“My husband has been chomping at the bit to go here and we decided after not finding anything on the waterfront to go back into downtown and give this place a try...So glad we did. We were lucky and got a spot on the street in front - parking limited in the small space in front of the restaurant. Walking in - it was gorgeous. We were seated right away and got an appetizer & drinks ordered right away. A Thai iced Tea & (2) Shirley Temples. We ordered the combination platter for our appetizer- the dipping sauces & everything but the tofu pieces was yummy. For our main courses we ordered Spicy Shrimp (3 on spicy scale of 1-5) with broccoli & side of white rice, Mango Chicken Special (2) with side of white rice & Lettuce Wraps (2). We didn’t have to wait long before everything was delivered and we were digging in. Spicy for a 2 but 3 was doable. Great flavor on everything. Barely had room but had to try dessert. We split a banana foster. So glad we did split and give it a try. Overall I’m super impressed and look forward to bringing out of town guests to this place when they are visiting. Wish it didn’t take us so long to try it out...”

“Been here for lunch, happy hour, and dinner... Always pretty good. Service is good, staff is generally personable, and good is fairly unique in its take on traditional pub food. Lots of their own beer and wine to choose from along with other kombucha options, etc. Went for brunch for the first time and it was good! Nothing super fancy, but the good was all done the way it should. The gravy for biscuits and country fried steak is really nice. No fancy bloody Mary bar or whatever, but they'll make one with your mimosas if you want. Killer outside space in warmer months. Really great event room available. Be ready for the one oddity in that you have to order at a register near the bar... Then they'll bring food to you.”

“This is my favorite restaurant in Vancouver! They consistently have, hands down, the best, most beautiful, and unique cocktails I've had anywhere. The prices are extremely reasonable, especially if you go for happy hour (which I usually do). Everything on their happy hour menu is amazing. My personal favorite is the chicken tenders with homemade BBQ sauce and honey butter. The place always looks good and the staff are very nice. I've put off writing this review, because I wanted to keep this place to myself, but it's already getting very popular.”

“Went to dinner at Joe's in Vancouver WA last night for my son's birthday celebration. Even through we had a reservation for 5 PM our party of 6 was held in the lobby entrance for 10 minutes as our table was not ready and they did not have enough servers in house yet? Once seated our server was attentive and helpful. Our food and drinks did arrive promptly. But my order for one was incomplete and warm and too hot... I ordered the included pictured item. The stuffed shrimp were to hot and the rest was just warm. Also there was no rice on the plate. I also ordered a cluster (side) of clams. The clams were just warm had no extra flavor and no butter. Everyone that had salmon liked it a lot but not the other foods on their plate. So - I don't think I will go back and try them again.”

“Super friendly service! Our waiter was very attentive! The food was excellent! Their menu selection is the perfect size, and I liked the modern twist on traditional Mexican food. Both our entrees felt fresh, not greasy or overly cheesy like alot of other Mexican restaurants I've been to. I really appreciated the portion size of my meal (and my wife/ kid's as well). “This is very good 'cue folks! I tried the Texas Trinity of ribs, brisket and sausage with mac 'n cheese and jalapeno pintos on the side. The brisket was so tender and juicy, the sausage had great flavor and snap, and the ribs were nice and firm but fell off the bone. The mac was a bit dry and a rather small portion. The beans were peppery, earthy and delicious. I'll be back for sure to try more offerings.”

But there is never a crowd, and it's a bit unsettling to sit there alone in a restaurant. Ambiance is lacking. It needs more 'warmth' like carpet or better furniture. It needs something authentic going on (belly dancer on weekend?) Better wine selection? Where's the dude from TV that helps out restaurants- he might have the answer. It just needs a tweak to turn it into a hidden gem in downtown Vancouver.... not just a place barely surviving, but an actual destination! The food is worth the trip tho!!!”
