service/location. Another great C’Ville restaurant from Champion Hospitality Group! We’ll definitely be back!”

“Three of us decided to check this place out recently on a rainy night. The covered outdoor seating was very welcoming with ambient lighting and a bar in the middle. The friendly, personable staff took great care of us. We were originally going to just have a beer or two but after seeing all the creative drink and food options on the menu, we had to try both. I was pleasantly surprised by all the vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. Two of us ordered four tapas style dishes to share - green beans, grilled sourdough, chilled shrimp and a brussels sprouts, mushroom and grits combo - that were all delicious. Our friend had the salmon sandwich which he couldn't stop raving about. I really enjoyed the patio punch and elderberry mead drinks. They were both very refreshing and not overly sweet. They also have some great original gin cocktails and we enjoyed our server telling us about the origin of each brand. The piece de resistance was the blackberry cake. We were all in heaven, especially when eating it with the house-made honey whip cream that comes with it on the side. We look forward to going back!”

“Nice place! Quick place to pick up food. A little on the pricey side but good quality food. wish they had more sauce options.”
