“I'm so glad I found Hummingbird Creek Bistro while looking for somewhere to eat on our roadtrip! The photos in everyone's reviews immediately sold me, but they do not do it justice! You can relax by the beautiful flower garden, lawn, and koi pond, or next to the creek. We had a wild turkey visit us while we ate our pizzas ($10 for a 10-inch pie). The scenery alone would've made for a wonderful lunch break, but the food was absolutely delicious too! Perfectly charred crust, a balsamic drizzle, salt on the tomato slices, so much attention to detail from the wonderful ladies here. When they heard we weren't local, they even gave us a mini tour of the facilities. What a gem!”

“I was just passing through for work and wanted a nice cup of coffee. I was also looking for some local flavor with a little bit of flair, the Jack Henry coffee house fulfilled it all! The espresso was fantastic, the employees super kind and courteous, even the patrons were above and beyond. My buddy and I had our coffees bought for us by a fine fellow who was there that day. I will be taking a trip from Boise, back to this coffee house just because I enjoyed it there at Jack Henry's so much.”

“I love this drive through especially when I'm craving something and don't know what to get, the people who work there are always friendly professional and always give me a suggestion when I don't have a clue what I want and always end up liking what they suggest and it's always nice that they let you know what they're serving you. I love the fact that they have a seating area outside especially when it's spring and summertime evenings and can enjoy their refreshing drinks and many more I would've posted my agua fresca(natural fruit water) but it was so good I drank it before I took the pictures overall love the atmosphere”

“I REALLY hate to leave 3 stars here but they deserve complete honesty. I've been trying everything off the breakfast menu so far and the food has no flavor. We've done the muffin and scones and I don't know what it is but no one in my family can eat one bite. I wonder if they're not using sugar. The coffee is good if you ask for extra shots. I tried the red velvet frappe and didn't taste much of anything. I really love the customer service and I like that they spend their time making it a great experience but I'd love for their products to taste better. One thing I thoroughly enjoyed was the breakfast biscuit today and I had a iced latte with 4 shots and 2 syrup flavors and it was just right. Next is to try lunch menu items and maybe that will bring my rating up. But for now, it's average.”

“What a great little coffee shop. We stopped in here on our way to Las Vegas. It has handmade gifts and cozy seating. She made us coffee and it was one of the best cups of coffee I have had in a long time. Delicious! So on the way back home we stopped in again. “A wonderful lunch experience! Located on the corner of Main Street, this sandwich and ice cream shop is a lovely location with fantastic service. On a hot Monday afternoon in July, the ice cream line wrapped around the store. One hard-working and friendly young woman was helping every single customer with a smile, whether they wanted ice cream or a sandwich - I happened to enjoy both. She was careful to wash her hands after each transaction at the cash register and did an excellent job catering to each adult and child in the shop. 10/10 experience!”

“I walked across the street from The Landing Hotel to grab a milkshake and a sweet treat. The Local offers handmade ice cream, pastries, tea, coffee, and sandwiches. I ordered a Blue Moon Milkshake (raspberry & other flavors), a pecan huckleberry scone and a piece of banana bread. It was busy and I received my milkshake in about ten minutes The milkshake was thick and had great taste. The scone and banana bread were both very moist and not really sweet. I enjoyed the the fun atmosphere of The Local and came back the the next day for a raspberry Italian Soda. Located on Adams Street in La Grande across from The Landing Hotel. A nice place to stop for a frozen treat, pastry, drink, or sandwich in a renovated Texaco Gas Station with friendly service.”

“I’ve been extremely ill for many months (I’ve lost over 80 lbs altogether) and literally these smoothies are keeping me alive. “The Washburne was a great spot for a morning coffee and treat. They offer full plate meals (breakfast and lunch), and if the smiles on the patrons' faces were any indication, the food is tasty. My breakfast treat was tasty. There was a pleasant background taste of banana to complement the chocolate chips. It was too cookie to be a sweet bread, yet too substantial to be just a cookie. They offer table seating, bar seating, and a living room- like area. I experienced it as comfy despite the bustling energy of their mid-morning crowd. I will be back!”

“This place has good coffee. But the avocado toast is outstanding. The ricotta cheese sprinkled with everything bagel seasoning really makes it taste good. And the toast, whatever bread they use and it's thick cut, and they add an entire avocado on top. I also had them fried egg and put that on top. Excellent. Baked goods are also good, lots of variety. But the avocado toast is really the thing to get. I would come here daily. Internet access in case you need to work. Older clientele. Easy parking. Great atmosphere. Half of it is quiet and wood decor. The other half is a little more Cafe open feeling with tile and local artwork. Again, must highlight the avocado toast.”
