“Canton's beginning started in 1836 and is the site of many films. To name a few "A time To Kill", "O Brother Where Art Thou", "My Dog Named Skip", and "Ponder" have movie sets that we explored with Charlotte our guide from the Canton Convention & Visitors Bureau. She gave us much insight into behind scenes drama and other happenings particular to scenes in movies filmed here. Canton is named the movie capital of Mississippi and a side note is that "Mississippi Burning" movie had a scene in Canton. Canton has around 150 entries into the National Register of Historic Places. The old courthouse had its cornerstone laid in 1855 by local masonic order and it was spared destruction by General Sherman because he was a Mason himself. A very friendly city and fun to visit.”

“Very relaxing environment! Watched TV, which is unusual for me while I eat, had the catfish, couldn't eat it all, fairly large portion, took some home, delicious hush puppies, probably go back! 17 bucks, included tip. I love catfish so I know that was a deal! The waitress was great!”

“First time at this place and I wish I can say I had a stellar dining experience. I love the vibe and atmosphere and the pizza was good, but the service could've been much better. We waited for what had to be 30 minutes for two 8 inch pizzas. I asked our waitress for a to go box for my pizza and instead of giving me one, she took my leftovers away. I also put my drink down at the bar table briefly and they took my drink away without asking if I was finished with it. Probably my first and last time at this restaurant.”

They will have an attitude like most down-home people who earn a living day by day do, but the love they put into the meal says it all. I have large hands, so you can tell these jumbo burgers and large and don't hide under the large bun. If you are in a hurry, slow down and take the time for a freshly patted out hot burger.
