“This place has earned my vote as the best breakfast at the coast. Their roots as a bakery are evident from the mountain of fresh French toast that was already buttered and smothered with fresh berry compote! Eggs were perfectly prepared, thick sliced bacon that wasn’t overcooked, and perfectly seasoned crisp country potatoes and real coffee. I almost went to another spot up the street instead because the reviews of this place didn’t properly reflect its true quality! Pro-tip: make a reservation and get right in”

“My and my boyfriend had gone to the coast for a little beach getaway and in the two days we were there, we ended up eating it twice. The food is so good and authentic that we think about it often. One of their great foods is the steak sandwich and you are getting a rather large steak for not much at all. Definitely a restaurant I would go out of my way to get again.”

“The location of this place is great! The hotel itself has amazing views and a nice aesthetic. The bathrooms at this place are kinda weird, they have this see-through glass that you see everything happening inside the bathroom from everywhere. Definitely, not family friendly I can say. The room had a lot of women hair on the wood walls too. Overall, the place needs better quality service. For the price and the fact that you have to stay for two nights at least, they can create more of a fun experience for their guest.”

“Make sure to stop in to Current Cafe and Lounge. Their staff is patient and kind. They have well made drinks and food. They expand their offerings to include items you may have forgotten to bring with you on your overnight trip to the coast. They provide wall and counter space to local artists and creators. Don't forget they rent bikes and claiming gear for your beach experience. If you're of the surfing type, they offer rentals and sales in the other half of the building.”

To be noted prices have increased in the last six month's by about 30%, a noticeable difference... but the food and alcoholic beverages are still exceptional! “Clam chowder was good, possibly more clams would have made it better. Flavor of the fresh fish sandwich was overpowered by sauce on the bun. Fish and chips was better. Visited on a Friday evening. It did seem as though they were a bit short staffed. Drink order got a little mixed up but that was fixed immediately. Waited for ranch for a bit but ended up having to go ask for it at the bar. Bar was loud and packed in a positive way, complete with modern day pirate toting parakeet. We were celebrating a birthday. Server brought a surprise birthday drink that did not disappoint, try the captain on acid!”

“Excellent spot to enjoy a game. The food is spectacular and maybe even the real draw for me for next time. We expected typical bar food while we watched the NFL playoffs, but ended up eating some very good shrimp gumbo. Anytime you're at the coast you have to try something local and this was my favorite meal out of the three days of staying in Pacific City. We also got the beef nachos to share. Those hit the spot, but beware if you're sensitive to cheese. They put a lot on there! The waitstaff were all prompt and very attentive. We had our second beer ice cold before we even asked for them. They anticipated what we were there to do! It was a good, local vibe that was a nice experience.”

“Last time we were there it was pre pandemic. They did a bit of remodeling inside to the dining room. It was nice but lacked some needed wall art that would give homage to Mexico. “Their cheeseburgers are good, sometimes the buns are soggy but still a good burger. The fries are delicious. I wish they were a little crispier and not so floppy but they are homemade and you can't really beat homemade fries. I sometimes sit at home and dream of their fries dipped in 1000 😆. The view of the bay is beautiful but the restaurant interior is a little outdated. The prices seem a little on the steep side but the burgers are decently priced.”
