“Norma the owner was a perfect hostess. I ordered the fried flounder/shrimp/oyster trio and coleslaw. The trio was served warm skewered, but the breading was too much for me. The domestic beer was only $3 and the staff made up for the food. I should have made a different choice. Overall a unique view of a beached boat, the estuary, and a trio of friends trying to get a small business of the ground. I applaud your efforts. Hours are limited so check before you go. I met a man there who said he is an HBO producer working to get Island Breeze on a production. Filming was going on near Folly Beach, so who knows. Good Luck Norma!!”

“Oh yeah!! Tiffany was AWESOME!! Plus the outside bar you can smoke is nice. Wife and I had a great time here after we left Folly. Bar ended up filling up inside and out and we had a conversation with everyone sitting. That's what's it's suppose to be about. Love a friendly bar with a bunch of different people. We'll see you soon Tiffany. Update. When in today 7-9-19. Bartenders sucked. No personality at all. Beef taco was the worst I've ever had. “Wow. What an amazing happy hour experience! The staff were so friendly, special shout to Dan and Haily who were so kind and attentive. The staff knew a lot about their product selection. “Loved it! My third visit to Charleston in five years. Wanted to bring my friend to Magnolia's, but fully booked! We reserved here just a few hours before we sat. No regrets! I completely enjoyed one of the most elegant shrimp + grits dishes ever! Delicious and reasonable wines, lovely service, polite and welcoming hosts. This restaurant is quite large and has the feel of a business night out. Not cozy or intimate- there are plenty of small cafes in Charleston to fill that need. This is a large, airy, high ceiling, T&E kind of affair. Enjoy!”

“The food is absolutely delicious. Being a New Jersey native and moving to Charleston, NYC Pizza reminds me of home. However, every time i go in there it is approximately 762°F. It’s literally so hot inside I’d rather eat outside in the Charleston summer heat. I thought they were using the seating area to bake the pizza. I don’t know if the air conditioner is broken or the thermostat is on the heat setting, but please for the sake of the customers make the air conditioning work. Cool off the inside of the building. There’s no reason why anybody should be sweating as much as they do while eating inside of your establishment.”

“The atmosphere is pretty cool, laid back and a nice blend with the old architecture. We really liked that they were trying to avoid the use of plastic and non recyclable stuff. Our server was awesome. The food was pretty good. The ribs were absolutely delicious. The pulled pork I could have bought much cheaper at Sonny's, they are of equal taste and quality (meaning don't go out of your way for the pulled pork). The coleslaw had some spice to it. I liked that but my kids, who love Coleslaw didn't. Kids loved the cheese grits. My wife liked her green beans and wings. They were almost too spicy for her though. They need a few more mild options. The brownie was more of a chocolate torte than a brownie. My wife loved that but I didn't. Overall it was a good experience and worth it.”

However, the noise level in that place ruins the atmosphere. If it's a full house it will Sound like a high school cafeteria. Especially if there are childlike people dining there. “Great service with unbelievably creative menu offerings. Most places bring out bread to begin the dinner, not Revival. They brought out a bevy of vegetables for dipping. Very nice and light to start. Definitely a seafood restaurant with a couple of steaks and chicken entrees. The crab cake appetizer was stuffed with crab, almost no filler. I had a steak cooked correctly at medium rare . Overall a top ten restaurant in Charleston.”
