“A favorite spot for breakfast since they opened. The decor is cheerful and chic and features local artists' work. Service is fast and they always greet you with a smile. Fantastic coffee. Creamiest grits I've ever had. If you don't like grits, try them. If you like grits, try them. They are rich and smooth and comforting and everything that's right with the world. I ordered the Baja omelet and it was wonderful, as always. The flavors in black beans complement the ranchero sauce nicely. My friend ordered the kitchen sink grits and now I have a new favorite dish. Dad ordered the mushroom omelet with a side of biscuit and gravy. It was nice. The table shared the lemon blueberry muffins we enjoyed them immensely. They were out of their morning glory muffins, which made me sad because they are amazeballs. If they have them, grab one.”

“How has Carrollton Market not hit my radar before today? We will second the previous reviews that said its one of the best meal experiences we’ve had amongst many good ones in the city. The special Brunch cocktails were quite creative and expertly prepared, and all our food was terrific. I had the Debris Biscuits after debating the Corned Beef Hash, and was very happy with my choice. The biscuits being made out of cornbread really made the dish and the poached eggs were cooked perfectly. Delicious. Girlfriend had the Poutine and again, absolutely fantastic. Add in the great service and a stylish space full of super pleasant staff and it has us ready to return as soon as possible.”

“If you're looking for great Chinese food at a reasonable price you'll love this place. Some friends and I ate here today and love it. I read all the reviews and I'm pleased to say IT'S ALL TRUE!!! We had Susan as our server and she exuded excellent service. Her drinks were made to perfection and served along with a perfect smile. The food was perfect and we can't repeat that enough. The location true is in a strip mall, but it's a very nice and comfy place. Here are some pics of the food we ordered and I hope this review sends more natives or visitors to this location. 1. General Tso's Chicken with shrimp fried rice and egg roll... 2. Seafood Hot Pot... 3. Grilled Shrimp...”

“Hands down my favorite part of my New Orleans trip. The food was fantastic. I had the bannana Foster's French toast and my friends got the pulled pork eggs Benedict and all of it was just simply amazing. The fresh fruit juices were actually fresh, and not too sweet or too tart. The best part however was the fantastic service. We felt like we were invited into their home and we got great local recommendations. Can't recommend them enough!”

“One of my favorite quick serve places in town. Staff are some of the friendliest people you'll ever meet. I'm fairly stuck in my ways, and usually only get the, Shrimply the Best, sandwich. Would definitely recommend if you like shrimp. Bringing friends and family who order other items, they have never been disappointed. They also have very good milkshakes!”

“A New Orleans landmark, Plum Street is the place to be when needing a snowball. Their wide variety of flavors (including cream flavors and chocolate) make it a must on hot summer days/nights. A couple tips from a local: know what you want before order (it’s a small space and not much time for pondering), have cash because that’s all they take, and be nice or leave. Enjoy your snowball and don’t forget to come back multiple times.”

“This place was great. The atmosphere is welcoming. I also met the owner who's the cook. I could tell that he's passionate about what he does. Had the lamb, Brussels, garlic soup, diablo shrimp, and the chorizo. The food was great.”

“Please visit this place. Food is great, hot and made from scratch. Owners are very hospitable. Pico de Gallo is made from scratch and is to die for. Salsa and chips is another thing I can't live without. I love it so much we take some home after each visit. We have been here 3 times in a month. We found this place by accident. And what a great accident it was. We are now frequent patrons. Please go and see for yourself you will not be disappointed.”

“Great energy in the restaurant and fantastic food. Had an incredible soft shell crab that I had been anticipating for weeks. It did not disappoint. Service is was good, too. Will return. One small negative - my duck was a little overcooked but was still a tasty dish.”

“Delicious entrees and a very engaging, friendly owner. Thanks for a great dinner Darren! A fifth star is a slam dunk with table service for dinner instead of ordering at the counter.”

“The best Tacos I've ever had. So glad I found this as all other NOLA Mexican food has been baaaad(as someone who lived in Texas). The tacos were only $6 for three and the shell alone is worth it, it is warm soft and melts in your mouth. Everything is incredibly fresh and overwhelmingly delicious!!”

“They had what I wanted but the rest of my party kept incurring "we're out of that". Food was satisfactory although the bun/vermicelli was not the same as encountered elsewhere. I feel a substitution was given without explanation or offer to choose an unsubstituted dish. Thai tea was small for price and inelegantly presented.”

“It doesn't look like much from the outside. Don't be fooled. The food is great! I had the smoked seasoned wings and they were delicious. Crispy but not greasy. My hubby got the brisket and pimento cheese poboy, so gooey good. Unfortunately we are going to miss out today on the pig picking party, but there's always next Sunday! They slow roast a whole pig every Sunday. Definitely coming back. The food was great and so was the service, thanks Milton????”

“We love unexpected places with great food. Cowbell fit this perfectly. Looks like a hole-in-the-wall outside, but great inside. We did a crawfish Mac and cheese appetizer that was unbelievable. Burger perfectly cooked and the waitress convinced me that I needed some cool toppings that were great. Happy Hour drinks were excellent - had a “real” Margarita.”

“Delicious food with great portions.. Very nice staff. Our waitress was wonderful. We had the Chicken Shawarma and Combo Kabobs. Will definitely be going back soon.”

“Very impressed! My husband & I ordered take-out (chicken green curry & shrimp Pad Thai). The food was ready within 15 minutes, but still warm by the time we picked it up & finally returned home. Food still warm 45 minutes after being prepared? That’s remarkable! The food was also packaged in a way that made it difficult to spill *during transport* but easy to eat. The two lunch-sized portions we shared were sufficient for both of us. We would definitely order from Thai Mint again. Thank you for the delicious experience!”

“Wasn't even looking for a dinner place, went for an evening stroll and stumbled upon this gem of a neighborhood restaurant, dollar taco tuesday, I assume a full bar, margarita specials regularly, what more could you want! Dinner for two with generous portions will cost you around $30... more if you opt for alcohol... well worth it, and can't wait to go back for taco Tuesday!!!”

“While better than it's previous incarnation, it's not the best Japanese food around. That being said, it is damn solid with it's ramen choices and appetizers. If Karaoke is your thing, they also got you to with public options some nights and private rooms for rent!”

“I love truburger! Great burger and great prices. They give huge portions of french fries, the small is usually enough to split with two people. Milkshakes are also great.”

“Service was attentive and courteous, not intrusive. The place is small and cozy. The brisket was excellent. It had a slight BBQ hint. The fries were really good. My wife had the skirt steak, very tender and flavorful. The bread pudding was the memorable closing act. It is best I've ever had.”

“Today was my first visit to this location. I ordered a footlong Italian BMT. Great customer service! The employees are awesome! They smile! They listen & pay attention to the customer. My sandwich was made perfectly! The chocolate chip cookies were fresh & soft. Keep up the great work! Thanks!”

“This unassuming little spot has definitely earned its reputation! Good coffee, nice specials, consistent food, and fantastic local artwork with occasional live music come together for a perfect brunch experience. If you've never had them, the grits here are some of the best in the city! Check out the postcards and greeting cards from local artists too!”

“This is hands down the best biscuit/ breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. And I’m not a vegan. It’s been almost a year my boyfriend and I went and we still talk about how good it is almost every week. I cannot describe how good they are with my limited vocabulary so you’ll just have to go try for yourself. I highly recommend the pumpkin biscuit sandwich and any of the brioche. You won’t regret it”

“If you want a place that takes the heart of southern creole comfort, and puts it in the body of a modern dish you’ve come to the right place. The drinks were fantastic, appetizers adventurous, and the entrees delicious and not too filling. The picture shows 4 desserts along with my blackened redfish entree. All of which were unique and superb in their own way. Hospitality and service was top notch and we got a chance to talk to the chef about the history behind the food and the special ways he prepares them.”

“My favorite local watering hole, even after I moved to Metairie. Currently they have tacos on Thursday and Friday, Usually have food served for Football games, and sometimes even just have food out for special occasions/holidays. The bartenders are all great, well unless you're rude obviously. The owners are great people and are often there and even cook the food! The crowd is diverse and colorful at times with people of all legal drinking ages.”
