“Great local beer. Their brown was so different and tasted great. Great locals, bartenders and owners who all showed us a great time when we were there. The owner even gave us a tour which made my girlfriends day.”

“Subway was extremely neat and clean. I was particularly impressed by the house tea machine with three flavors. The staff was alright, with the exception one cashier whom one could tell is seasoned and a tid bit bossy. She was a bit dramatic with the young man who was behind me. He and I spoke about it briefly also. This Subway is one that has the higher prices but tiny portion sizes. I ordered the tuna. The scooper that was used was about a tablespoon and a half. That isn't good. Will I return. Maybe, but not for the tuna.”

“This place has some of the freshest crawfish I've had. When they recommended we try the award winning fried catfish, you don't hesitate. Fluffy and delicate with just the right amount of spice.”

“Tastes like a classic. The seating fills up fast so come during off hours if possible. The service is friendly and fast so it's not a big problem. Try the fried shrimp poboy for the best taste possible. The beer selection is pretty good too for washing down the the sandwich.”

“Not a fancy place at all. It's a very small neighborhood restaurant serving fresh reasonably priced food. It appears to be family ran, which caters to the staff at the nearby hospital.”

“Fresh, tasty wraps and delicious soups. My favorites are the caesar and thai. The dressings are very tasty. I used to get the soups when they only sold soup at a warehouse in Metairie. So happy they have a cafe now! Their mango smoothie is good. Looks like they just added sandwiches. Will be trying those soon!”

“This place was bustling and full when we walked in after 2pm. The lovely young lady at the front kindly informed us that it could be a 20+ minute wait for food. It smelled great so we stayed. Had a shrimp boy which was good. Highlight was the red beans and rice which was the Monday special of the day. Got the last order and were lucky to do so. Perfect mix of creamy and whole beans with a little zip and a couple kinds of sausage.”

“We loved the food over here. Liked the Non vegetarian dishes more as compared to vegetarian dishes. The angeeras were little bit sour than expected. You have to do parallel parking over the street as the parking space is small. Make sure to Order fish fry. Its delicious.”

“Great spot off the beaten path. Very well hidden gem in Uptown. Definitely feels like a family run establishment that cares. Counter service yet hospitable, the menu and kitchen are small, yet the flavor is grand and hard to find elsewhere in New Orleans. We had the pork egg rolls as well as the pork belly bang mi and the pork belly steamed bao buns, everything is as amazing!”

“We stayed at the Best Western next to superior grill, it was a very convenient short walk to the corner. The food is very good! We had the fajitas and they were perfect. We had the cutest most helpful server, named CC. She was very sweet and gave us lots of suggestions on places we could go while exploring New Orleans. 100% recommend!! Ask for CC! She was the best!”

“This is no frills steak house with excellent steaks and attentive service. We had 10oz fillet and 18 oz ribeye. Both cooked to perfection on a sizzling plate. If you don’t need to impress anyone but want to enjoy reasonably priced top steaks this place is it. Definitely going back here next visit to big easy. Thanks for a great meal.”

“The BBQ Shrimp sandwich at Pascal's Manale is one of my favorite meals ever! Has a fairly strong pepper flavor, the French Bread is perfect! Would be my last meal if I got to choose. Turtle soup here is excellent too!! Famous for BBQ Shrimp, fixture in New Orleans since 1913, old school, great place to try if you want a local's experience.”

“This is a great addition to the neighborhood. Service was fantastic. The space bright, eclectic, and inviting. Street parking can be tricky due to the hospital but a few minutes rounding the blocks yielding a close spot. The same delicious food as the Uptown location made its way to this spot. I especially love the hashbrown bowl with avocado!”

“No MSG! I absolutely love their shrimp Lo mein noodles. It works well with my pescatarian lifestyle. I usually ask for extra onions and shrimp. It’s walking distance from Touro and they offer free delivery to the hospital entrance on Prytania if you order at least $12. I’ve also had their steamed crab rolls. You definitely can’t go wrong by eating here.”

“Phenomenal restaurant. Would give it more stars if I could. Pate is the best in NOLA. Mussels are sublime. Order extra bread or fries to soak up the goodness at the bottom of the bowl. Crepe Bourguignon is the best I've tasted in the states. Outstanding service. Just a fantastic dining experience.”

“Super cute cheese and sandwich store. We ordered the roast beef, hook cheddar, and arugula salad. They were amazing! Plus you need to try the miti blue cheese. It's a blue cheese made from goat cheese, and it is soft, creamy, and amazing!”

“We had a pleasant time at Baru Bistro & Tapas. We were on a Monday and it was not busy at all. I'm Mexican and this was the best margarita I have ever had. Anywhere. We had one of every Happy Hour menu item and it was all delicious. It is a small place, intimate, great for conversation. It's off the street, but not what I'd call accessible, neither was the restroom. Definitely check this place out if you have no limitations.”

“Great shareable dishes in an incredible venue. The wait staff was top notch- as good as I've seen. Only criticism was a chewy oily artichoke dish, everything was excellent quality”

“Amazing place! It was on my list of restaurants to try for a while since I live close by but just never got around to it. Went Monday night after a rough day and it completely changed my day. Super great food and service. Mario was my server and he was so nice and brought me wine samples when I couldn’t decide (so nice!) highly recommend the squid ink ceviche but you really can’t go wrong here.”
