“I've visited here a few times. Always pleased. The meals know longer come with drinks .The portion of fries seem to be smaller than usual.”

“The Pancake Cafe was fine for what it is; a chain breakfast restaurant. The service was fine but not extraordinary, and the food was the same. I will say this, though. You definitely get your money's worth; the portion sizes were HUGE! I ordered a five egg omelette as my meal with no intention of having anything else, only to find out that it came with hash browns and three full size pancakes. The only real complaint I have is regarding the cleanliness; it's evident from little things (like the dirt and crumbs in the bottom of the sugar caddy or the musty smell of the carpet, particularly near the restrooms) that attention to detail is not a priority. Other than that, our visit was fine. I'd say we'd be back, but we're in town from Georgia visiting family, so that's unlikely.”

“I've got a weird love for Domino's, I always have, this location is the best around. Walked in today in a pinch, and Jazz was super sweet and really helpful, double her pay. Big ups, love what you guys do.”

“Great place to grab a quick coffee. The butter pecan is the best (pictured). I get black with the flavor and that’s sweet enough. Donuts are usually slim pickings on the weekends after 10am. Parking can be a headache at this location since the drive thru line runs into the spaces to park. Service is speedy overall.”

“Most authentic pad Thai I have found in Madison. Absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for take out, delivery, or a small dine in. Not really a place to take large groups but it's delicious food”

“Tried the new version of MadTown Chicken N Fish. The fried chicken was very good and the perch was also good. It took a little while for the food, but I don't mind because they were preparing it fresh.”

“Original pancake house makes food extremely well and fresh. The food is always cooked perfectly, but, like a number of Madison restaurants, does not believe in adding salt or pepper to food. It's a shame since everything really is cooked so well and fresh. The jams and butter from there are top rate. I'm pretty sure they're made in house, but if not they're still really great. Atmosphere is a bit loud since it's frequently packed, bathrooms are clean, service is good, and the place is CASH ONLY. Just something to be aware of.”

“They have a wide variety of pizza to buy by the slice. I go for lunch every so often and there is never a long wait. It's well priced and very good Pizza. I prefer their Mac and cheese pizza. They have a bar for dinner and have many booths open for people to sit in. it's a nice quick place to grab a slice or two of pizza.”

“Out of all the McDonald's I've been to, the french fries at this one were superior. Hot and fresh with the perfect crispness!”

“Service can be hit or miss, but the food is great! They do a very good job, it's a lovely dinner. Some nights are exceptional with great service. Others are very acceptable, but not at the same level. I've liked anything I've tried, but few were truly beyond the norm. Very good steak dinner.”

“Sandwich tasted okay. I didn't hate it. However, I felt it was really skimpy. I'm a light eater and it didn't fill me up. The price was ridiculous for such a minute portion of meat and veggies. Did taste better than the other famous sub shop.”

“Unique pizza and very good. We had the couch potato, Mac Daddy, and breakfast pie. The Mac Daddy is fantastic. The breakfast pie isn't like any other breakfast pizza I've had before. It's more like putting an omelette or skillet on a pizza. Atmosphere is very relaxed. The venue seemed to be small but there may have been more seating upstairs. They also clearly do a lot of take out and delivery.”

“I've ridden bike and commuted past this place for decades and never stopped in. But I stopped in last week with a couple friends familiar with it. I shouldn't have waited so long. Wait staff was prompt and polite. Food was prepared quickly. We ordered a couple burgers and a Reuben. All prepared well. Burgers had a nice bite one gets from a nice hot grill. A very nice lunch. Only thing I'd point out is that seats fill up. Stop in either a little early for lunch or come a little later. Seems like lots of people know about this place.”

“Food was good, but they were understaffed for the expected crowds with a convention in town. Other than that, nice little hotel bar, very clean. If you aren't from Wisconsin, get the Spotted Cow.”

“Went to Madison to take our son out for a fish fry. After reading the reviews for the Laurel Tavern, we decided to give it a try. We were happy with our choice! The fish fry was good and the atmosphere was fun! Many beer choices, good wait staff. Also tried their cheese curds which were great. And their hash browns that came with the fish fry were to die for! Definitely would go back.”

“We were sitting on the deck, listening to music. Having an excellent Chardonnay and delicious stuffed mushroom caps, and being served by the delightful Jessica. A storm arrived suddenly and severely. The staff took care of everyone, found us all tables, and brought our uneaten food in and made sure we were taken care of, all very calmly. This has always been a fantastic place with excellent food, and last night confirmed that.”

“Stopped here on the way to Henry Villas Zoo with my 4 year old daughter for some lunch on our Daddy Daughter Date Day! Was surprised just how good the food was...I had a bacon cheeseburger with all the fixings on it and it was delicious! My little princess had a hot dog with french fries, that she gave two thumbs up. Now we didn't have any ice cream, but this is clearly the place to stop. We will be back another nice summer day for a sweet treat! We ate outside, clean atmosphere, friendly staff, and on and on! It is a little on the pricey side, but worth what you get! Check this place out and you will be happy you did!”

“I should start by saying that the main attraction of this restaurant is beer, which is something that I do not drink at all. Therefore, please understand that my review is based solely on the food that I had and not on the selection of beers or their taste. For those who like beer, check this place out to see if it is to your liking. The interior of this place is unique and intriguing. I thought that the decorations created an atmosphere where people can relax and enjoy a good conversation over a meal and some drinks. In particular, the area behind the counter is quite nice since there is a lot of natural light coming in. I am sure that on a sunny day, that spot will be particularly eye catching. I did not order much, just the jambalaya. This was my first time eating jambalaya so I have nothing to compare it too, but I thought it was OK. Not saying that it was bad, but I was expecting more synergy of flavors in a dish that has so many different ingredients. Yet, that was not really the case. Each ingredient retained its own flavor, but did not really share it with everything else on the plate. Even the sauce felt like a different item on the plate rather than being something that ties everything together. Perhaps this is the nature of the jambalaya and not of the restaurants food. Either way, cannot say that I was too impressed with my dish.”

“Excellent place for people of all culinary dispositions to enjoy a meal or if short on time grab-and-go. They have a selection of bowls/salads with protein options or you can create your own. I tried the paneer bowl with lentil meatballs, so delicious.”

“We discovered this place during the Monroe St. chocolate walk and I was very impressed! The Asian lunch "tacos" we're delicious and the fries were thin and crispy, just the way I like it. I also love the bar design.”

“Excellent pizza! The crust is amazing, toppings divine. Teens ordered new Buffalo and found it too salty. Decor funky and fun. Service was efficient. Left off one star due to two different staff delivering our glasses holding on to the rim of the glass. Your hands should never go where my lips are supposed to. Yucky!”

“This place was delicious! I'm certainly not claiming that it tasted exactly like real Hawaiian poke but if you're looking for something fresh and delicious then this is definitely it. Bonus points for having a separate compost, recycle, and trash bin with help for what to put in each. We will be back!”

“Eclectic restaurant with a lively crowd but you can easily carry on conversation. We did choose to make an Open Table reservation, not knowing how busy (or big) they were. We had a Sunday breakfast reservation for 2 and were immediately seated. Outdoor and indoor seating is available. Coffee was top notch. I had the smoked salmon/poached eggs Benedict over English muffins. The portion was small for the price. Also, the salmon placed on the muffin was right from the refrigerator which just didn't set right in my mind. However my spouse's asparagus/spinach omelette was generous and creamy tasty. Would come back.”
