“New place opened up recently. Ordered the yellow rice and chicken wings with an empanadilla on the side and everything tasted good. The rice was soft, fluffy and very flavorful. The empanadilla was a good size and the meat was very juicy and loaded with flavor. Interior is bright and clean, the staff was very polite and informative. Definitely worth trying out and supporting small business, especially new ones starting out. I’ll definitely be going back and trying out their other options. They also have a selection of desserts. It’s new so expect options to be limited until they’re established so go with an open mind. Hope this helps.”

“I love the food. Prices are fair. Service seems to always mess up something. Just small things. Examples are: they gave me my coffee with the cream on the side but the coffee cup was so full, couldn't put the cream in. Or the banana nut bread that I ordered warmed, was cold. Or I ordered the sausage egg cheddar cheese sandwich and ordered no meat. And the sandwich still comes with the sausage. Again the help is very pleasant but it seems like almost every time small mistakes are made. I think it's just that they're so busy. But would still recommend the restaurant”

“Blue State Coffee is a small and central cafe in New Haven. I came here with my wife to get a take away coffee. We both ordered a Cappuccino and they offer it with different types of milk. Even though the service was not especially friendly it came quick and the coffee was good. I liked the glassware coffee extractor as decoration while you wait for your coffee. They have some small tables where you will find lots of students working with their laptops or chatting. All in all it's a nice atmosphere and one can get good coffee in the medium price segment and experience of students life style around Yale University.”

“I went to this restaurant last night for the first time. We arrived shortly before closing and we were welcomed in , in spite of the time. Usually staff are perturbed near closing and treat you rudely but we were pleasantly surprised by our very nice waitress named PAULA. Yes, the décor IS dated but I was surprised how clean it was. I would prefer eating in a room without dust collectors hanging over our heads but I was easily comforted by the attention given to our food. Salad was FRESH. Arugala salad was prepared carefully.Not a speck of soggy or rotten pieces. Piping hot fried mozzarella served with sauce on the side so it stayed crunchy. I would LOVE to go back but we have just one reservation in doing so and it is a very minor concern but still heavy on my mind. The sign out front needs serious attention. I am embarrassed to take my parents there. I am asking you PLEASE do your sign some justice. Hope to visit again soon”
