Coffee is freshly brewed every few hours or so and placed in a help yourself area. The bakery has delicious muffins, sconces, brownies & cookies... but.... the bread is the "very best part" of coming here. Large loaves of freshly baked bread displayed in many varieties. Come in early to get your favorites as they sell quickly. I also like the comfy leather chairs they provide to sit, chat or read the newspaper... PANERA'S BREAD is one of my favorite stops.”

“I was traveling for work and looking for a good coffee shop to settle at before a meeting. When I first saw that this was connected to the Metra station, I almost left because I was worried it wouldn't be a good spot to hang out at. Quite the contrary! First off, a very welcoming atmosphere. I met the roaster and we had a great chat about coffee. Second, great coffee and great breakfast sandwiches, even for a vegetarian. The arugula was a very nice touch. A lot of the ingredients for the food came from local sources. You might have to be flexible with the arrival of your food, as the train was leaving soon after I arrived, so there was an in rush of people needing coffee quickly. Just be aware of this, but everything was worth the short wait. I left for my meeting, which ended up being cancelled. However, I couldn't resist going back to buy some coffee beans from the roaster to ensure I could get more of that great coffee at home!”

“Very nice interior after the remodeling, the counter staff try to get you served and taken care of a soon as possible. Needless to say, being on Lake Cook Rd. the drive-thru can get very busy at peak times, even though its not a direct in-and-out to the street. There is not a ton of direct parking, but probably plenty for the amount of indoor diners. The donuts are always fresh and coffee has not been sitting around for too long. There is a reason you will typically find a line here on weekday / weekend mornings, they have it figured out.”
