“We have been coming to Carmel for many years, and Grasings has become our favorite 'go to' place. Ira, Danielle and Aaron, along with all of the servers and hosts, take care of you in the bar. We love eating in the bar where you can choose from the bar menu as well as the dining room menu. Grasings always makes us feel welcome and glad we came. “We celebrated my birthday here. Daniel - our server has given us 5 stars service. He made us feel so welcomed. Excellent Mediterranean food, Greek salad was freshly made with care. The grilled calamari was so delicate( although I wished they actually would grilled it instead of battered it). Very delicious though. The chicken kabobs was tender, juicy and very flavorful( I’m very picky when it comes to chicken kabobs). Treehouse Cafe got this down.I would come back again on my next trip.”

“Great little find tucked away in Carmel, if you didn't look for it you would not know it was there… but that's the way things are in Carmel. This is definitely a place to visit, the menu is excellent and varied. And the service is fantastic and personal this is definitely a place you should try as well as bring your friends; it can be noisy sometimes… but that's what makes it nice. Cheers to the owners”

“Came here on a Sunday at lunch and were met with very nice owner and server named Rafael. They were so nice and very accommodating! Had the Basil Burger (cooked medium) with side salad. Farm to table food .... burger was PERFECT ! Also had a Passionfruit Martini which was wonderful. We will be coming back very soon. Thanks for such a good experience.”

“This is a nice place, little small. Service was very good, nice waitress. We came with no reservation but they were able to seat us. Ordered shrimp cocktails and oysters shooters. Shrimp was fresh and very yummy. Shooter was in shoot glass with salsa, again very yummy and Fresh warm ciabatta bread and butter, also yummy. I'll definitely go back if in the area.”

“Adorable breakfast/brunch spots. We ordered there omelette with avocado and cheese. We also ordered their scones with tea. The omelette was very fluffy and delicious. The scones are different from the typical stones that you see. By itself it is kind of bland. You have to use their jams which are homemade. The staff there was very friendly and kind. We sat out in the patio which had about three or four tables. Inside looks very cozy. I love their teapots, it was so pretty. They also sell their jams by the jar and their pre mixed scones box so you can make them at home.”

Very cute and since I was early before the lunch rush no wait and service was great, very attentive and, was training someone new. “Great, personable service! Attention to detail on every level. I had the half roasted chicken masala plate. It was delicious- I could have appreciated the chicken to be a little bit more charred on the skin and little more seasoned. However, combined with the arugula and masala sauce - it was great. “To be honest the food was healthy and edible but no amount of home made mushroom sauce and parmesan is going to disguise uncle bens rice and turn it into risotto. The meat we had (chicken and prawns) were reheated and the prawns tasted fishy and tough. I felt like it was all bought in the Safeway or Ralph's deli and they tried to mask it with fresh sauces. The veggies were steamed perfectly. Is it gourmet? absolutely not but it won't kill you or make you sick either.”

“Love this place! It’s a must for anyone in town who is gluten free. They have it all! Calamari, clam chowder, sandwiches... all gluten free and amazing!!! The cold slaw is the best. Helpful friendly staff, fun atmosphere and a definite favorite for my husband and I. Last time we were in town we brought non gluten free friends and they thoroughly enjoyed everything as well. Side note, the gluten free fish n chips needs a little work. But everything else we’ve tried is fantastic.”

“Really fresh food. The clam chowder was amazing and I make it myself from scratch so am picky. We also had short ribs which had a great marinade and was plated with a salad and rice and fresh berries on the side. A really nice environment and food that makes you want to come back. It is fun to have Asian dishes and American dishes on the menu. The chef came to our table to talk to us, couldn't have been nicer.”

“What a unexpected surprise! Not only was the food fantastic, but the atmosphere is so welcoming! I may be late to the party but people were here to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries and I can understand why. The atmosphere was one of celebration and enjoyment. As I said, the food was delicious and the wine pours were beyond the stinginess you typically receive at restaurants. I will definitely be returning! And you should visit! I only can only give so much praise, but try for yourself.”
