“Was so pleasantly surprised by this place when my boyfriend and I ordered delivery from them on a whim! They got to our place SO QUICKLY and the food was pretty great. I am in love with their pupusas and yucca with pork (best pork ever). My boyfriend, on two separate occasions has ordered a garlic shrimp dish and a super chimichanga burrito. The shrimp dish was really flavorful but the burrito was pretty soggy and low on flavor. Overall, a solid place to get good food!”

“A really great spot. Super tasty food, friendly and helpful staff, and reasonable prices. Looks like it's going to be our new neighborhood haunt :)”

“Love the Mediterranean Plate. Great falafel and tabouli! I'm told the black bean burgers are great but I've never got past the Mediterranean Plate! And the fresh squeezed OJ is the real deal too.”

“Historic building enhances the entire experience. Restaurant Week $20 lunch was enjoyed by all and even our group's grump had to admit it was good value. Definitely worth a visit especially with out_of-town guests and architecture fans. Wheelchair accessible via street-level door leading into a basement tunnel to a smallish elevator. Cool! Super-convenient venue for romantic dinner or any type of larger event requiring a stage and/or dance floor. Lovely courtyard garden too. Parking for non-members is $10 and we were glad we paid up and were able to relax and enjoy our visit unpressured by need to feed the meter. Great place. No, I am not a member or even a regular, but I would if my budget permitted and if I didn't live only a few blocks away. ,”

“A mini Hearst Castle. Gorgeous building with great staff. It's like an extension of your own living room. Most of the other members are 70+ but it's never so crowded that you can't do you own thing. Amazing and totally worth the membership fees.”

“A small shop which was probably a parking attendant booth in its previous life. Because of its small size, I believe that most of the food is prepare elsewhere and heated and/or assembled here at the shop. That said, my meat burrito was fairly tasty and quite large. Because I asked for less sauce, it remained crispy a little longer.”

“Fried chicken sandwich is amazing. Super flavorful and crispy, and the spicy one is definitely a little better since it packs more flavor and isn't too spicy. There is a good amount of seating and it's a nice chic setting. The curly fries are also quite good although for 2.5 may not be worth it. Would recommend overall though!”

“As a vegan, it can be hard to find Mexican food out and about. There are a few options in Berkeley, but this is the only one I've found that also has vegan cheese and sour cream. But the really impressive part: they have a dedicated vegan work station where only vegan food is made, which greatly reduces chance of cross contamination. I had the vegan California burrito and it was absolutely delicious. I came back less than a week later!”

“I ordered katsu curry with fried egg and extra sauce, spicy. I got exactly what I ordered. Order came fast and it was pretty spicy. Nothing fancy and satisfying. Good and polite service.”

“Had a great burger, garlic fries, and a beer. Fun environment on campus. Busy on a Sunday for dinner. Sports on big screens. Easy parking (1 hour free) in a nearby ramp. I'd definitely go back.”

“This place was our FAVORITE spot in Berkeley years ago. Super chill vibe and awesome outdoor area. The BLTA with the fresh bread from next door was amazing. A few years back it burns down. Huge bummer. Last week noticed they reopened! Sadly, it is not at all the same. Very hipster vibe, terrible seating layout and the shuffleboard table totally blocks a few tables making it awkward to use. They also removed my favorite menu item so that's lame too. I'd still eat here if I happened to be in the area but we used to take a trip to Berkeley just for Raleigh's. Not good enough for that anymore, sadly.”

“First time ordering..and I googled up "sushi berkeley" and wanted reasonably priced yet tasty. I ordered two chicken bento with California and a specialty roll all for $42. (Dinner) Portions are generous and my daughter who is picky about her California Roll, said "This place is good" That is a seal of approval. While cosmetically the place is not appealing compared to other sushi restaurants, I was seeking cheap. Tasty. And I received what I wanted. The prices are extremely good for the quality, service and demographics for the area. Highly recommended!”

“Spot on what i expected and wanted from one of Berkeley's landmark restaurants. If you're from around here, you've been here. The bread is thick, soft and satisfying. Salads feels good and bigger than your head. Come and eat. Walk out feeling satisfied in your belly and healthier overall.”

“I am never let down when I visit Sliver. Their pizza is best this side of California, in my opinion. The new location is quite nice and so much more space to sit and eat. I LOVE IT!”

“Delicious food. Plenty of room to sit. They even had vegetarian options and you can customize your order to be vegetarian. Great food. The fried tofu were a tad spicy but that's how I like it!”

“I usually don't give review but this one is too good. I've been on campus for 2 years, and I go there twice a week. I could go just for the french fries, the best in Berkeley, but all the food is amazing. Also super friendly I just wish their doggy bag were not in plastic - eat your meal there!”

“Best pizza for the price. Cheap, filling, and easy. The ambiance is like the inside of a frat house party, only it doesn't smell like natty light. This place is like if pizza was fast food. I love it.”

“I loved the cheesesteak. The default combination of included ingredients and condiments is great. Multiple sauces and toppings available free of charge. Small venue with just one table. Often a line outside. Takes about 5 minutes to prepare an order.”

“I always consistently have great poke bowls here. They are only slightly expensive, but it's worth it because they give great portions and are definitely not stingy on the fish. The sauces taste great too. Also, the people who work there, mostly students it seems, are always friendly and polite. Way to represent our school well!! Go Bears!”

“I ordered on their website and loved the ease of Google Pay and placing the order. I was disappointed to see that I did not receive a leg for fried chicken-instead two thighs for $4. The pizza (small) for being priced at $12 and some change was not bad, but I have frequented other local spots that tasted the same and priced slightly less. They are open longer than other places which helps a hungry soul like myself- but that is the major benefit.”

“I've been watching this place ever since notice on window earlier this year a quick under five minutes drive from home to Rush Bowls. Brand new place without any seats either take-out or stand up only. However, there's a few sidewalk chair out front. You've two choices of bowl (one size only) or smoothie 24oz. Best part is they can convert your bowl to smoothie if you like. Plethora of toppings will garnish bowl even more, but not necessary. The ladies are friendly to stop what they're doing and answer your question. I had the Dragon Bowl with FF milk by default, but you do have other options like almond for extra dollar. Not overly sweet or any artificial color left on tongue, it's packed with nutrients as bowl will get your taste buds going in no time. Coupon for a dollar off next visit or 10% in-store use, but can't combined them together.”

“I love this place! Favorite diner in all of East Bay. Brick, wood, and candelabra decor. Full hearty meals, and friendly service. Highly recommend.”
