“Wonderful service and my red beans were perfectly seasoned/flavored! Great prices too. My boiled shrimp was ok but some ended up being too mushy (then again I did pick up my food about an hour before closing) and I expected them to be seasoned. Watch the hours because they aren't necessarily the same on here. I'll definitely go back to try more items!”

“Hands down, some of the best Vietnamese food I've ever had. Even when you get it to go, it travels well (not always the case with pho and other noodles dishes). Their service and staff are excellent. If I had one complaint, it would be that their cocktails are a little too sweet, but that could just be my taste! Nothing wrong with the cocktail at all.”

“Very good fried chicken! One of my favorite spots for fried chicken in NOLA. The staff were all extremely nice and I also really liked the BBQ shrimp appetizer.”

“If anyone knows me they know I love this sandwich shop. It reminds me of growing up when I would go to my favorite neighborhood sandwich shops around the New Orleans area. The Surf-N-Turf should be illegal it's so good. Also the shrimp poboy and roast beef are just as great as stand alone sandwiches. Every time I come back home this is the second place I go after I drop off my luggage :D. I hope they will be around for the next 300 years at least.”

“They were amazing... We had a large group of 40 - 50 people and they accommodate with no problems (CALL IN ADVANCE). I did try the lamb, seasoned well. Shrimp and grits were different, tasty. The sauce gave it the extra flavor needed. I am giving 5 stars due to the professionalism, the hostesses, waiters, bartenders, cooks and managers did a excellent job...”

“This inn is incredible! I’ve stayed in New Orleans more times than I can count, and I will ALWAYS check for availability here first. The location is great! It is super easy to hop on public transport (street car), or you even have a lot of options within walking distance. The food was delicious and really gives you a good taste of New Orleans! The people were hospitable and genuine! Rosa and Monica definitely made sure everything was taken care of. I can’t wait to stay here again!”

“Was a very decent brunch with some NOLA favorites. Friendly staff and comfortable seating. We got the roast beef sandwich, Cuban sandwich and the Benedict. Their potatoes were great and their pancakes were pretty decent. Coffee was also only just ok.”

“Recommended at our hotel and it was so great! Small place, but great food for a good price. I got the shrimp and grits and they were PHENOMENAL! Wait staff was great and patient with tourists. Would definitely return again. Also--mimosas were great and only $6!”

“Don't let the higher than average prices scare you. You will get delicious food great service and definitely feel like you're in a New Orleans local restaurant. We had the chicken shrimp and okra gumbo which was the best I've had at any local restaurant here. Not spicy hot just well spiced. The only thing they didn't serve it with French bread on the side, just some bun that was possible. Also, we had the fried catfish with the spaghetti and red gravy as a side and it was excellent. It's definitely worth coming out of the French Quarter and out of your way to get really good, local authentic food. Can't wait to come back. Oh and Gents, check out the men's room and be thrown back into the past. Don't step in the ice!”

“Cozy establishment with amazing food and service. I have never had a bad experience at Katie's. Regardless of what I've ordered, it has always been delicious! Pizza, Fish Noel, Chicken Breast, everything... Is simply delicious! The adult beverages are great also. Not to mention, the service is always amazing!!!!”

“What the restaurant lacks in updated decor, they make up in the QUALITY of their food! While waiting by the entrance and old vintage bar, scores of seafood platters were being distributed to customers. What's impressive was that there was no fishy aroma in the air. Their seafood is superbly & exquisitely fresh! Everything from catfish, seafood gumbo, tail less breaded fried shrimp, oysters, seafood sampler platter enough for two to share, etc...is worth the wait. They also make great succulent steaks and sandwiches (Po Boy). They do not have an assortment of desserts but keep it very simple like their bread pudding. This place should not be overlooked but should be visited at least once if in town! They've established this restaurant in 1939 and it's still going strong! It can get very busy and wait times can vary from 15 to 45 min during the week; imagine the weekends! Bon appetit!”

“Had an amazing meal! Everyone there was super friendly and even though I have some dietary restrictions, there were many options I could have had. I went with the build your own sandwich option. My friend had the jambalaya and biscuit. Very flavorful and worth the very reasonable price. Cute place too. Fun pictures and atmosphere. Emily at the counter was super helpful and friendly. I DEFINITELY recommend this place.”

“Let me just say the hostess was the best! She was very helpful when I called in with questions. She greeted us warmly and did a great job checking in while we waited on our server. She even followed up after the meal to see how everything went. The food was good. Pictured below is the chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, and duck enchiladas. I had the shrimp and grits. They were tasty, but not necessarily the best I had. The biscuit that came with it was amazing! If the wait wasn't so long from being seated to actually getting our food, I would have given 5 stars.”

“Eclectic diner tucked away in vibrant neighborhood in NOLA. Serves a comfortable twist on Cajun foods and breakfast/brunch type items. Arthouse feel. Neighborhood is gorgeous and encompasses the feeling of New Orleans. It is lined with small businesses, street art, parks, tended shotgun style homes. It is a place to see. Wonderful.”

“The vegan cheese steaks are amazing! I'm a vegetarian leaning vegan, but cheese is normally my weakness. I ordered the Vegan Far East with a side of fries and the vegan chocolate cheesecake. All of it was delicious! No flavor compromises over dairy lost. I will definitely be eating here again next time I visit Nola.”

“Great service and ambience. An old church with a thick yellow atmosphere inside due to the stained glass windows - I found it lovely to have brunch in. The servers were prompt and very nice, we even got a free dessert because our food was served 5 minutes later than they thought was appropriate. Unfortunately, the food was lackluster. The Brussels sprouts were fried to perfection, but had absolutely no flavor apart from their natural green. The eggs Benedict were plated beautifully, but packed absolutely no punch. Some exceptions that tasted great: the Mexican street corn, the blueberry waffle”

“We were craving gluten free pizza and Theo's came up highly rated. We were not disappointed. We ordered small meathead and a small Bacon & blue cheese with tomato. OMG, they were both outstanding and the crust was perfectly crisp and thin. While not inexpensive, Theo's does pizza right.”

“I recently revisited Rosedale for the fourth or fifth time, my girlfriend has been several times without me. I keep going back because each visit is a unique dining adventure and I enjoy bringing friends for the experience. Not to mention how much I enjoy the food. And their cheesecake rocks. Susan and Sarah have created a wonderful dining experience in a cozy, comfortable atmosphere while satisfying ones culinary curiosity and sense of adventure. Find this hidden gem.”

“The food was really tasty and the service was quick. I love the outside seating especially when it's a nice pretty day. The prices of the food can be steep depending on what you order for example this plate was $20 after tax because I added a fountain drink but it was still pretty good. I would definitely go back esp for Happy Hour”

“I adored the ambiance of this place. I would’ve never thought this Italian jewel would be in New Orleans; but it is. A friend of mine referred me and I’m so glad he did. The food is authentic Italian, the practices and service is also authentic Italian! I felt like I was in Italy again. The food was incomparable! Everything was good! The wine, the eggplant, the cheese sticks down to the delectable entrees! The lines can extend outside the door though depending on when you go. I love this place. Can’t wait to revisit!”

“It was great. The cornbread was a bit dry. The dirty rice was a bit wet, but had a great taste. The sausage was really nice. I think the staff needs more Black people. You're in a 60% black city. Your staff should reflect the same.”
