“Loved this place! Such a comfy and cozy environment with friendly staff. They had a very large variety of vegan options which was great for me BUT I do think they add honey to vegan options so I will probably have to ask next time to avoid it. The apple cardamom jam says vegan but tastes exactly like honey so I'll have to ask more about the ingredients on vegan things next time but The baklava was absolutely amazing and the oat milk latte I still crave! Love that proceeds go to refugee women. Highly recommend!”

“If you want good sushi, this place has it. I can only speak to the takeout given the circumstances but the food is always really tasty and good quality as well as ready quickly. I've also had their pork katsu and enjoyed that a lot too. I haven't sampled their whole menu but this is our go-to given its quality and proximity. Would definitely recommend. “Food quality was FANTASTIC. Will be returning to try some noodles dishes and would recommend would. Over all, nice atmosphere and the service was on par with the quality of the food. The sampler we had was so good I wish we got two. Not because of the portion size but because everything on it was that tasty. The sauces paired well with corresponding sample and the beef rib soup I ordered was flavorful. I am not one for presentation, I am all about quality, but I would say that the dishes were brought to the table in a picturesque manner (I wish I grabbed a shot before digging in). We were offered their “signature lavender lemonade”, which again was picturesque, and would have tasted nice with some alcohol. Not that it tasted bad, my wife and I just don’t drink a lot of sweet drinks. This place is a must try for the local New Haven area.”

“We arrivedxaround 630 p.m. were greeted warmly by the hostess. She immediately let us to the table of our choice. Within minutes we were greeted by our server . he introduced himself and took our drink order and then our meal order we ordered the French onion soup & it was delicious and delivered us in less than 10 minutes my. Fried scallop& clam strips was a high pile on top of a generous portion of French fries coleslaw and condiments. my wives meal which was drunken clams was large and delicious . neither of us finished our portions highly recommend coming here one of east havens hidden gems”

“I gave it five stars because it deserves it. The chicken sandwich is so good I had three in a week & a half. My only gripe, the only thing. They only give you three ketchup packets. The massive amount of fries they give you required at minimum five ketchup packets. But, the sandwich is 5 star. Haven Hot flavor is the best. Also, don’t call Hot Haven, that’s a yoga studio. Found that out when I tried to order a chicken sandwich over the phone from them.”

“Cute little Asian shop with very reasonable prices. Everything is organized with care with hand labeled signs and process. The selection is limited, but there are a wide range of spices, noodles, and sauces available, along with some home kitchen/bath items, and very basic produce. The Korean lady running the shop is very kind and reminds me a bit of my mother in law. Haven't had the famous bimbimbop but plan on coming back for it some time soon. I definitely feel good shopping here to support local business, especially during covid times”

“Entrees: Salad with blackened chicken,, quesadillas, steak tacos and chicken burritos. Everything was wonderfully presented and extremely tasty. The artwork is stunning, beautiful and quite evocative - without being overwhelming. We were there for lunch and Karen was EXTREMELY accommodating. She was delightful! I am from Colorado and have eaten a lot of Mexican food in my life. I love the cuisine and the culture. I really enjoyed it at La Catrina: the atmosphere, the food and the warmness of the staff. (The mild, red salsa was particularly yummy :-)”
