“Had a great Super Burrito here for an early lunch, while charging my Tesla down the street at the Supercharger. It was huge, came with some great salsa, and was less than $10.”

“Update 12/28 Invited another couple for a dinner and we had a great time. Started with bread, wine and cocktails. I ordered the Denver steak for the first time. It might be one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. The mushroom medley and veggie trio paired well along with the fries. The food is great and more options have joined the menu. Steakcraft served us up an incredible dinner. A full Wagyu ribeye was thoroughly enjoyed which was big enough to share for two adults and two kids. A side of brown butter cauliflower mash and roasted Trio of veggies went well with the steak. The two sets of duck fat fries and aiolis were eaten up quickly. Our Avocado Greens salad was fresh and delicious and a substitution on the cheese was easily accommodated, per my wife's liking. A lovely Malbec wine was recommended as was a cocktail (Rio De Janeiro). A delicious flourless chocolate cake came for dessert. The restaurant is nicely appointed and I could see a room in the back that is meant for private parties. The full bar is able to handle all drinks and there are espresso machines for cappuccinos and lattes. I saw lots of non-alcoholic drinks on the menu as well. It's a lovely place for special meal or business meeting. The noise level was quiet enough to have conversations around the table but lively enough to give you a sense of energy in the newly opened restaurant. It was only half full that night but people came and went regularly. The staff were nice and professional. The owners were very hands-on that evening and wanted to make sure they took care of us. I've enjoyed their breakfast/lunch eatery Breadsong for months, so their Steakcraft opening was exciting to partake in. I wish them the best!”

“We found this place by accident and we were so glad we stopped by. Restaurant is dog friendly and had a live band playing, very entertaining and lots of fun during our lunch. Drink and the food was pretty good, prices are a little steep but that’s expected. After lunch we walked down to the river where they had a chairs set up and enjoyed the trees and sound of the river flowing. Definitely recommend it.”

“California food process are rediculous, but I prefer Lucky to Safeway. Better layout, brighter looking, and a bit better selection.”

“We had a wonderful stay here to celebrate our anniversary. Staff was kind and helpful. The breakfast in our room each morning was awesome and so well done. We were escaping from our kids so it was nice to have a very relaxing place to stay where we could just take it easy. It's walkable to all the shops in Carmel and to the beach, very convenient! So charming and the courtyard is so quaint. We didn't have a chance to eat at the restaurant, but it looked awesome. Would absolutely stay again!”

“Delicious, all-vegan donuts! And for those naysayers, don't let "vegan" turn you off - these tasted just like regular creamy and custardy should, vegan or not. These are definitely over-the-top and indulgent, and well worth as a treat (perhaps better as dessert than breakfast). Plus, the staff was extremely fun and helpful. I wish I lived locally so I could enjoy these regularly. Despite their official open hours, go early for the best selection and to grab a few before they sell out.”

“Such a great place for sushi!! The food menu is short, but there are fantastic options! We ended up ordering the chicken gyoza, the seared salmon and the seared maguro roll. They were absolutely delicious! We had just enough room for the macadamia banana crepe mousse, which was amazingly light and tasty. The servers are pretty amazing, too 😁 Definitely worth the visit!”

“Visited this spot twice during my stay in Carmel, for good reason! It is 100% on the pricier side but for the fresh and tasty dessert you’re getting, it is very well worth it. They had different desserts and pastries on both my visits (and this was 2 days after each other, so that says a lot). The owner was very friendly as well, and this is a business I will happily come back to and share with others if I have the opportunity to do so. Highly recommend! Especially their pistachio cake, that was my absolute favourite.”

“We enjoyed our meal here. My husband said the curtsy was just like we could get in Japan, although a bit more of the sauce itself was needed. My daughter enjoyed the fried rice and I got a roll. I probably wouldn’t go back for the sushi alone as the flavor left something to be desired. I would go back to try other things on their menu though including the hibachi. The staff and server are incredibly kind and welcoming. There is also a wonderful panoramic view of the harbor and busy happenings down there. Overall, a very clean and welcoming place.”

“Kimberly is a very considerate server! Other than suggesting me to order the lighter “Fatlip Amber” instead of another more bitter “Dragon Slayer” local draft, she even took care of my friends’ two puppies by bringing a piece of Bacon for these 2 little cuties! Fish & Chips is indeed one of the best I’ve ever had here in US, and one secret I discovered is that if you order Cod sandwich, the fried cod inside the sandwich is the Fish from the Fish & Chip dish as well! Overall speaking, nice location, good food and great service! I tipped almost 30% just because of great service which made it really worthwhile!”

“A great quick dinner after a long roadtrip to Monterey. We had a sourdough bread bowl with clam chowder that hit the spot the first night we were in Monterey. Reasonably priced, too! On another day, we had shrimp sandwiches - there was too much bread and it was dry. Stick with the clam chowder at this place. It was really good. And the staff are awesome!”

“The food was good. First time having Lobster Ravioli, was good. Also tried Gnocchi in Pesto Sauce. Best Pesto ever tasted. Outdoor dining over looking the ocean.”

“First I'll say this, the food was pretty good. Tasty calamari for sure. Chicken pesto, Mixed fish grill all had good flavor. My son liked his crab mac n cheese. It's pricey but what isn't now a days. Friendly host and our server was a nice guy. Only 3 stars though, found metal in my kids meatball marinara. Maybe a cleaning bristle not sure but I'm glad it didn't poke her. Another thing was that the majority of the staff look like teens. A lot of swearing in their chats that we could clearly hear. They need to tone it down. Overall, I would go again without my kids.”

“The location and views are great, interior very nice! The wine list is decent and reasonably priced. Very surprised by the tiny wine glass. Didn't know any restaurants, or suppliers. still made a 4 oz glass :/ disappointing. Best bet is to buy a bottle. First we tried the Clam chowder which was good, not the best, about a 7 out of 10. Our entree orders were, stuffed salmon, grilled salmon & variety plate. The variety plate was good with breaded items covered with panko which kept everything crispy. The calamari was supposedly sliced calamari steak however was very chewy. All was on a bed of soggy shoestring french fries. Each enjoyed their salmon order with exception of fresh veges that had bell peppers. Menu pricing ranges from $8 to mid $30. Grilled salmon was $26.00 and was a good size. I didn't try the dessert, my wife is a tiramisu taster and stays it was excellent! Our friends said the same about the dense NY style cheesecake, excellent!”

“I had lunch here last Saturday. What a beautiful place! The food was great, the flamenco music and the interior design created a beautiful Spanish atmosphere. One of the owners came to say hi to me. Oh did I mention that bread was delicious?! I found this place kind of randomly, I didn’t fancy lining up in more popular places in Carmel, and I am very glad I came to Promesa. They are less known because they only opened the business this year. Excellent restaurant, I wish them a lot of success!”

“I was hesitant to go here since there was only one review but decided to give it a try and WOW - we're glad we did! This place likely doesn't have many reviews because it seems to be a place locals come and love. It really is a hidden gem (we had difficulty finding it as the sign outside said "Village Gem") and it's worth locating. Amir, our host, was so incredibly friendly and kind and everyone working there seemed to give their all. And the food was outstanding! The beet salad had so many layers of flavor built in and our mushroom ravioli was probably the best we've ever had. Everything tasted and looked like it was prepared by a seasoned professional executive chef. It was also really lovely to see all of the locals (maybe 10-12?) who gathered for a laid-back and warm-emitting dinner in the outdoor area (which was really nice!). We HIGHLY recommend this place - it actually couldn't have been better and we travel often and eat at higher-end establishments a few times a month. Thank you for a wonderful dinner!”

“Rooms are nice enough. Nothing extravagant but they are fine. Really appreciated the filtered water refill station. Staff was kind and rooms were clean. Complimentary coffee pods that they compost was a nice touch. Didn't get to take advantage of the pool or hot tub but it looked nice. Definitely would stay there again.”

“We’re in love with this place. You walk in and forget where you’re at. Every dinner is a mini vacation, and the food transport me to dinners I’ve had in far away places ❤️ Menu changes often but the new stuff never disappoints!!”
