“We had lunch, really terrific. Arguably the best meal we had during our two weeks on the island. French Onion soup is a must! We ordered a grilled brie ham and cheese sandwich and a tuna Asian slaw salad. The portions were huge. We could have split either easily. Both meals were really great. Did I mention the french onion soup? Service was outstanding - great recommendations from a knowledgeable staff. While its casual (like everyplace on the island) I dont think I'd want to come in from the pool/ beach without changing. Easy parking. Oh, and the french onion soup!”

“No kidding, top 3 best pizza place I have ever eaten in my life! This maybe in a tourist area but it is absolutely amazing! If you are in the area and are looking for pizza do not settle for anything less! We have been traveling to hilton head for the past 20 years and this is by far the best joint ever! Just wish they have been open for longer! The skinny sticks are really good but just wish they gave you more. Also if you are looking for a good judgment on how much to buy, we had 5 people and two 16” pizzas was the perfect amount. I believe we had two or three slices left over. Hope this helps!”

“Excellent dinner. We've eaten everywhere in Sea Pines and I think this is one of the best meals we've had. All the food was obviously freshly prepared. I had a nice crab cake sandwich and my husband had a steak cooked right outside on the grill. Kids had a nice burger with awesome steak fries and fresh fruit. Kids menu wasn't as extensive as some but what they offer is quality. We've always loved their breakfast (the donuts ????) but definitely check them out for dinner.”

“After many boating trips around Hilton Head, our family finally decided to tour Daufuskie Island. Taking the Ferry over and renting a couple golf carts for the day. A unique experience to see the island. One of our favorite parts of the day was ending up at the Beach Club. The kids enjoyed finding hermit crabs on the beach and after we relaxed on the porch a with drinks. Kevin went out of his way along with other staff to make sure our family had a good experience.”

“Absolutely delicious. I was in a party of 5, and no one was dissatisfied with their meal. Two of us had some of their specials for the day, the rest ordered from their menu. Very friendly service, too! This restaurant is in an old building with a bit of history behind it, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We had some appetizers and desserts as well, and everything was great. I would suggest booking a reservation: ours was for 5pm, when they open, and by the time we left the place was full!”

“The portions felt a little small. Perhaps this is because I am a bigger guy and I eat more than others, but it felt like they were skimping a little. The crab cakes were very good, but they were small, the hush puppies were delicious, but not too many in the basket. My son referred to them as donut holes, without the icing. Very good, I just wish there were more of them. The she crab soup was very tasty and my wife's tacos and sweet potato fries did not disappoint. Our wait wasn't too long for our food and the service was good. The restrooms could use an update, they felt very "1980s ish" if you will. Clean, just dated. The view of the harbor is one of the best in all of Hilton Head.”

“We ate here while on vacation. The place is very festive and lively. While we were there, there was live entertainment outside and the bar was outside. We ate inside so we could catch the AC. The service was very good from being seated to ordering and receiving our food. The menu was a little limited but okay if you're really hungry and just need a bite to eat. The fish and chips is very expensive. Unsure why it is proceed so high. Good place for kids as well. Not a bad restaurant.”

“This is hands down one of the absolute best BBQ joints I've ever been too. Not just on Hilton Head Island, but anywhere. The wings were out of this world. The ribs were phenomenal. All of the meat was juicy and tender. Nothing was dry at all. The sauces were unique and delicious (the chocolate BBQ sauce is incredible). The staff were very polite and just the right amount of attentive. As an added bonus, the place was packed when we showed up. Despite this, we got seated quickly, and nothing felt rushed at all. Seriously couldn't recommend this place enough.”

I had the house burger cooked perfectly, juicy and delicious as were the "Create your Own" burger, pick your beef, cheese toppings and bun and you are off to Happy Town!. Onion rings and Truffle fries were very good as well. One in our group had the American Salad, not my first choice at Charbar but she loved it!. Easy to see why Charbar has earned its great rep as a burger place to stop when in Hilton Head.”
