“We love this place. The shop is inside and has amazing fresh fish, incredible seafood, smoked salmon and smoked black cod, cheeses from all over the world, handmade pastas and sauces, chutneys and oils and aged vinegars, anchovy paste and salsa. The outside window is where you order fried fish. We usually get the halibut, fried with a cornmeal type breading, fries, and a soda or tea. There are a few tables outside, but in winter it's awesome if you can snag one of the three small tables inside the shop. They food comes wrapped in butcher paper in a brown paper dish. Works well. Total Eugene gem.”

“My first Indian food restaurant. I was thrilled! Food was explained, spices the same and I sampled most dishes (plate was large but many selections). My first reaction was "oh, my, this is my kind of food!" Absolutely delicious. Service was great, encouraging me to try more. I did! “Been back here many times, as well as other places in Eugene, and Mama Mayra's is simply the best. The food here is better than Novo Latin Table. The only downsides are the location and interior, which aren't so great, but the food is just so dang good you can forget about everything else.$2.50 for a perfectly cooked egg scramble folded nicely with very tasty beans and cheese in a flour tortilla. So for green/red sauce to jazz/spice things up!”

In fact the night we tried it the first time we were actually headed somewhere else but our good fortune was that place was closed so we decided to give Hong Kong a try - and boy are we glad we did!!!! This small restaurant is off the chart great. It is not fancy at all, which is fine with me, but they know Chinese food. We have been there twice within the past week and it is outstanding in taste and quality at reasonable prices. It was explained to me they don't make food ahead of time and then dish it out, it's all done to order, which is how it should be done. This restaurant (Hong Kong) has unquestionably become our "go to" Chinese restaurant due to their excellent food, absolute best in Eugene/Springfield in my opinion. If you like excellent Chinese food then this is the place for you. See you there!!!”

“First time visit. Ordered #17 Chinese style beef soup & then Vietnamese stir fry rice noodles to go. The soup tasted well, I would order it again. The stir fry is similar to pad thai but less sweet & tastes more healthy. I tasted the stir fry while it was still hot & then also later as left overs after reheating. It's better when it's first cooked in comparison to becoming left overs.”
