“According to the menu, all breakfast plates come with a choice of house potatoes, hash browns or grits. The 2-2-2 deal, which is under the same breakfast plate category, apparently didn't come with those choices, but you aren't told that until you order. There is an upcharge for just about everything. The make your own only is $7 and then an additional $1 for each topping you add. My sister's eggs were cold. Her boyfriend ordered biscuits and gravy, but didn't get enough gravy. He asked for more gravy and then was told they were out. The crab Benedict was good. The waitress was really nice and some of the food was good, but there are so many other breakfast places in the area with better for, service, and atmosphere that don't nickle and dime you. Oh, and the 2-2-2 deal doesn't come with toast either, so my husband ordered an extra side of toast, which he didn't receive. The $2 charge for it was on our check though. They removed it promptly.”

“I stopped in for breakfast and had the Ultimate Platter. It has pancakes, a muffin, eggs and potato rounds and a coffee or soft drink. With some maple syrup, I enjoyed the meal. The food was good, the staff was pleasant and the restaurant was clean. The pricing on the display was not the same as the register, so I asked the gentlemen taking my order to let the manager know so they don't misrepresent the cost. “Firehouse on Bee Ridge has definitely improved a lot since the last time I went. The best addition however is Gretchen, the lady who greets people as they walk in! She's very pleasant and is a breath of fresh air for the location! The employees seem a lot happier and it shows with her around! I went in to pick up an online order, in front of me was a father of four, with his kids and I observed Gretchen doing a wonderful job of greeting them! She should be commended on how amiable and friendly she is. Believe me when I say, she's exactly what the location needed. The food is pretty good too, I'm happy that my online orders are ready on time now. The last two I got, were made to order. The sandwiches were made correctly and I didn't have to wait at all. Anyway, Gretchen, keep up the good work!!”

“We’re from out of town and wanted decent TexMex cuisine. Googled this place and read reviews and looked good. Walked in an hour before closing, immediately greeted and told to sit where we liked. Good menu selection, kids and adults ordered favorites. Food was at the table in about 10 minutes and good portion size. Very attentive server, he came by our table no less than 5 times to refill drinks and make sure we were good. Very happy with this place and recommend highly.”

“Located in a 7-11 gas station, so it was super convenient to order food and buy cheaper drinks in 7-11. Great customer service, super friendly. We had a large breakfast order and the wait was normal, maybe 5-7 minutes, with 3 people ahead of us, and 2 people ordering after us. The fact that the girl still apologized for our wait when we picked up our food. Bacon could have been cooked a bit more, but that's a common problem, and personal preference. Very tasty otherwise!”
