“First of all; what a beautiful and Unique name - Virtue and Vice. It is an amazing restaurant in the heart of Danville. We attended their soft opening. We loved the ambiance of the restaurant and how it has been set up with indoor and outdoor areas. It is a family owned business and we had the opportunity to meet with the owners. They were very professional and pleasant to talk to. The service was excellent and the waiters were all very friendly and happy to please. The tapas that were served at the opening were delicious (Virtue in the restaurant name). We loved the beautiful bar and the drinks (where the name VICE comes from) were really good. They have a very good selection of wines and spirits. We are going back there to try the main menu with some of their other items that sound really great. I can tell this restaurant is going to do really well and we wish them lots of success.”

“The pizza was delicious despite not having any meat. The veggie combinations and flavor profiles were unique and refreshing. Tried the mushrooms pizza, potato pizza and pizza of the day. Enjoyed them all with the mushrooms pizza being my favorite. Gustavo was a great help and answered all our questions. He let us know they have 150 different recipes so the pizza of the day will keep rotating. Outdoor seating was really nice and had plenty of tables. Big tables were out there as well for larger parties.”

“So happy these folks opened nearby. Food was all very good but the chicken gyro was truly excellent. Staff was happy to help and very friendly. “Healthy, delicious, and very light to your stomach. My wife and I came a few months ago to "try" their food. Little, we knew we were going to become regular customers now on a weekly basis. My favorite is Phở Gà. Sliced Breast Chicken Phở soup 🍲 and the avocado rolls. 🥑 The staff is always welcoming and friendly. The service is great and super fast. I loved having such great choices available locally. I highly recommend anyone trying their food. You will be pleasantly surprised.”

“Really good soup dumplings ("XLB"). The soup inside was hot, temperature wise, the way I like it. Definitely not a fast place but I rather have the soup dumplings served well than rushed. I did see a lady who looked like she was a server on the phone in one of the dining booths when I came in. She didn't look my way and the kitchen staff had to signal to her and she still didn't look over. A younger man popped out and served me instead and he was great. A tip for the owners: your soup dumplings are very hot temperature wise, it's great flavor wise, but you may want to put a warning on your menu and have your staff explain it before people eat it. There will also be a lot of people who may not know there is hot soup inside of the dumplings so use your menus and staff as an opportunity to expand that understanding.”

Accidentally ordered from their sister location 15 minutes driving south one way, and instead of sending me to the restaurant we pre-ordered the meal, they offered for them to make the food fresh so we wouldn’t have to wait / drive… and they took care of the rest. “I decided to check out Marugame Udon at San Ramon's City Center. It would normally have long lines outside and a long wait. But lunch at 3:30pm sounded like a good time to try this latest hotspot in San Ramon. And it did not disappoint. The broth was flavorful, a tad on the sweet side but lots of ginger flavor gives it a mild kick. I tried a couple of their tempura offerings...the best one for me is actually the shrimp. The batter was light and fresh. Definitely will be back.”

“Delicious food but the choice of wrap makes a difference for to-go orders. I first tried the Thai chicken wrap, it was one of the best wraps I have had in a long time! Next I tried the poke wrap. The seaweed didn't hold together too well but I was able to eat it. However the satay chicken wrap didn't work at all. The kind of rice paper that was used completely stuck to the paper. I had to tear apart the wrap and eat it with a fork and knife (fortunately I had one with me). I'm not sure if it cooled down in the 20 minutes after receiving it or something was missed but I strongly recommend you eat that wrap there to avoid the paper. Overall in giving 4 stars because all the wraps were very tasty, but could do better on the wrapping itself.”

“Am updating a previous review of 1 star when they did not know anything about the coupons sent to local residents, and had no one to ask. And sadly the person was not very friendly about it, so we left. However, management reached out to us to make amends. We did go back and had an excellent meal: had the Deconstructed Samosa with chicken and cauliflower rice - it really was amazing (and had a nice kick to it), much to my surprise. Hubby had Punjabi by Nature burrito and loved it. We will be back! Want to try the fried chicken sandwich, which looked really good. Glad we gave it another chance.”

“3/26/24 Saturday (Outdoor) Lunch - FIVE STARS for the EXCELLENT SERVICE BY Ms ANA (Many thanks to her) and THREE STARS (as above) for the restaurant itself. The outdoor heater did not work. It was a good thing that the cloudy cold weather warmed up later in the day, so eventually there was no need for the heater. That should have prompted them to fix it for the evening dining. The meat cuts were of excellent quality though menu choices on salad were so limited. There was no day special to alternate to. If guest is not much of a "meat eater" or are "budgeting" meat consumption - it would be a little difficult. The 3 wine tasting flights was a very good concept - perfect for "social drinking" without driving to Napa.”
