Flint Hill Public House & Restaurant

Address: 675 Zachary Taylor Hwy, Flint Hill, VA 22627, USA

Restaurant

“This was our second time staying at Flint Hill. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are modern and spacious. We were the only guests for the night! We were given a delicious bottle of wine to enjoy when we arrived, which was such a nice touch. The beda are really comfortable and I loved the homey feel created by the common area in the middle of all the rooms. My only complaint was in the cleanliness of the room. It was mostly perfect, but i found hair on the wall in the shower, and the coffee table was pretty dusty. Both of those aren't huge complaints, I realize, but are minute details that take a moment for housekeeping to address. Thanks for a lovely stay, Flint Hill, we'll be back!”

Cafe Restaurant

“Before & After is such a wonderful and quaint coffee shop. My husband and I frequented this coffee shop while on our honeymoon at Skyland. The lattes were wonderful, especially the honeysuckle! We’ve tried their breakfast (highly recommend their quiche) and their sandwiches - all of which were fantastic. The employees are incredibly kind as well! If you’re anywhere near this area, we highly recommend this coffee shop!”

Patty O’s Cafe and Bakery

Address: 389 Main St, Washington, VA 22747, USA

Restaurant

“Tonight was my first night visiting the cafe and it is every thing I expected and more. It’s beautiful, inside and out! It has the same feeling of luxury and service you get when entering the Inn but is more casual, warm and inviting as well as true to the heritage of Rappahannock county and France! I was surprised to hear country music but was so impressed and proud as well. I’m a bit of a hybrid with deep family roots in the county but grew up in Fairfax. Chef Patrick hit a home run with this place and I’m so excited for their success. It fills in all the gaps of what’s missing (fantastic menu of food/wine/martinis in a cozy/classy setting with great music/atmosphere, baked goods and coffee at a reasonable price) and checks all the boxes of greatness. I can’t wait to go back…a lot. 😊 Thank you so much to the bar staff in particular for such a welcoming and hospitable evening. They are true professionals while being genuine and show passion for what they do and who they represent.”

“A second visit to @threeblacksmiths confirms the first . Absolutely one of the better dining experiences you can find in our area . I would even say it’s well worth traveling for! The very nature of it is wonderful. A small comfortable and beautiful dining room built around the Kitchen. Everyone is presenting your dishes so it’s intimate. The food Itself is driven by local sourcing . And perfect cookery to make it shine ! Those that know me know that I look for that magic quotient in the people and it’s here in a big way . Everyone is warm and genuine. Can’t really think of a more perfect evening than one here .”

Burgers N Things

Address: 12000 Lee Hwy, Sperryville, VA 22740, USA

Restaurant

“WICKED burger ! I've had a hankering for a great burger for a year. Not the kind that sits on the bun like a baseball. The juicy flat type that fits on a normal burger bun without falling apart. I hit the jackpot! I was out for early spring ride on my bike and finally found a parking space in front of Burger N Things. I found out they not only have beef burger but also bison burger. In fact I had choice of regular chuck, black aegis, or bison. I had the bison. YUM. Lettuce and tomato all fresh. Bun fresh. The fires were a bit oily for my taste. Hence a score of 4. I'll be back for burger. Next time I'll bring my own bottle ketchup and Coke ZERO. Toughest challenge is finding parking space. Easting is outside on couple of picnic tables. Awesome place otherwise. Certainly not just a hot dog stand.”

Rappahannock Pizza Kitchen (RPK)

“OMG the heirloom tomatoes on our pizza were so packed with fresh flavour. Alfredo sauce was bomb. Super casual dining with upscale taste and quality. Will definitely return. Wow. So good.”

“Food was consistently good. They offer a nice variety. It is a very dated atmosphere, but it kind of fits the area. Service was never lacking. They have a decent selection of craft beer for what the place is. We will definitely return on our trip to Old Rag next year.”

Tula's Restaurant and Bar

Address: 311 Gay St, Washington, VA 22747, USA

Glen Gordon Manor

Address: 1482 Zachary Taylor Hwy, Huntly, VA 22640, USA

Restaurant

“My husband and I stayed here one night and had the most wonderful experience. The people are so friendly. The house and grounds are Beautiful! The food: dinner and breakfast, were delicious. The pool is so pretty and the mountains in the background make it spectacular. There are lots of places to hang out in the house and socialize if you are coming with friends. There are 2 wineries within 5 minutes and many many more a short distance away. And at the end of the trip, my husband tells me he never wants to stay at another place again because nothing will be as nice as this. We’ve been all over VA, MD, DC, PA, NY staying at different B&Bs but none compare to this place. It’s truly exceptional. I was having sensory overload with the beauty of it all. I’m so happy to have found this place to get away.”

The Blue Door Kitchen and Inn

“Great find in northern Virginia. The space is charming, very inviting with a beautiful patio/garden, and a homey yet romantic feeling to it. The staff is very helpful and friendly. “The drive to Griffin Tavern is guaranteed to please anyone. It is some of the prettiest countryside in Virginia. The servers are always pleasant. The food is decent and comes to the table nice and hot. I have been a few times. I can't quite put it together but something puts me off which is why I give four stars. I apologize for being vague, i just cannot figure it out.”

“This pleasant little restaurant will take you to that special rural place and has a unique charm that is NOT to miss!!”

Hinson Ford Cider & Mead

Address: 379 Hinsons Ford Rd, Amissville, VA 20106, USA

Restaurant

“Great place. My wife found it and we decided to visit on our anniversary. They offer a great selection of ciders and meads, hard to pick a favorite. The Bochet was a very good mead, excellent for sipping on a cold winter night. The ciders are dry, so not super sweet, so if sweet is your thing, they may not be your favorite. But if you like a dry cider, you'll have a tough time finding any better. We went ahead and got flights of them all. Couldn't afford a bottle of each, so decided on taking home a bottle of Ruby and Bochet this time. As for the place itself, it is very nice. A cozy little place, and the owners are very friendly. We had a great time chatting with them. Will definitely be back!”
