Al Dente

Address: 4207 Park Blvd, San Diego, CA 92103, USA

Restaurant

“Came here for dinner as part of a group of 5 around 7:30 on a Thursday. It was not busy at all and was seated right away. There is seating inside and on the patio, but we took a table inside. We were provided water right away and given time to look over the drink and food menu. Our server also provided recommendations and some insight on the chefs and their food. The pasta is said to be freshly made. We ordered appetizers for the entire table to share. The Artichoke alla Romana, Frittura di Calamari, and Zucchini Blossoms where delicious. I ordered the Linguine Vongole, which had good flavor. My wife ordered the Tonnarelli Carbonara which she had parmesan cheese added, and it was delicious. My friend ordered the Pecorino wheel for the Pasta of the Day, which was finished at table-side. Having it finished table-side cooled it off some, so it wasn't as hot as the rest of the food. To drink most of us ordered one of their sangria, which I got a white sangria. The sangrias were a little on the weak side. To finish the meal, we got a Tiramasu fir the table to share. It was soft and great taste. The friendly service and atmosphere was great. There isn't a parking lot onsite, only street parking around the area. I would come back if I'm in the area wanting Italian.”

El Viejon Seafood

“Seafood tasted so fresh, like it was caught that morning. Oysters were shucked on the spot for oyster shooters. Loved the spices on the beer. Finger-licking good! The margaritas were perfect, not too sweet with lots of flavor. Will definitely be returning to try the rest of the menu!”

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar

Address: 4609 Convoy St STE F, San Diego, CA 92111, USA

Restaurant

“Wow! This was my first time here with some friends and wow what a fun experience! It is exactly as it sounds, sushi is constantly moving around the restaurant on conveyor belts! If the sushi you are looking is gone, then you can order it from the touch screen at your table and within a few minutes it's ready to be eaten! Water and non alcoholic drinks are delivered by a robot which was pretty cool! Kids really enjoy dropping the plates into the slot as well as getting a treat for every 15 plates deposited. There is an app to get on the wait-list but we were listed as 60+ minutes from about 330pm until about 500pm. We then walked over to the restaurant and they had a table right away. I would recommend checking in person about the wait time as the app may not be accurate. Well worth the wait!”

My favorite dishes here are the scallop, shrimp with chives, fried shrimp wrapped in wonton and fried crab claw puff. “Amazing food and amazing service. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very knowledgeable staff member that told us about the menu and their extensive list of daily specials. We split the lumpias (of course) in veggie and pork and I had the fire chicken noodles (the chefs original recipe) while my husband ate one of the specialty pork plate. All the plates came with a side of Mac salad and veggies. Last, we split an ube cheesecake with coconut whipped cream. Everything was rich and flavor, freshly made, and authentic. Would absolutely recommend.”

Saigon Vegan Bistro

Address: 1905 El Cajon Blvd Suite B, San Diego, CA 92104, USA

“It was our first time ordering from Saigon Vegan Bistro, we didn’t realize it was the ghost kitchen of Loving Hut. We love LH and now happy to have SVB as another option to add to our vegan food weekly rotations. We love the beef noodles and fried rice. You a taste the quality of food in every bite. I love the texture of the noodles. I’m really picky about my noodles and the chewiness of the ones here are superb! I’m salivating just thinking about them now. :)”

Domino's Pizza

Address: 1925 El Cajon Blvd, San Diego, CA 92104, USA

Meal delivery Meal takeaway Restaurant

“Nobody’s perfect but in my books, this location is pretty close. Recently picked up an order that was made wrong (missing some ingredients, others were added). When I returned to the store, they immediately wanted to know what happened, troubleshooted their own processes, and eventually remade the pizza to my liking. It’s difficult to complain when they’re trying their best.”

Loving Hut (North Park)

Restaurant

“Amazing food in a peaceful, home-y atmosphere. An incredible, delicious, and comfortable introduction to Vegan cuisine. Hannah the dedicated owner runs this location with her passion of introducing vegan dining and spreading awareness that food is not about the meat in a dish, but the satisfaction of the dish itself.”

Cookie Plug

Bakery Restaurant

“I love this place! Cookies are great and way more fun flavors than their competitors. The reviews saying they are too crunchy, you have to heat these up. And they are so good! Staff and owners are super friendly. Will be returning.”

Quixote

Address: 2223 El Cajon Blvd, San Diego, CA 92104, USA

Restaurant

“We arrived at Quixote for our reservation and where seated promptly. Our server was nice and made us feel welcomed. From the moment you enter the door you are transported to a old mission style church straight out of a diablo game. Very dark moody and ominous. Most of the place is candle lit and it just gives this very cozy dark vibe. The way it works here in terms of food is they have a couple of small dishes and the mains are big enough to share. We ordered the Scallop Aguachile , Squash Blossom, and the main we ordered the Crispy Lamb Belly. The Food was all Quality, Every Dish was in line with what we would expect from a well made dish. Flavors where on point and everything was delicious. The Lamb belly was the star of the show, we enjoyed every bite. My wife ordered A Mezcal Drink called a vibras which she enjoyed as well. Over all it was a great experience, and well you definitely pay a premium for the cool location and well done theming, we just felt that the overall cost was just a tab bit on the expensive side.”

Mama's Bakery & Deli

Address: 4237 Alabama St, San Diego, CA 92104, USA

Bakery Restaurant

“parked on the st a block away. 15min spot right in front. some st parking. dining is outdoor with fans and shade. order inside and wait for food outside. I got a Chicken shawarma wrap ($10) that tasted like boiled drychicken with tomatoes lettuce and pickles. I asked the lady if this was my correct order. She took it back and brought another one. it was much better, chicken wasn't tough and it was mixed with tahini and more flavorful and saucy. The wrap bread is fresh and tasty. I could come back for the 2nd tahini filled wrap. or just order something else The falafel plate comes with bread, salad, and hummus in a to-go box. it was all pretty good and came out to $15. I appreciate the friendly service and that they cared enough to fix my first wrap. Cold water provided outside is self service . utensils and salt also outside self service. but gotta ask for hot sauce. seating is nice outside and is open to public too. One small bathroom in the back.”

Bahia Mexican Restaurant

Address: 1985 El Cajon Blvd, San Diego, CA 92104, USA

Restaurant

“I have great experiences here, so I am sad to read the negative reviews. I’m here 2 to 3 times a week picking up something. I love that I can get food made to order as I like. They bend over backwards making sure that I’m happy with what I got. So anyone who is unhappy with what they got, they should just ask them to replace it. The owner is very willing to see her customers are content.”

Gnarly Girl Pizza

Address: 2302 El Cajon Blvd, San Diego, CA 92104, USA

“The garlic knot pizza is amazing, it reheats really well too. The inside is really fun and gives classic pizza shop vibes complete with arcade games. There's seating inside and outside. The staff are really nice and they have cool stickers. A great spot for a casual pizza date! It quickly became a favorite for us.”

“I eaten here and order take our a few times. Every time the service was good. Friendly employees. Good food. I definitely recommend this. It's good for a couple, group of friends or a family. They have lots of beers. Good selection. I like the sours. I've had the Cubano sandwich a few times and it's good always a good choice. The truffle fries are really good. The jalapeño poppers are good but sometimes the jalapeños are still raw. I've had the Crack wings which are pretty much their version of salt and pepper wings. They're salads looks good, I'm gonna try one next time for sure!”

This time we had the tallarin saltado and the sandwich de carne con chimichurri. They were so good! The service is always wonderful as well! Dylan was quick, courteous and so kind. Thanks for a wonderful experience!”

Bing Haus

Address: 4425 Convoy St #216, San Diego, CA 92111, USA

Restaurant

“Stopped in because our regular dessert place was out of what we wanted. I'm so glad we did! Henry was amazing! We had no clue what we wanted or what they even offered here and he was so patient with us! We asked about 15 questions, were still undecided, asked more questions.... Finally decided on green tea rolled ice cream even though we came in for something like Kakigōri. The flavor of the ice cream was perfect and with the mochi and strawberry the whole thing was delicious! You can customize just about anything here by adding or removing toppings which makes this place great for anyone even the picky ones. Next time we'll try the strawberry matcha latte and the Patbinsoo. I love the ambiance here, it's very relaxed. Do some studying, chat with friends, relax after work, or just sit and chill with a drink. They even have games if you want something more to do. It's not loud or overcrowded. They even have a cute outdoor seating area. Definitely stop in and give it a try!”

Ten seconds yunnan rice noodle

Address: 7905 Engineer Rd B, San Diego, CA 92111, USA

Restaurant

“I’ve been to Yunnan before and this place is a bit different than how it’s served in China. However, this is a good spot for noodle soup. My co-workers and I ordered different dishes to try. We were all impressed with our soup. My spicy fish soup got some kicks to it and it’s really good for the fall/winter months. I really liked the deep fried buns served with condensed milk. Great option for dessert. I’ll definitely come back.”

Ju-ichi

Address: 7905 Engineer Rd, San Diego, CA 92111, USA

Restaurant

“We’d like to try something else than ramen and chicken karagee in convoy area tonight, i checked here on google and decided to give it a shot and not regret at all. Unfortunately we had to eat karagee again :) because thats the only option for our 6 yrs old, don’t complain either cuz he eats chicken teriyaki. We arrived the restaurant around 8:15 it was half full at the time, has seated right away, we ordered 3 rolls and all was amazing, i have suprised how fresh and perfectly crafted the fish was, i could able chew it perfectly, they melt in your mouth. Combination of the rolls was great, it wasn’t overly riced. Chicken karagee also good, came hot and fresh, my son finished it with our help. Our waitress iseballa was very friendly. overall very good experience, restaurant start to packed after 30 minutes that we sat.”

Kumi Cafe

Address: 4380 Kearny Mesa Rd # 300, San Diego, CA 92111, USA

Restaurant

“Don’t let the cafe food you! This is a wonderful dinner spot. After hours in the car we found a gem in SD and are so happy we did! The kids meals were very large portions and the chicken soft and tender. The kids (3&4yrs old) loved it! My husband loved his udon tempura bowl and my spicy tuna roll and salmon hand roll were also great. They even have GF soy sauce to top it off. Friendly and helpful (and very quick) service.”
