“I love love ❤️ this place! I used to live in Italy and this place is just like the Shoppes you would find in Rome. The food is amazing and fresh, they bake bread daily they have a terrific olive bar and amazing variety of their own homemade pastas and sauces. You can even buy fresh pasta there and cut it yourself to make authentic lasagna and fettuccine. Also they have yummy samples of whatever specialty their highlighting that day.”

“The Village Cafe was the perfect venue for our catered event, a 60th Birthday Party with a "Picnic" theme, and Open Mic music, for 90 people. Bill Baird and his staff did an exceptional job preparing and displaying the food beautifully. They truly raise food prep to an art form, and the guests expressed over and over to me how good everything tasted, especially the chicken. The cake was a wonderfully dense and very flavorful pound cake, with delicious butter cream icing, and Bill worked with me to achieve my unique decoration request. He and his staff were professional and gracious. The Facilities staff was also very gracious and attentive, meeting all of our needs. The Audio Tech was professional and worked well with the performers, and mixed sound for the variety of acts with skill, creating a pleasant atmosphere. This unique venue and it's wide menu options lend themselves well to any event from casual to formal, and I highly recommend them to any host.”

“First of all, let’s start with the coffee. Many times, the coffee at a diner or cafe is watered down yuck. Not here. I have finally found a place that has coffee as good as what I make at home: theirs is a specialty brand-top shelf, and brewed nice and strong. Yes, please, and thank you! Our first visit, a Sunday noon, had many people waiting for a table. But Sammy’s service staff is friendly and efficient-we we seated surprisingly quickly. Cheerful, low-key ambiance-lots of plants in windows, a collection of quirky mugs for hot drinks, a counter with stools on the kitchen side. My daughter chose the brisket mac-n-cheese bowl, which was customized for her-sans broccoli and tomato. Deliciously creamy cheeses, flavorful large bites of brisket. Gourmet comfort. Since they had just run out of the shrimp and grits special, I decided on the crab cake sandwich. So glad I did-one of the best crab cake sandwiches I’ve ever had. With a side of hand cut fries-total bliss. Asked for and received lemon slices for the sandwich, might have been nice to see dill pickle company, but I can hardly quibble with a sandwich such a delicious star of the plate. We are fans of The Frog-will definitely be hopping back ????”

“Had to ask the worker to put on new gloves after he did the register with them. Why is it that they don't know the gloves are not for their protection but for the public?? They do not wash their hands and then grab gloves with dirty hands, then use those dirty hands to pull the glove straight and put them on, meanwhile touching the entire outside of the glove with their dirty hands and then they proceed to make food! This is unsanitary and is the first thing taught in food safety classes. But yet these workers never do it.”
