“If you are in Mad River Valley, Madbush Falls is a must do stop. The restaurant and bar are great, I have had most items on the menu. The rooms are stylish, clean and comfortable. Everyone working at Madbush Falls is a pleasure to deal with. They are all friendly, and appear to be committed to the company. TJ and John thanks for all you have done to make my month long stay such a good experience.”

“Let me start of by being very clear this is a restaurant...not just a food truck, not just a catering company. Its a beautiful, amazing, delicious restautant that my love and I happened upon, only by chance since the owners dont classify this place as a restaurant on Google Maps...they need to! Do IT!! Thank you! this time in Vermont is different, the state is dealing with mass flooding events and lots of devestation, but eveyone was clam, cool, and just livin' their Vermont Lives. We are in town for a Wedding and after a 9 mile hike needed food and drink. Most places in Middlebury dont open until 4ish but lukcy for us the owners of the Crooked Ladle were open due to some unique cercumstances. We started with the cocktials, I had the Corpse Reviver #2 and my love had the green one...The Plant Lady. Now one of the owners was our bartender and she warned us the she is not the normal barkeep. But the drinks were great. Due to this unique situation and losing power the night before we only had a couple options - lite bites. We immediately ordered the Fries and also the Shrimp Noodle Salad. Ok kids, I'm going to say something, and its big...THESE ARE SOME OF THE BEST FRIES AND DIPPING SAUCE THAT WE HAVE EVER HAD, LIKE FOR REALS!!! They are really great and that sauce, lemony and extra horseradish YES!! HELL YES! Thank you! The shirmp salad was also delicious, tons of flavor and fresh ingredients. We cleared our plates and opted for a Key Lime Pie with raspberry coulis. Very good! We also decided to had a couple more drinks to celebrate our newly found favorite French Fries!! I had an espresso martini and my love the Undertaker - which they pineapple jalapeno mixture in house. It was perfect. HOW could it be finding such an amazing place to eat in VERMONT?? Well, its the people! Thank you to the owners of Crooked Ladle - I highly recommend you name the resturant The Crooked Ladle - thats it, no catering or truck... And to my love, thank you for inviting me to this wedding. We had only been dating months when you asked if I wanted to go with you, to be your + 1. Now I'm your forever + 1 and your my forever and always. thank you for seeing me, loving me, wanting me. This time we have shared together, finding each other, forging new adventures, finding all this amazing FOOD, meeting all these beautiful people has been the absolute most perfect and wonderful time of my life. I charish every moment of our love today, tomorrow, and beyond. I love you to the moon and back, and 5 more steps! Love, your Moon! KISS KISS”

“I love stopping in for a quick country- inspired meal, and the music (Saturdays in the summer?) And good company made the evening just a little special. Definitely eat out on the porch to get the most of this little country store/ restaurant. And don't forget to save time to take a look at the cool gift shop.”

“Lake Morey is a great public course. The greens were especially plush and green today! We played in a light rain and still thoroughly enjoyed the experience followed by great sandwiches and bevies. They have much more if you’re interested in stay & play golf packages.”

“This is a great little place to go to and get something quick with family or friends. They have great food and it's very delicious. I recommend after having lunch or dinner try one of their maple cremes. They are very yummy. Also, this establishment is cash only at this time. So check them out if you traveling thru the area.”

“Hill Farmstead is my all time favorite brewery! It’s well worth the drive and beautiful in every season, but especially late summer/early fall. Service is always excellent, even when it’s really busy and there’s a line out the door. I wish I lived closer so that I could visit more often.”

“Really enjoyed our third stay with Heather at the Village Inn of Woodstock - this place is THE BEST!!! It's like walking into a friend's home - warm, friendly and comfortable. Everything is classy, well kept and attention to detail is maintained throughout the entire Inn. Breakfast is always served with a smile and the freshest ingredients. The location of the Inn is close to the center of the village while also being close to a wonderfully redone East End park with a walking trail, picnic tables and places to meditate or just sit by the river. This time we had the pleasure of meeting Alice who was running the Inn and cooking while Heather was away. Alice and the rest of the staff did an AMAZING job taking care of all of us - they were so willing to do whatever we needed to make our stay a great one- customizing food and drinks for all guests and taking the time to socialize with us after all their work was done. Family in Vermont - a home away from home is how we feel about everyone and everything at this great place!!”

“Been missing Popeye's since moving up here from Connecticut last year, but the chicken here is nearly as tasty -- the spices are a little different -- and the pieces, especially the thighs, are HUGE in comparison. Jambalaya's very good, too. Only one complaint: They don't take payment in the restaurant area. You have to take a receipt to the convenience store cashiers, pay there and have it stamped before you can come back to Krispy Krunchy and get your food. Maybe when the worker shortage eases?”

“Loved the place! The food was good too. Their beers were interesting! Posting pictures of the place. Unfortunately was too hungry and forgot to take pictures of the food. But everything was homemade including the fries, and that was wicked awesome. The guy at the counter was very warm as well.”

“Just ate supper at North Hero House. My wife and twenty-six year old daughter literally had the best time. They had a delicious multi grain bowl and the other had a shrimp and lobster scampi too die for. I on the other hand had delicious dozen cold oysters for appetizer and for my entry.. a Pot Roast, veggies and mashed potatoes. My mother used to make this special for me. It was my birthday and the chef at North Hero House nailed. I couldn’t believe it was on the menu. Sooo delicious reminded me of when I was ten. I’m 65 today. The best chef and most amazing table service. Thanks again Jesse, Amber and Olivia.”

“Starters were yummy, main entrees mediocre. 3 of us came on (not realizing) trivia night, and there were some extremely obnoxious customers, seemingly overserved or, just plain obnoxious. Considering how open and small the space is, it was extremely disruptive and really made the vibe distasteful. Better suited behavior for a bar on a late weekend night but not a Monday or Tuesday evening.”

“Love the maple caramel corn puffs, I have an addition to them now.”

“Stopped in to get "To Go." The Corn Chowder was fantastic and the wheat rolls that came with it were delicious, as always. Unfortunately, they ran out of the chowder so I couldn't get as many bowls as I wanted/needed as a for my family. They are so worth the trip to "the country." You won't go wrong from the bread to bars to there are so many to name.”

“Went for Sunday brunch and it was absolutely excellent. Service was very friendly and quick, relaxing vibe and the Bloody Mary was *perfect* - also a big fan of the hot sauce wall. I highly recommend giving this new place a try!!”

“This is a cute little ice cream/gift shop in the middle of downtown Woodstock, Vermont! We stopped in quickly today to try their maple creemee - it was excellent! I’ve tried many maple creemees across Vermont and this was right up there with the best. If you’re wanting to try a great maple creemee, come here! They also have other ice cream, lots of maple and Vermont-themed snacks and treats, drink options, some clothing, and more gift items. It’s a really cute store and I’m happy we stopped in. I do have to say it seemed like the guy behind the counter was having a really bad day (not very friendly and was trying to rush us to pay and get out) but hey, at least the ice cream was very good. I’ll definitely be coming back purely because the creemee was so good!! Try this place out if you’re here in Woodstock and have a sweet tooth!”

“Super friendly staff. Food pretty good. Not the best Mexican I’ve had but decent and reasonably priced. The margaritas were expensive. $12 for the one off the menu but $17 for one I asked them to make (same size and with ingredients they had for other drinks). The cheesy rice was awesome. It tasted like Mac and cheese. Street corn also really good although messy to eat so I cut it off the cob. Burrito was large and good taste. Quesadilla also good. Meat tacos could have a bit more filling and the tortillas should be grilled. Overall worth the visit.”

“Great food at very reasonable prices! Nate and Lisa are off to a great start, I cant wait to go back to try more of the menu. Their meatball sub special was top notch and the blueberry crisp with the dollop of some of the best whipped cream I've had was the perfect finisher. I'll be going back soon for sure!”
