“We used to go to Dinosaurs on Ocean, but now Banh Mi Love is our go to place. Great selection with friendlier service! The Garlicky Chicken sandwich and BBHD with dipping sauce are awesome! Wash it down with a passion fruit lemonade and YUM!”

“A cozy place near Stonestown for pretty good food. We order the focaccia with ricotta to start, the squash salad, steak, and gnocchi. The salad and steak were phenomenal and I would highly recommend. The focaccia was disappointing in taste and texture and the gnocchi felt too soggy for a pasta dish. The service was amazing and I’d definitely come back to try some of their other dishes but hope that their pasta texture improves.”

“Excellent Thai food with all the basics and specialties. Had a lovely lunch special of yellow curry with chicken rice plate. The curry was so delicious I scooped my rice into the curry pot instead of spooning the curry over the rice, because I didn't want to lose a drop of the yummy sauce. Mangoes and sticky rice for dessert, more yum.”

“So many good things to say, Where do I even start? I had just walked 25000 steps with a 20lb camera bag, and I still had trouble finishing my shrimp Pad Thai, the portion was so generous. The Penang curry special with Tofu was spiced so nice, and had the famous lemongrass aromatic aesthetic that comes with the dish. Not to mention, if the curry was plentiful, they offered more rice so you can have it all! I also appreciate the hot sauce options, starting with Sriracha, jalapeños in vinegar, Thai chili in vinegar and pureed chili. I tried them all, they're really good if you can handle spice. We wanted to compliment the chef, and the store owners mom came out to greet us and thank us back. So friendly, so good, and the ambience is so relaxed you'll be in a better mood Highly highly recommended.”

“OVERALL: 5/5 Food/Drinks: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 It was SF’s summer in October and we wanted to enjoy the SF weather. I have enjoyed their SOMA location (loved it) so thought we should try this new location also. Love it too!! We had - Cauliflower Salad - Potato Pinsa (could not find it on the menu so I hope I did not imagine it) Both were delicious. We will be back to this neighborhood place. 10-4-2023 - Dinner for 2”

“Really enjoyed the focaccia pizza!! I could tell the ingredients were high quality & appreciate that they are locally sourced. One slide of pizza was big enough to share between 2 people as a snack. Great casual place to take family/friends visiting SF”

“Finally got to try Nippon Curry in the Marina. I got the chicken katsu curry with their vegetarian roux. I’m so glad that is an option because I don’t eat beef. And I’m happy to report that the veggie version is pretty good! It still has deep flavors that I expect from a Japanese curry. And it was a peppery, which was a surprise to me. I liked the spice and I didn’t think it was overwhelming. The chicken was perfectly crisp and the pickles gave the dish the acidity it needed. It is optional, but I recommend getting them. I love Japanese curry and I’m glad the city has another option on where to get some.”

“We had an exceptional experience at this restaurant from start to finish. The ambience is beautifully designed, with excellent sound isolation. The server's knowledge of the menu was impressive, and the timing of each course was perfect. The wine selection was noteworthy, and the server ensured our undisturbed enjoyment. The prices are reasonable for the quality and the neighborhood. The delicious food made it a perfect outing for me and my family. We look forward to coming back for another delightful experience.”

“The 1st time I tried Bonita was at Polk Street. After I realized Castro has one, I was so happy because this is the best location for me. I took Muni here. & It's totally fine to dine alone here, you don't feel alone at all. Free wifi. Great Mexican music. Awesome vibe. Awesome service. Tasty food you feel like dine in a good restaurant. And the best part is-- street food price. Love it . Not break the bank. The CP ratio is super high & Can I mention free wifi again, the password is near the counter. That I post my review & photos at the store.”

“Have a had mixed experiences at Flippin Burger but my most recent was my best. The burger was tasty, plenty of add-ons to choose from, and a hefty amount of fries. Would recommend the garlic fries and adding some bacon, egg, & avocado to a burger.”

“The tacos are actually good, but it’s not a Mexican owned business. The staff was super friendly and got our order out quick. The space is nice and chill to enjoy your tacos outdoors and people watch. We ordered the steak and chicken super tacos and they were surprisingly good. I would go back if I had a craving, but it wouldn’t be on the top of my list.”

“Hands down one of the best Curry Noodle Soups I've had in the U.S. The meat was very tender, the wonton ball added a nice texture (once dunked in the soup) and acted as a nice vehicle to soak up the flavor of the broth. The noodles (not sure if they were egg or wheat) had a nice chewy texture. Also, the pickled veggies added a nice sour kick to compliment the coconut forward Curry Broth that's found in a lot of good soups in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. For me, once I added some of the Sambal and Vinegared Jalapenos, it deepened the flavor and was good to the last drop.”

“Everything about this restaurant is much better than I expected, the food was amazing, CJ is great, and the overall atmosphere was perfect. I had the "El Chingon" (Super Burrito) for dine in, and it was amazing, super delicious and very filling. I took a Torta to go and that was still very delicious even after being microwaved. Highly recommend bring friends and family for a meal here.”

“Hulu Wa is located in an unassuming location behind a gas station, but it’s worth leaving the main road to try their food. I had the sesame beef lunch special that included a hot and sour soup. Both items were flavorful and the beef had a perfect crisp. So good! The waiter was also very nice, attentive with checking in at a decent pace and refilling my water. I’d like to go back sometime to try their other items 😊”

“I've been here 4 times now, and it never disappoints. Everything is delicious. Everything! I ate here last night for a birthday, and yes, it was warm with no airflow inside, but we still enjoyed ourselves. The ambiance is cozy and speakeasy feel. Everyone is always so kind and helpful.”

“TLDR: croissants were decent but not amazing, service was friendly and atmosphere is lovely We got the cheese and prosciutto but they mean it in literal Italian meaning just ham, not the smoked meat that most in US think prosciutto to be. The raspberry pistachio needed a bit more filling of raspberry in the middle, the croissant wasn’t flaky enough for my liking.”

“Was hesitant to try the very well reviewed $17 OMG sandwich due to its exorbitant price. But it is aptly named, OMG I spent $17($21+with tip) on this sandwich. This is roughly six inches with very sparse amount of meat or ingredients listed on the menu. The bread is pretty good but not anything to rave about. This is half a sandwich not a full sandwich.”

“Came with a fairly large group on a Friday night. The place is clean, inviting, and the food was fresh. We had Five Spice Chicken Pho, Beef Pho, Lemongrass Beef with Garlic noodle, chicken with garlic noodles, pork belly Bahn Mi, Calamari, and a bunch of other things. Needless to say we pretty much covered most of it. I wanted to try the Bun Rieu but I was afraid of being disappointed since we eat at many Viet places from SF, East Bay, and San Jose. If you like Ben Tre, Gao Viet, Pho Hanoi, Pho Nguyen, and others like it, you might find the food is not what you're used to. The place is cute, the people are really nice and the food is ok. That being said you won't have a bad meal here. Sometimes the plain authentic dishes are not to other's liking and they prefer an alternative version, that's ok too. Three stars for the food based on what they're serving, not compared to the popular Vietnamese places.”

“One of the many dumpling spots in the city, one of the few that manage to stay consistent. Been here a few times now, love the har gow, and various steamed dumplings. Surprisingly good veggie dumplings and veggie mapo tofu too. The Shanghai style fried pork buns are a must try ( don't forget to add their in-house chilli oil on it). Sichuan fried chicken is the only dish I wouldn't write home about.”

“Great place for pizza at 2am! I have so much appreciation for a pizza place that sells by the slice at night! That said, the pizza was affordable, fresh, and very tasty. I thought the red sauce was especially flavorful. It might not have been the best pizza of my life, but it was really, really good. Service was fast, pretty nice, and good at handling drunk customers. If I lived nearby I would be a frequent customer :)”

“Best Italian spot in Marina. The Nor-String-Ya pizza is the best thing on the menu. We added arugula on top and it was perfect. Their Corn Caramelle is melt in your mouth and a great appetizer. Highly recommend booking a table in advance! The service was great and waiters were friendly, even on a busy Friday night. Will be coming back!”

“I came here with some friends this past week based on some recommendations. We were seated outside at night and enjoyed a nice evening of people watching. The food was average. I ordered an unimpressive cucumber and tomato salad that was $14. The tomatoes were the generic super market tomatoes you get at any regular market: tasteless and hard. Same with the cucumbers. My friends ordered a pizza was was much better than the salad. The dough is phenomenal and the taste was sooo good. There are no bread or rolls offered with the dinner which threw me off a bit. The ambiance is nice, and the employees are attentive. There’s a variety of latino employees in the kitchen. The server we had was European. I hope the owners treat all the employees well. If you come here get the pizza, skip the salads, and maybe bring some rolls in your bag in case you get hungry.”

“Absolutely love this place! The staff is so welcoming and friendly. They make sure you get the perfect dumplings filled with the soup. Even the simplest items like the fried rice is sooo flavorful and comforting. I love this place and highly recommend!”
