“Khue's kitchen is a separate, but partnered kitchen INSIDE Brava bar (I did a separate review for Brava Bar). The atmosphere is sophisticated, modern-vintage. The Lo-fi urban music is plays in the background at just the right decimals. If you enjoy asian cuisine, you will absolutely love the food. One of the best things about the food is the PRICE. I ordered the chili crunch wings. It came out steaming but it was not too hot to dig in right away. Let me tell you, that first bite of the crunchy, flakey chicken wing will enlist you as a devotee. It's hard to truly describe how chicken wing skin so thin can have so much savory crunch. I actually used my fork to eat all the crunchy stuff that fell on the plate☺️ Complements to the chef👌🏿, who may be Khue... sorry I got lost in the chili crunch and didn't get his actual name. But deductive reasoning tells me it's Khue. You should for sure go here if you're in the Twin Cities. If you're a local, I'll probably see you because I'll be coming back several times to try the other menu items.”

“My new favorite chicken place. Online ordering is not good, you still gotta wait. Maybe calling is better. Just have extra time to wait, going on your lunch break may not be the best idea.”

“I’m so happy restaurants are trying to bring Lyn Lake back. Loved the industrial vibe of the space. Super tasty yet delicate Southeast flavors come together, perfect salty, savory, bitter and acidic. We tried all the meats and loved the chicken and pork belly the most. Get it with vegetables so you can wrap the meat with lettuce and the purple rice. Omg chefs kiss! No wonder its a James Beard finalist.”

“Great little eclectic restaurant with fantastic service, food and ambiance. I would definitely recommend. The staff is amazing. From the cashier to the chefs making the food. Everyone is so friendly. The variety of coffee drinks is great. You will find things you won't find anywhere else.”

“It’s an interesting bar located in Lyn-Lake. It’s almost like stepping into the set of Miami Vice with low grade cocaine because everything is moving slow. But it has an interesting vibe. This is opposite direction the other bars. Nice people and a mixed Equatorial and some Peruvian dishes. It’s kind authentic but the food does not have a lot of taste. The drinks too are borderline boring. The food is expensive and not worth it.”

“Good coffee and excellent sandwiches served on some kind of bagel thing they call a “bungle”. I’ve had a good egg and cheese sandwich, a quality chopped cheese, and an unforgettable smoked salmon bagel that I think was a special but I hope they keep it. I think they also sell some spreads and maybe even pizza by the slice? Hoping that’s right.”

“A lovely cafe opposite across the street from Our Kitchen for those who don't want to deal with their obscene wait times. They'll seat you with a menu, then you have to order at the register. Very cool vibe with artwork all around. Although it can get pretty busy, it doesn't get super loud. Some indoor and uncovered outdoor seating. Drinks were amazing, loved our hot cocoa and lattes. The lunch sandwiches we had were so good. I highly recommend the hot honey chicken sandwich. Chips for sides were fine for filling up. Chocolate cheese cake was one of the better ones I've had in town. Friendly staff that had a good feel for when we had questions and when to leave people be. Absolutely worth buying more than just food, just note that the price adds up rather quickly. Free wifi.”

“What a unique place! Fool me Once passed ALL the vibe checks. The staff were amazing, super friendly and conversational. We had a great conversation with the bartender, learned a bit about the bar and a surprising amount about professional arm-wrestling. The food was just ✨ fantastic ✨. I had the vegan crunchwrap, a classy take on the classic taco bell garbage fire, filled with mushrooms, beans, and plenty of flavor and texture. It was delicious and so filling. The drinks were just as good. Delicious 😋. I had an NA mule, and it hit the spot perfectly, priced appropriately as well. Definitely plan on coming back here, and I'd recommend you check it out if you get a chance! 💙🐦✨”

“I only got potatoes and pancakes but they were extremely tasty and the menu is decently sized. Staff was all nice, and the interior is nice as well although there is not a huge amount of tables. Definitely a new local favorite for sure.”

“Absolutely delicious!🤤 Chicken tikka masala, naan, kheema samosas, and mango lassi…!❤️🥲 Sooo good you’ll 😭 cry!!!! ❤️❤️ …I came back the next day and the chicken tandoori is positively sinful!!! Forget my diet🤤 But I feel that this is so much better than eating pizza 🍕 after work because everything is closed- it tastes healthy and does not upset my stomach recovering from food poisoning from Matt’s Grill. First solid food after a week of banana and oatmeal to recover. Healthy and delicious. Tastes like home cooking! No msg, no greasy after taste, no stomach problems.💗”

“We have gotten Kataki 3 times now and WOW I'm so impressed with their sushi! I hadn't heard of it until my brother visited from out of town and suggested it and now it's one of our favorite places. The quality is amazing and the sushi is fresh and unique. I've never sat in the restaurant so I can't speak to the ambiance - we have only ever gotten take out. However we have ordered by calling and have never had any problems with the order or service when we pick up. We have tried multiple rolls including the Spicy Girl Roll, Sexy Girl roll, and Kataki roll. Everything has been delicious and I can't choose a favorite! Also don't sleep on the stir fry ramen, it's delicious. Get the chicken! I've tried the steak one as well and they're both amazing.”

“Love this place! Friend and I were looking for a quick lunch nearby, saw this and decided to give it a go. Guess what? This place is legit! I've already been back myself several times now for lunch and dinner. The quesadilla was so good that I forgot to take a pic and ordered takeout just to snap a pic for this review. The food is tasty, portions are huge, staff are great. What else can you ask for?”

“We stopped by because we were in the neighborhood, the atmosphere looked cozy and relaxing so we decided to go in. The hospitality was great, they did not rush us to order, they did bring our food pretty quick which I was surprised. I will say though, maybe update your nutrition facts and let people know that the type of spicy does vary depending on the plate. Some people can’t handle chipotle sauce, so it’d be a good idea to put those little details on the side so people are aware. Over all the food was an 8/10 but everything else from the atmosphere to the service I’d give a 10/10. Will definitely come back here if I’m in the area again.”

“PLANT BASED YOU CAN LOVE- You gotta get a smoothie- Community is the heart of this business and that is not just talk. There are shelves of community partnership rocking the waiting area with local made spices and drinks, POP-Up events, and an apothecary section of fresh healing herbs. There is NOTHING LIKE IT in North and it is a welcome twist. Black owned is cool and worth supporting, yet there is more to the story of uniting together to be plant based and the building of community is deep rooted. PS: Give yourself time to get your order. This is a micro business so they are just figuring it out- be patient- the person that took your order is then going back in the kitchen to COOK your order. sometimes they run out of supplies so just adjust to what is available. They will make something GREAT and they will make it to order. PLUS they have a variety of oracle cards to give yourself a reading while you wait for the magic. Passion- forward”

“Great place to hang out and get work done. Relaxing atmosphere; not overly noisy. Background music is nice and not too loud or distracting. I was surprised by how reasonable their prices are compared to some other coffee shops I frequent. I'll probably start coming here more often! My iced coffee was solid, as was my nutella, banana, and almond sandwich - very unique! Friendly staff. There are two gender-neutral bathrooms here, and an ample parking lot next to the building. Overall, a nice local coffee shop!”

“An amazing and titillating experience. The hairs on my arms stood erect with the intimacy and sensuality of being in the presence of one entertainer in particular, who went by Kat. Wow. She brought it all- fun, excitement, and an all around amazing night. Ended up splurging in a VIP bottle package to have her attention more and it was money well spent. If you want to have a good night, this is the place. The food was amazing too. I’ll definitely be going back, and asking for Kat 🤤😍”

“This is the best Thai food in Minneapolis, the vegetarian curry is the best I have tried, and I have been to Thailand before! Everything I have tried here has been superb so far. They have Thai tea here as well. Service is so amazing too. Thank you”

“Wonderful! Poke bowl had great proportions of the “good stuff” balanced with the rice. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The service was excellent - about 2 mins from order to receiving what I ordered. They have 3 kiosks where you can place your own order, which makes it nice if you are undecided and want to look at your options. The poke bowl with a generous bowl of edamame and a drink (combo) was $13.50. A real value and I left completely full.”

“Wow, I think I finally found what I’ve been searching for all my life in the Twin Cities. What? What? A rich and delicious chocolate cake. Seriously, I’ve been everywhere locally and no chocolate cake has won me over… until now. It’s moist, rich, and very chocolaty like how I like it. I have tried some of their other sweets too and have loved them all. This might be my new favorite bakery.”

“The ribs and the BUTTERMILK fried chicken buckets are amazing! The crunch on that fried chicken is yummy! It is kid approved! The cheesecake is delicious and the food is fresh! Definitely getting this again for my family.”

“This is an Ethiopian restaurant. There isn’t much English spoken here and there is no menu, but the staff and patrons are friendly. If you’re an adventurous eater, you might like it. The soup was delicious and the salad was fresh. I’m actually not sure what kind of meat was in my main dish. It was pretty good but a few of the bites were a little gamey tasting. The seasoning in the rice was good, and you get a generous portion, so you won’t leave hungry. The waiter rang me up for $17 which seemed a little high, but he hit “skip” on the tip screen, so I guess it was a fair price if you consider that the tip is “included”. If I go back I think I’ll just get two or three bowls of soup! 🥣 Overall I’d give it 3.5 stars.”

“Another restaurant that we've been saying we want to visit... we were not disappointed. Rotisserie chicken with polenta and Brussels sprouts and also the Walleye with mushroom risotto -- everything was seasoned well. The decor in the dining room was very cozy, good background music. We'll be back again to try other options!”

“Recently visited Tavola for the first time and I was overall impressed with the delicious food! I was not expecting much based on the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. Nestled inside the Elliot Park Hotel, the ambiance was beautiful with an open concept and beautiful light fixtures. It was moody with dark walls and very modern. I loved it! Pro tip - enter through the Elliot Park Hotel entrance, since the Tavola entrance is locked. I learned that the hard way! ;) We had a group of about 8 including kids. Everyone loved what they got! For an appetizer, we got the burrata and fries. The burrata was decadent with plenty of buttered focaccia bread slices. The fries were perfectly crispy and the aioli that it came with was divine. Most of us ordered the Ratolo - consisting of ricotta, spinach, and a sweet & spicy tomato agro dolce sauce. It was so delicious and better than expected. I loved the side salad and dressing as well. Overall a 10/10 meal. I also got the berry lemonade which was amazing! One of our friends ordered the mushroom pappardelle which was equally delicious. I appreciated how there were vegetarian options on the menu. We were here celebrating a couple friends' birthdays and the server surprised us with slices of a rich chocolate mousse cake. It was melt-in-your-mouth good! The reason I docked a star is because service was incredibly slow. It took a while for our server to take our orders. Additionally, our kids were starting to get fussy since it was getting late with bringing the checks. The restaurant seemed relatively empty so I wasn't sure if it was a staffing issue or otherwise. However, our waiter was incredibly friendly and the food was amazing so it was overall a great experience!”

“A damn good burger! My partner had Roasted Tomato Basil soup w/a grilled cheese...a classic for a winter day. Will definitely become a regular as the other items look just as tasty. Friendly and quick service. A very nice casual lunch spot.”

“It's a little confusing how and where to order, but once we got that figured out, I'm very happy we stopped here. The food is so fresh and delicious. The staff didn't pay much attention to us since we sat ourselves, but I still think this is a 5 star place. I love that they use food sourced from the farmers market. The craft sodas are hit or miss, probably skip those unless you feel like a splurge. Easy lunch spot before or after hitting the museum or us bank!”
