“We have been here many times. Mainly have had frozen drinks and soft serve. When asked about ingredients the have a book to show and also will show the package if needed. That may not be important to all but for my family it is very important. I have never had a problem with prices they seem fair enough and to a little extra in the college fund tip jar because they are nice people. Great place to get something to eat or drink and look at the water.”

“My family and I had a relaxing and enjoyable dinner here after a long day on Mackinac island. can't think of a better place to sit and relax as the sun sets. Our waitress Lona was a delight to talk too and a wealth of information. Thanks for a lovely meal.”

“Our waiter Kevin was extremely nice and attentive. The all you can eat breakfast buffet was good. There was also an omelet station but without gravy, that's a no go for me so we stuck to other things. Was a good experience and good food.”

“This was our second time here. Loved it the first time we came a year ago. Pizza is out of this world. I am a very picky person when it comes to pizza and your pizza made me a believer. You use an equal amount of toppings and cheese and generous amount of sauce. You definitely beat a nationwide chain that has a roof in their logo. They definitely skimp on everything. You have them beat hands down.”

“Large restaurant right on the lake. They were one of the few nicer places still open at the end of the season. Most other shops and restaurants were already closed. Enjoyed drinks and a nice meal from their varied menu. Desserts available too. Reasonably priced.”

“Enjoyed a lovely breakfast with my wife at Bentley's. The breakfast sandwich and breakfast pasty were both very good. The staff are friendly and our food was delivered quickly. They did add an extra charge for a coffee we didn't order but they removed the charge when we asked.”

“Best food in town! Burgers were big and juicy. Fries were thick and hand cut. Excellent service and great prices. Will definitely visit again if ever back in town.”

“My group was the last table served for the season, apparently they were closing down that afternoon. Despite that, they still allowed us to sit down and enjoy a meal. Our server was very friendly, and had some great recommendations. I ended up ordering a patty melt on wheat and it was fantastic. The patty was grilled perfectly, and the cheese and onions were delicious too. My friends were very satisfied with their meals as well (whitefish patty melt, and lobster mack & cheese). Their fries are good too, nice and thick cut. I would love to come check this place out again next summer, and maybe grab an ice cream cone from the ice cream bus out front.”

“Best pasties around. Smoked fish was incredible. Got 6 pasties for the family the last time we were there and not one bit was wasted.”

“Growing up in the area family brought me back so obviously we had to take the kids over the bridge and a good pasty is necessary when home! Great pasties, guy was super nice wish I'd gotten his name, cause I was very pleased with the service! Even bought a few coffee mugs. I only get my pasties here when I visit home ???? even love I can buy frozen ones to take back with me!”

“This place has a nice variety of products. Hot food and good coffee. I've been coming to this location for four years roughly 3 times a year. The morning staff is pretty unpleasant in the dealings with new faces. They complain a lot about pretty much everything. The afternoon staff is better. Tonight's evening person, Nick, was very personable and outgoing. I would enjoy being greeted and thanked for my visit rather than being told your set while they walk away.”

“It was a busy weekend and they only had two people there helping customers. My family and I waited in line for about 20 mins. But other than that a good sandwich shop.”

“Staff is hardworking, very nice, always polite! Food is like every drive in, greasy, but very tasty, however I noticed they do have a vegetarian burger on the menu! Their menu is big, their prices are great, very cheap. They do have some seating room inside also, if you need to get out of your car for a bit.”

“Been getting pasties here since Howard Johnson was across the street. Only place I'll buy pasties. Brought 2 dozen home and loaded up on upper hand brewery beer from the zodiac party store in same Building. I appreciate all your hard work you guys put into the great pasties. See you next year”

“There isn’t a nicer group of people a person could meet. The staff is friendly, quick, and accommodating. The manager is visible, greets customers, knows the locals, and keeps the pace going. The buffet is great. Menu orders are delicious and brought quickly. We look forward to bringing our family there as often as possible.”

“This is one of the most amazing places we ate at. My wife and sister-in-law had a whitefish salad they both said it was wonderful, I had the butterfly shrimp with a salad and cottage cheese, that was great. My brother had the broiled whitefish and loved it. The family run business is a well oiled machine. The freindly atmosphere and the smiling faces tells me that we will definitely eat there again. This is a definite recommend place to try”

“Was highly recommended by one of my customers and after planning to eat at the Grand Hotel golf course for lunch we decided to try this place. The food is AMAZING! The menu this season has spectacular choices. We had the burger and the turkey burger. I tried the Mission point Rose'. Which was so very good! Definitely tourist price point. But well worth every single cent!! Such an amazing lunch!”

“One of the most reasonably priced places to grab a bite on the island. Decent selection, good food.”

“An easily overlooked BBQ restaurant tucked just off of Main Street on Mackinac Island, but if you do you will be regret it. Delicious food and a welcome respite to the fudge, candy spots and normal over priced food fare. From delicious original appetizers like homemade potato chips with blue cheese dip, to more traditional BBQ staples such as pulled pork and brisket. Along with a well stocked bar full of local beers and wine, it’s definitely worth seeking out the next time you are on the island.”

“I’ve been coming to Mackinac for years but hadn’t made it out to The Woods. It truly was a special dinner in a beautiful house. The food was fantastic (got the whitefish) and service absolutely excellent. All things considered, the price wasn’t not too bad either. Lastly, while the website says to order a taxi, there is a shuttle available from downtown. We ended up walking home as well which wasn’t too bad of a hike.”

“Had a great lunch here. We went when they opened and got a table right by the window. The calamari was some of the best I’ve ever had, highly recommend trying it. The whitefish dip and French onion soup were good too. The place filled up quick after we were seated.”

“Fantastic pizza, we got the barbecue and it was one of the best we’ve had. The cilantro adds just the right touch and the onions are perfectly crispy. We were so hungry and worried pizza would take a while but it was faster than expected! Overall a great place ????”

“Our server was friendly and the food was decent. I was really craving some brunch-type food so we decided on this place. I appreciated that our server recommended I did not order an avocado because they were pre-packaged and not very fresh at all. I was told that the potatoes were gluten-free and later got sick that day so I found out myself that they were not. I would love if in the future items could be labeled whether they are gluten-free.”
