“I wish I could go with a 3 1/2 stars for my review. There was absolutely nothing wrong with this restaurant, but there was nothing great about it either. I went with their nachos, which they claim are "touted by locals as the best on the island." Obviously, the competition must be limited, because the nachos were inoffensive but not very interesting. I ended up eating half of my son's pasta with red sauce, which was somehow more tasty. My fiance liked his fish and chips, and described the fish as better than anything he'd eat when he wasn't on the coast (aka, back home in Ohio). We sat outside in the covered eating section during the rain, which was a pretty nice experience (except when it got super windy). I did go inside to use the restroom and was glad we opted for the outdoor seating, since the indoor seating area was more dimly lit and had a bit of a bar vibe. Live music was nice, although we only heard a bit of it. I probably wouldn't seek out this restaurant again if we're back in Hilton Head, but I also wouldn't actively avoid it, either.”

“When you walk in, this place feels like an English pub. It's small and kind of dark, but the bartender is really friendly and greets you immediately. Order a drink and relax, everything on the menu is tasty. I highly recommend striking up a conversation with the other patrons as locals eat here too. Is it big group friendly? I wouldn't bring more than four people. It's a little cramped, I saw a group of 11 almost fill the joint. Is it family friendly? Not if your child is ill behaved (they have gambling machines, not video games). But if you're looking for somewhere to escape the crowds and just relax over a beer and sandwich, this is definitely the place for you.”

“Just came back from vacation in Hilton Head with my fiancee and we had a great time, in general. We asked one of our drivers about a good place to get some drinks and have a bite and he suggested this place. We gave it a shot on our first night down there and had a blast... We had such a blast that we went back twice more during our 10 days down there! The ambiance of that place is amazing and the food was excellent. Our bartender was great as were the waitresses that we had on all occasions. One night we stayed for the after hours, too. Such a great time. I would def reccomend Crave by Daniel's to any and everyone! We will see you guys again soon!!!!”

“Great place to eat lunch! So near the beach, and they don't mind if you come in your bathing suits. Considering the location, they could probably get away with average food, but it's actually really good! Nice variety of salads, bowls, sandwiches, pizza, seafood, etc. Delicious French fries. Family friendly. Save yourself the trouble of packing a beach lunch and just make the short walk over to eat here!”

“GO CHECK THIS PLACE OUT. We went to Low Country Backyard to find a 1.5 hour wait. I found this place on Yelp and called them. There was no wait. Hearing there was no wait scared me a little, but I was pleasantly surprised. The owner wants your business, and he'll work to earn it. The fried chicken, baked beans, fried green tomatoes, and jalapeno pimento cheese dip was great. Everyone in my party of seven enjoyed our food. The servers check on you every 5 minutes. The owner checked on us quite often too. He was very friendly as well. I'll be back here upon my next visit to HHI.”

“We had a wonderful late lunch there today and it was Awesome. I had Shrimp and Grits my husband had grilled blackened sword fish , Mac and cheese We shared the fried green tomato salad . Everything was lovely. The best food we have had on the Island since we got here and we’ve ate at quite a few of the restaurants recommended in the tourist guide books. We had ate here few years ago and loved it , but forgot the name then I ran across it this morning. I recognized the place from a pic online and we took off! It was amazing! “The epitome of five stars! This place was classy and homey. From the very start, the wine was pristine. Also highly recommend the blue crab dip and fried oysters as appetizers. Waiter was very knowledgeable of every single item on the menu, even down to describing the taste of the sauces. Our entrees were succulent in taste and hearty in size. She was very warm and inviting and seated me at the bar as I was solo on this trip...she went out of her way to suggest some wines for me which I found to be perfectly paired to my tastes! I always go for the fish, but I'm told the turf options are just as good. Incredible mid priced wine list with top notch tasting wines. (Monday nights bottles are half price (under $100). Try the pate and/or the smoked salmon appetizer - they are both terrific. The deserts are excellent.”
