“As a born and raised New Orleanian with an added bonus of being half Cajun, I can rarely find food that tastes like my Cajun grandma made it. We had the boudin stuffed chicken, and it was extremely juicy, very good size, and the boudin satisfied my craving for home cooking!!! I highly recommend for amazing Cajun food!”

Alabama Peanut Company

Address: 2016 Morris Ave, Birmingham, AL 35203, USA

“This was my first time trying boiled peanuts and wasn't sure what to expect. They were delicious. Similar to eating edamame but with more flavor due to the marinades they are cooked in. I loved the Cajun seasoning paired with a spicy pickle monster beer. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Gave me a sample first and a quick rundown about the history of the facility. Would highly recommend.”

I will always recommend Berry by Crystal because the service, freshness, and taste of everything is top notch. Often imitated but never duplicated!! This is not a paid review, but all FACTS!!!”

Current Charcoal Grill

Address: 1625 2nd Ave S, Birmingham, AL 35233, USA

Restaurant

“What an incredible dining experience in Birmingham! I would say that this was probably the most creative and delicious meal that I’ve had in a while. Our server Eloise was very knowledgeable and helped us step outside of our comfort zone with dinner. We had an appetizer with chicken liver and I was pleasantly surprised by how full flavored it was. We came for our anniversary and Eloise was just super thoughtful and helpful. The food did take a minute to come out, but overall it didn’t matter. It was a unique dining experience with a lot of shareable meals. You can make this as expensive as you wanted it to be but don’t have to break the bank to have a delicious meal at the same time. Really neat ambience and trendy atmosphere.”

“My boyfriend and I had an amazing time at Hero! The Loaded Sausage Hashbrowns were perfect and savory, the Hero-ccino shake was rich and creamy, and the Peaches and Cream Donut was fresh and sweet. We loved the food so much that we ordered a Ube and Pistachio Donut to take home! Overall, Hero exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to return!”

“The pepperoni pizza had tons of pepperoni! The crust was charred nicely too. My only complaint is the sauce is a little too sweet, but a little salt went a long way. Tons of cheese too, they don’t mess around with the cheese!”

THE PINK HOUSE

Restaurant

“OUR NEW FAVORITE FOREST PARK RESTAURANT:THE PINK HOUSE We got lucky tonight. They were serving our favorite dish the FARRO SUCCOTASH with squash, zucchini, roasted red pepper, hazelnuts, mushrooms. Brussel sprouts, spinach, green bell peppers, pulled chicken, and secret spices. We also had there famous caramel flan. The Pink House salad and the Chicken and avocado salads are to die for. They have a large selection of wonderful panini pressed sandwiches. We love the Pink House which is located next to the old V Richards parking lot. It is a small restaurant with a bar and eight tables. The food is healthy elegant and delicious. They have amazingly fresh and tasty vegetables . We especially have enjoyed their beet salads and mixed greens. My wife recently had a stuffed avocado which was divine. I love their rosemary pork. They are open for dinner and lunch. The prices are reasonable. You must bring your own wine since they don't have a liquor license yet. They do have take out and a wonderful Sunday brunch. The service is friendly and quick. Don't miss this emerging miracle.”

“Culinary Dropout Weekend Brunch 10/10!!! First time here, the food, drinks, vibe and service were the absolute best. Such a beautiful restaurant. We had reservations and the table was ready when we arrived. We had a large party for a birthday and everything was perfect. The food was delicious. I ordered the Sausage, Bacon & Egg pizza and it was so good. Our party all had something different and everyone raved about how delicious everything was. Drinks consisted of a Boozy Bellini Mimosa and Green tea shots. Both were really good but the shots are where it’s at for me. I honestly can’t wait to go back again.”

Marky's Kitchen

Address: 3134 Cahaba Heights Rd, Birmingham, AL 35243, USA

Restaurant

“Got the Marky's special which is 2 burgers which I wish there is an option for one burger. Fries outstanding crispy and seasoned. The burger was mashed too much and just dry meat. The Bun wasn't steamed as the menu states. I thought it seemed like it was stale. I will come back but if you like Zoe's, you will like this. Even some of the cups and containers must be left over from Zoe's. Not a knock, good use of resources.”

American Deli

Address: 9849 Parkway E, Birmingham, AL 35215, USA

Restaurant

“I'm a big fan of American Deli so when I found out there was a new one opening up fairly close to me I knew I needed to try it. Yesterday I ordered through the Doordash app and got my usual order I always get from them to see if it would be the same. Instantly I noticed a weird difference. I ordered the burger and wings combo and noticed it didn't come with fries so I had to order the fries separately. Then I noticed there were no option to order cheese fries or any specialty fries for that matter and I had to request for it to be added. The burger was not the burger I was use to from other American Deli's. The bun was weird like a wheat bun or something. The burger patty was dry and had no seasoning. It was lacking in a lot of flavor. 5/10 The wings were good I got the honey hot wings and can't complain to much except for the fact the wings were very tiny and had very little meat on them. Flavor was great but with the small size left very little to enjoy. 6.5/10 The cheese fries were okay at best. They weren't seasoned and the cheese had a sour taste not sure what was going on there. 4/10 The lemonade was pretty good just a bit too sweet for me. 7/10 Would I go back yeah maybe but they have some major improvements that need to happen first. Since they just opened I'll check back within a month or 2 to see if quality has gotten better.”

Lightning Strikes Bowling

Address: 3600 Roosevelt Blvd, Birmingham, AL 35235, USA

Restaurant

“Good things: The place is clean and well kept. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was fun and people seemed to be having fun, as we did. Not so good things: Bowling is pretty expensive here! With shoe rental, we (3) spent $75 for an hour of bowling. Then we ordered food, which was also expensive and unfortunately not good. Maybe OK for half the price, or maybe not even that. Overall, it's a good place to bowl if you don't mind the cost. But you'll want to eat somewhere else.”
