“Very very cool brunch spot in downtown ocean springs. Definitely get the biscuits with all their jellies! The "boards" are excellent. Snack board and brunch board are both my go to. Plenty of sweet and savory on both. You'll feel like you're royalty when you're eating either! It's literally fit for a Prince or Princess! Excellent service even though they're always super busy. “Decided to try this location after searching the area for a new place to try. Must say it was so good that I came back a second day in a row. Both days I sat outside on the deck and enjoyed the weather. The deck is nicely shaded by large oak trees and has a large fireplace for cool evenings. The tea was sweet and fresh. The first day I tried the Bistreaux Burger and right then decided I was coming back. The burger can be ordered on French bread or a biscuit, I opted for the homemade biscuit and was glad. It was dressed and had a fried egg, I ordered over medium, and candied bacon. It had a small amount of maple syrup, not drenched, but just enough. The burger was fantastic. I came with a side which I chose garlic butter skillet potatoes. Good choice. My second trip I tried the Cajun shrimp grits which were covered in a Cajun cream sauce. They came with Texas Toast which I asked if I could sub one of the biscuits. I was told it would be no problem, +1 for allowing subs. The prices which were around $15-18 were reasonable and quite fair for the quality. Highly recommend if in the area.”

“The Boathouse Bar & Grill was very surprising! We enjoyed sitting outside overlooking the bayou. It was a beautiful, cool breezy afternoon, but they kicked up the comfort zone by having a see-through vinyl curtain to block the wind, and up above our seating was a personal outdoor heater. It made sitting out there so much more enjoyable. We then ordered the Seafood Bread for our appetizer and the Double Boathouse Platter for two. Because they make everything when you order, it takes a tiny bit longer, but we really don't mind that because it was all well worth the wait. The waitress was very attentive, and not only did she tell us about the wait for our steamer, but she checked in with us frequently and also kept us updated on about how much longer it would be. We really enjoyed the Seafood Bread! It had so much seafood on it!! My sweet hubby really enjoyed it, and he usually doesn't like that kind of thing as much as I do. We then got our Boathouse Platter and WOW!! It was SO DELECTABLE!! There were tons of royal reds, there was sausage, mushrooms, potatoes, corn, lots of mussels, and two huge snow crab clusters. We had some leftover shrimp, mushrooms, and Seafood Bread; there was so much food! We spent just a little over $100 for our food and drinks. We would definitely recommend The Boathouse Bar & Grill!!”

“June 21, 2023. The restaurant has changed management. The building owners run the bar. Another entity leases and operates the restaurant and food. I guess things struggle. We will wait and see. As of April 7th, 2023, great improvements Wonderful changes. Breakfast. Starting at 8 in the morning, they offer a full coffee and pastry bar. Also, white cloth table service. The creole shrimp and gouda grits are delicious. Me and Hubs also got a trifokded 2 egg Omelet. Great table service. As of July 2022, they are now open for breakfast pastries and a barista style capouccino and expresso bar. Cafe au latte. Flavored coffees. Stuffed biscuits. Sausage or egg or crayfish and other delicious goodies. It's great for golfers to grab and go. Huge selection of fresh baked pastries daily. Except Monday and Tuesday. Great and very enjoyable staff . The food is awesome. The views are nice. Vistas of green lawns. We do not golf. But we can drink cocktails all day and watch men walk around and bang their little balls all day. Jolly is good. Delicious steaks. Very delicious. Chef Joe is a great culinary talent to Capones and to Gulf Hills. Matt is also a terrific wait staff person. Very good with details and very polite. Enjoy a lunch at Capones for lunch or dinner. We highly recommend the charm and experience. Ask for Matt.”

“Wow, what a great lunch. My wife and I heard the cook was from Southern New Jersey and made fantastic subs. I had the Italian sub, a classic hoagie of Italian meats and cheeses with oil, lettuce, tomato and onion. My wife had the pizza steak and their tomato sauce is very good. As always the bread is crucial to the whole package and they have theirs shipped in from NJ and baked fresh on site. We moved from South Jersey in 2022. We love the local cuisine and the Po Boys but are always searching for Italian food that is on par with top notch Philly and Jersey family owned restaurants. This meets the standard and they are planning to expand to entrees also for lunch and dinner.”

“Finally made it in for lunch, pretty good! Mom had the Jalapeno Chicken Salad with the pasta salad on the side, it was good. I have the pimento cheese sandwich with the potato soup for a side, it was good. Mine could have used a dash of hot sauce, but that is me and nothing against the sandwich. It's not exciting food, but it is fresh and tasty and you won't regret stopping in (or driving through) for lunch.”

“My first time visiting RibCrib. I ordered 2 meals on-line for pickup. I came early so I could check out the restaurant. Driving up, it has a very clean look. Plenty of parking with outside seating. Inside is extremely nice. Greeter met me at the door to welcome me. Told her I had a pickup order but wanted to have lunch and beer first, Directed me where to go. As I walked through the restaurant it was bright, clean, and cheerful. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I ordered a draft and lunch off the lunch special. I ordered the potato skins. They arrived looking fantastic, cheesy with pull pork on top. Very tasty.”

“I bet the grilled cheese panini will be Awesome. I had the Cuban panini, it was great. The pulled pork was well seasoned, had the right amount of ham, thickness to the meat. The cheese had amazing pull,and chew. My food buddy had the brisket panini. He couldn't really answer my questions to much. His head just nodded yes, Lol(he was chewing then). He had the potato salad as his side. The potatoe were cooked right and salad was sour cream base.”

“Taranto's is the place to go for boiled seafood; shrimp, crawfish, blue crabs, dungeness crabs, king crabs, and corn, potatoes, lemon, garlic, and spices/herbs. I have a tween aged daughter and a two year old daughter and we've never had trouble as a family. The atmosphere is totally family friendly and kids seem to love the live action of eating shell fish! Hahha Their poboys are nothing spectacular but are tasty and piled high with topping. We've never had an issue with the wait staff. I view Taranto's as a great place for a family meal or romantic evening. Beware you may need cash instead of credit/debit these days. Just call ahead. Enjoy y'all's meals!”
