“Stopped in town on our way to Florida and hotel recommended this place. Definitely not disappointed by the "Fried Green Tomatoes with Crabmeat. (Suggested by our waiter) Beautiful to the eye and scrumptious to the belly. A bit spicy and just the way I like them. Fiance had the house burger that was cooked to perfection. Restaurant has a lot and street parking. Also handicap accessible. Great staff and warm atmosphere. Highly recommend this home town pub.”

“HTG is one of our favorite places. Great food with healthy and unhealthy options... in a good way. Friendly and fun staff. Great drinks with and a large brunch menu. Stockings for their regulars during Christmas. We love trivia night on Thursday!!!”

“Extremely friendly service and delicious food. I had the Kitchen Sink and pizza, both very well made. Also, their honey mustard is to die for. Free refills are a nice bonus. No complaints.”

“Yummy and usually a great selection of legit ice cream. However this store could really use a little bit of tlc. There is a table with a big crockpot that is probably a decade old. Old cold display shelves with books and papers. This place would be so popular if they just put a little effort into it. (however they don't seem to be hurting for business)”

“Small hole-in-the-wall outstanding Mexican food in the heart of downtown Fredericksburg. This is definitely worth a stop. Not a tremendous amount of space inside so it's sometimes difficult getting a table at prime hours. If the weather is pleasant you can sit outside. Staff is courteous, service is quick.”

“If you blink you'll miss it! Tried this place out with my best friend after years of ignoring it, or maybe I just couldn't find it. We had it all to ourselves but our food still took forever. It was worth it though. Great crab and roasted red pepper with gouda omelette and some crispy potatoes on the side. Service was fast and friendly. I'm sorry I've missed out all these years.”

“Gave Miam a try during this past snow day. Overall the food was tasty and they have some great options for broth and proteins. The portion sizes were good but I didn’t see a big difference between the adult and kid sizes but there was a $4.00 differences. I also thought $5.00 for one steam crispy chicken bun was a little pricey. The restaurant was clean and atmosphere inviting and overall staff was friendly and knowledgeable.”

“I have been enjoying the Thai food here for many years. It is the best in the area! The inside is newly remodeled the servers are sweet and very helpful. Anytime I have ever eaten here the service has been quick and the food comes out hot and delicious. You can customize how spicy you want your food. It is the best Thai food anywhere.”

“I pretty much grew up here. If your looking for a laid back time, and don't want to be around a ton of 20somethings away from home their first time, then this is the spot. Best hot dogs in Fredericksburg. Pool tables and darts. Live music and an open mic. Primarily locals. The owner is very sweet and full of southern hospitality. Awesome live music and lots of talented musicians.”

“In town for work and decided to try something local instead of fast food. For the most part the food was amazing except for the fish it seemed undercooked. All other food was good! I really want to give a shout out to our waiter David he was amazing. Drinks filled regularly. Checked on a perfect amount of times. He was super friendly and well just a great waiter. Thanks David!”

“The small cozy restaurant that serves good good and carries a decent selection of wine. We decided to check it out for restaurant week and got their pre fix menu with wine pairing. The food was very good and paired well with the wines they selected to serve with it. Being a small place, the place seemed a bit crowded and staff was having a hard time keeping up with the crowd resulting in a little slow service. However, they acknowledged the slow service by apologizing for delays and assured us it's better normally without the restaurant week rush on a Friday night. Great staff, great food, great wine!”

“I enjoyed visiting Mercantile restaurant. It was my first visit, meeting friends for brunch. The food was excellent. And although small the atmosphere was bright and friendly. It is on a main street on a hill, so parking is a bit of a challenge. But it is a short walk from parking areas.”

“Lovely bed and breakfast in downtown. We enjoyed the breakfast and the staff was very attentive. The history of the Inn was shared with us and we truly enjoyed our stay. We stayed in a smaller room and missed some of the amenities that you will find in a traditional hotel, but our stay was worth it.”

“A fabulous evening at the Curitiba listening to a Jazz ensemble. The evening began with piano and bass guitar, then vocals, trumpet and lastly a tenor sax player joined the ensemble. The Jazz session was in aid of The Table at St George's Church. A great cause. There is a wonderful atmosphere at the Curitiba and alcoholic drinks, sodas or tea, hot chocolate and coffees are served. There is food too. You can be seated at wooden tables, at a custom made bar top or on leather chairs and a couch. On Thursday nights there is a Beer and Poets Open Mic. We will be returning and would highly recommend the Art Bar to others”

“First time eating at Pimenta and I can’t waiting to go back. Never had Jamaican food but everything we tried was excellent. We started with Beef patties and jerk wings both great starters. The wings definitely had a kick to them and you could pick from either chicken, beef or veggie patties. We ordered three different dishes, Oxtail, chicken curry and jerk chicken. All great choices with delicious sides including mac & cheese, white rice , rice and peas, french fries and plantains. Never had oxtail but I think I found a new favorite dish. Atmosphere was bright, clean and had a island vibe. Service was top notch and portions sizes were plentiful. Looking forward to trying Pimenta again in the near future.”

“Went there for the first time today. This place is all food and service. If you're looking for chic ambiance, you're at the wrong place. Not saying I don't enjoy the simplistic nature of the decor because I do but I go to restaurants to eat good food and the Happy Clam has that in truckloads. I had the fried clams (a small mountain), hush puppies, coleslaw and.of.course, sweet tea. It was delicious on all counts. Our servers were quick, polite, and very easy going. The German Chocolate pie (that's right...pie) was superb and homemade. All in all...I will be going back, that's for sure.”

“We went to celebrate our anniversary and read reviews before we got there to know what to order. I had the lobster bisque which was delicious but very spicy. The prime rib was good and also the stuffed mushrooms. But the music was loud and awful- like you'd hear in a bar; random shuffle of 90's rock music. When we told the manager/owner, the answer we got was that young people said slow music made them sleepy....?? We were surprised young people could afford to go here- we saw three couples leave after glancing at the menu in the 1.5 hrs we were there.”
