“I wanted to post a food pic but it looked so good I couldn't stop. I will be back with my relatives. The place has an awesome atmosphere. Feels like a cafe in Phoenix that I enjoyed visiting.”

“The food was delicious and our server took good care of us. We definitely recommend the apple pie dessert, it's amazing. I'm scoring this a four star since I made note on my online reservation that this was a post proposal dinner and I also called to confirm they were aware and to request the best table in the restaurant, but the person on the phone dismissed my request because "every seat in the restaurant is a great seat". I was prepared to buy lots of wine, but since the celebration wasn't acknowledged, I did not.”

“Our second time to lodge and eat here. Delicious, quality food! Breakfast is served to your door. Dinner in the evening is phenomenal. Service efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. Make reservations as it does get busy. The cabins are rustic yet modern amenities. Perfect for a couples getaway.”

“The kids had a great time playing games and winning prizes. The new games were a big hit. Food is good. Selection was great. There are many picky eaters in my family and there was something great for everyone. The customer service was perfect. Very nice and clean establishment.”

“Worth every dollar spent! Excellent service by Sheldon! Perfect porterhouse steaks with sides. The peach turnover is made from scratch made with fresh peaches. I really appreciate the food cooked from scratch just like I make it at my house! It was the best date night ever!”

“Always busy, yet quick and efficient service. As an ex-saucier and chef, most restaurants are underwhelming, but this place has amazing food. Everything is made in-house, fresh, and delicious. Even the house salad is above average. I have taken friends and family there and everyone leaves happy. If the chocolate cake is on the dessert menu, it is utterly sublime, don't miss out on it.”

“Stopped here for dinner on my first night in Fredericksburg. My overall experience was positive and I would come back again. I got the sausage sampler which included Bratwurst and Knackwurst and another type. My sides was sauerkraut and German potatoes. I enjoyed everything very much. German potatoes were on the sweeter side. Service was a bit slow but the waitress was accommodating and trying her best. The restaurant seemed understaffed. My advice would be to train the servers better about the beer selections. Our server didn't seem to know much to recommend anything.”

“We were visiting Fredericksburg on our annual wine tour. Had a great dinner here. We both ordered the Texas fried chicken- delicious and perfect portion. Beer prices are reasonable. Nice patio with live music. No waitstaff- order everything at the bar. Not a problem for us!”

“Old German Bakery & Restaurant was awesome! It was very busy, but I was still taken care of quickly. I sat myself because there were tables open- they make a list if there is a wait. A server noticed me right away, asked if I had any allergies and brought me a high chair for my little one. Another server came right away with some fruit and colors for my daughter. Our food was great, and the first server noticed us when we were leaving and gave my little one a cookie. Everyone was very nice and efficient. The restaurant is on the main street 87/290 that has lots of shops and other restaurants. Great place to park and walk around.”

“Great pizza, made to order...Better than any delivery pizza. Cost is good, as the normal size is big. The staff is nice, the restaurant is clean and family friendly. My only issue was parking, since the place is on the main street parking can be a problem. But the hassle is worth the pizza. Of my entire trip there, I miss the pizza the most.”

“The food was delicious! We ordered the pesto pasta with chicken and the rosemary chicken. There was a live band which was amazing as well as a small dance floor where all the locals danced. This was the best meal we had during our trip. Totally recommended!”

“Immediately greeted with a smile and a hello. The brisket plate is what I ordered, you could cut it with a fork!! My wife order the ribs. They were fall-off-the-bone ribs. The pulled pork was phenomenal. All the BBQ was moist, juicy, and had the perfect smoke flavor. Everything was hot. The sides were huge and delicious. Real Texans in there making real damn good BBQ. Good pricing for the amounts too, which needs to be noted. Thank you, we will be back .Mark & Dalia”

“Excellent stop in Fredericksburg. The coffee is good, the pastries are amazing. They have a nice selection of everything. Plus they have a excellent collection of towels and coffee cups with fun sayings on them. Opens at 7 which is good for a tourist town. Only the donut shops on the other side of town, read not downtown, open earlier.”

“Excellent grill! They serve breakfast all day and it was very good. Thick sliced bacon, cooked perfectly crisp. French toast plate was different from the standard, and very good. Have a nice patio for outdoor dining. Prices are not cheap, but fair for the quality.”

“Margaritas are honestly the best I've ever had! Please stop mixing sour cream with the guacamole though. A little more seasoning on meals would be great too ☺ Overall a great place!”

“We ordered the chopped brisket taco. It was very good. I got mine with slaw which was also very good and I'm picky about slaw. My husband got fries which came cold, though they weren't bad for cold fries. We tried the scratch made "banana pudding". NOT grandma's recipe! Didn't find a banana in it. It was just a fluffy banana flavored pudding with some stale cookies pieces on top. Absolutely not worth the $5 we paid for it. For $5 I expected Grandma's recipe or at least some resemblance to a traditional banana pudding which actually had bananas in it.”

“Some of the best Italian food I've had! We were greeted with smiles and seated promptly. Our server Sergio was excellent! Was helpful and attentive. He's a people person and it shows!! Our food came out quickly and we could taste the freshness. Portions are very generous. Overall a fantastic dining experience! I can't say enough good things about our server and the place as a whole. Will definitely return!”

“On a Bluebonnet day trip, stopped in here for lunch. We just beat the rush and ordered. After we ordered we realized they were really short staffed. Not our servers fault but our food came out cold as it had been sitting at the pickup window for a long time. The manager (?) quickly made it right and it was delicious.”

“Apparently they think way more of their food than I did. It was OK but definitely nothing to write home about, all I'm saying is if other people hadn't been involved there is no way I'd have stuck around to pay $11 for Frito pie? That was mediocre at best(for $11 I expect a little bit of flair). The service was good which I would expect at the prices they're charging $10 for a smallish roast beef sandwich and a wad of mixed greens with two Tomatoes thrown on top as a side salad(served in the basket with my sandwich). Overall I left unimpressed and not feeling very "Sozial".”

“On a day of shopping, talking, and walking in downtown Fredericksburg Texas, we made a return visit to "Burger Burger." We had a choice of outdoor or indoor seating on this beautiful spring day. Inside it was well air conditioned and a light sweater would have been cozy. Wait staff were very attentive and made us feel welcome. There were three of us. and we each chose a different perfect hamburger and sides. Thanks and blessings "Burger Burger".”

“Small town restaurant. The locals I ran into whilst working suggested I try the place. Spacious & comfortable seating at first glance. Chips and salsa served as you sit and drink order filled fast. Try the green sauce they serve if you like spicy. Food was tasteful and served hot. A little on the pricey end but worth it. Will definitely visit again when in the area.”

“This was an amazing experience. I got to sample every beer they have for $10. Loved all but 1. My favorite was the IPA, the Pioneer Porter; it starts off tasting real bitter and the next thing your pallets adjust and it tastes almost sweet. The bartender was really nice as well.”

“My wife and I found this place while passing through Fredericksburg on our way to Austin. We heard the live music and walked into the patio and were quickly seated by the owner. He was very friendly and service was incredible. We had three different desserts and were super impressed with how tasty they were. We also had a beer and margarita. The band was terrific playing classic rock. Overall, we would definitely recommend this place, as a matter of fact when we got back home to El Paso, we recommended it to our neighbor who is planning to visit Fredericksburg a month from now.”
