“You can’t beat lunch from Milk and Honey! The online ordering is a great feature and makes for efficient pick up. Great sandwiches and pastries. Every ingredient is thoughtfully chosen and delicious!”

“Perfectly done steamers and soft shelled lobster and corn on the cob. Butter was hot, corn was fresh, clams and lobster were neither overdone or underdone. The restaurant is hung with great art from local artists, cool outdoor heaters, comfortable raised tables and stools in the bar area and very pleasant and quick service and drink refills. have eaten there 4 or 5 times in the last couple of months - always with the same superb results. Have also done the same meal as take-out for large and small groups and it, again, was perfectly cooked and packaged. HUGE addition to NEH!”

“Stopped by for a drink and a bite. Everything on the menu looked amazing and there was a great selection of wines and beers, and some great looking cocktails. We were served by pleasant and efficient waitstaff. We were served warm bread with our drinks and it was delicious. We’ll be back to try the food someday soon!”

“The girl who made my sandwich, I learned, was the manager of the place. She was fantastic, a really great person, and suggested lots of things to do locally. Plus, she made a mean sub. There's lots of other food options in this convenience store, too, the pizza looked good.”

“Once again, dinner here was perfection. We came wanting fresh seafood and left having had freshly smoked salmon, perfectly cooked mussels, and skewered halibut over a sauce of tiny toasted pasta in a broth with chorizo. Allison and her staff are constantly working to come up with the best, the freshest, the most delicious food. Add a friendly and efficient staff and a bartender par excellence--and you have The Burning Tree, our go-to in the Bar Harbor area. There's nothing better here.”

“Burger and fries very good, free burger for my dog. Salad with grilled chicken okay. French onion soup good. Service good. Food served quickly. Not crowded like a lot of Bar Harbor restaurants appear to be. Reasonable prices and nice atmosphere.”

“Cute little bakery walking distance to Deal Harbor. Probably the best breakfast we had on out trip! Blueberry Monte Cristo!”

“Adorable place to eat. We had great food and good service. They won’t seat incomplete parties (understood), and parking was crazy for us. Recommend to go early to avoid the wait. Popovers are a MUST. Shepherd’s Pie was amazing.”

“My wife and I have gone to the tan turtle a few times, and we've mainly had really positive experiences. However, the last time we went (end of August, party of 22), we did run into some issues. Food was great, but the service was a little lacking when it came time to get our checks. It took close to an hour to get our bills, as the server was having issues dealing with separate checks. My recommendation is to have multiple servers handle a table of that size next time, as that would make it a bit more manageable, I think. Still, they have great food, atmosphere, and prices. Don't hesitate to check it out!”

“Great ambience, water views, restraint had very tasty food, the original pop over, and excellent service. Make this a stop when visiting Bar harbor. Like Jordon pond with out the crowds and better food and ambience. Parking can be a little tricky but there is plenty to the right of the main drive or across the street in the gardens which is another great stop. @AdventureKrewe tip: spring and fall are best times to avoid crowds but this small quaint inn will be an oasis. Give them a try and let us know what you thought.”

“This is a neat historical Hotel/Restaurant. We went here for an anniversary dinner while we were in Maine. The food was great the view was awesome, and the food was fantastic. I would definitely go back.”

“I am not a pizza lover but this place change my mind! Fresh toppings and fresh dough. The food was so good here we ate two nights in a row. Their in House bakery was to die for and we brought pastries back to the hotel for a morning treat.”

“This place is a hidden gem! From the front it looks like this tiny little bakery & deli, but go inside!!!!! The food is fantastic, the people were great and it was a really cool place. Everything we ate was fantastic, the service was great, the waiter was super friendly. Definitely try the Seafood Pizza it was 100% amazing! Don't miss it if your in Northeast Harbor.”

“Great service and food. Highly recommend the bear sandwich (grilled blueberry bread, honey, cheddar, apples, and blueberry) great vegetarian option! Probably one of the favorite foods I had on my trip. The staff was very friendly and the place has cool vibes and the food was really good. Overall great experience, highly recommend. Ignore the negative reviews, they sound like they’re from stuffy rich people.”

“Stopped by for a quick lunch and was delighted to see their menu offered soups that were not chowder or bisque. (Can get a little tired of seafood around here) Had a lovely lamb stew soup with pretzel bread croutons. My husband had a delicious big chunk of bread pudding with maple syrup. Recommend a stopping here for lunch.”

“We’ve been visiting Abel’s since the late 1970s, and had dinner there on Wednesday night. What can I say? The view is fantastic. Advice: sit outside if it’s not too chilly or rainy, and make a reservation — you’ll get a table closer to the water’s edge. The food is as good as ever. We had steamers and lobster dinners. Somehow the seafood at Abel’s is sweeter and better than other lobster pounds in the area. Delicious is an understatement. And their blueberry pie was excellent. Service was great (a bit slow due to their being short-handed, but we actually liked the slower pace). We’ll definitely return (again and again!).”
