“My friends and I came here for brunch. It was a slow start but the dj had us vibing the entire time! Food was bomb! It took a while to come out but when it did, it was right on time!!! Delicious to the last bite! Coming here was for a special occasion so Idk if I would make my way to this side of town again but if invited I would know what to expect! Great food, good vibes and friendly service! There were a lot of reserved signs on empty seats but they did eventually fill up and on our way out we didn’t want to leave because the music was hitting! I would recommend this place to anyone in the area and they get 5 stars for good energy and the chicken and waffles! Thank you”

“Excellent service & reasonably priced! I started with a peach and mango margarita that was flavorful! Then, I ordered a shrimp burrito bowl. The shrimp were so delicious and big. However, there could have been slightly more shrimp. Lastly, the ice cream was a great compliment to the flan.”

“I met up with my friend and his son at honeymoon for lunch one Saturday since I’ve been hearing a lot of buzz about this place. They don’t really have waiter there. You can make an order and pay in the front or use their QR code. We ordered a good amount of food. Everything was great to be honest. I was a big fan of whole chicken and the Brussel sprouts. I believe the food is responsible priced. We stay there for like 2 hours. The venue inside is not that big but they also have seating outside. Staff were friendly. I definitely recommend.”

“Excellent spot for breakfast (and I’m sure other meals too!). Have visited twice and both breakfasts have been excellent. Huevos rancheros are my favorite menu item so far.”

“Staff super friendly, greet and thank customers coming through the door - so far seems consistent with the best Starbucks locations out there. Ordered drink through the app and everything went smoothly and on time. The space is great: intentional lighting, high ceilings with plenty of windows and ample seating for busier periods, very clean. Only gripe is that there is very limited space outside for short-term (15-30 minutes) parking without going into the Whole Foods garage. Hopefully there are plans to make the street parking more accessible to patrons. This review happened within the location’s first 2 weeks of being open; Hope they’re able to sustain level of service and atmosphere over time!”

“Excellent service, a good spot for quick take out or dining in. The menu is pretty large so there are good options to choose from. I wouldn't say I was blown away by any dish I tried but I wasn't disappointed in any either. It hits right in the middle, a good balance with great service.”

“I am impressed with the overall quality, portion size & taste of the food. This spot also has been nothing but sweet vibes any time I have visited. And, that Gidi Burger?! Hmm..the way I devour it! I highly recommend giving this place a shot. You won’t regret it!”

“The pizza tasted good. Not the best but still tasty. They sliced the pizza into four slices which made for very big slices and that was awkward to eat. The basil flavor was strong which I liked. The ‘black char’ from baking was at the bottom of the crust and I personally don’t like that. The mozzarella sticks were tiny for the price but they were tasty and the marinara sauce was good too”

“This is my favorite lounge in the city. The owners are so inviting and friendly. The bar selections are top notch. The staff is attentive and kind. The drinks are unique and delicious. The food is out of this world and the menu is curated for special events. The layout and decor gives a moody, relaxed vibe, which is perfect for a little hookah and chill. There are TV’s everywhere, so a sport lovers dream. This is also an event space so it’s cool to see the different parties they host. All around, chefs kiss.”

“I’m leaving a 3 stars review based on the customer service and kindness of the staff, especially the bartender Ni, she was awesome. The crabs are way overpriced and they are selling medium size for jumbos, and the taste is just ok. I ordered 1/2 Dz crabs, 1 crab Mac & cheese, and 2 drinks for $149. So this place is selling crabs for nearly $200 a dozen which is absurd for the size. I eat crabs (Bethesda crab house) all the time, so I am use to paying at the least about $135 a dz for large and trust me, they are large. If I do go back to Chesapeake it’ll be solely for the bar.”

“The food was amazing but the service was just as stupendous! The vibrant energy and the great people make coming back a must. The lamb chops were a steal and so delicious with a sauce that compliments them so well! The bartenders are the best and the house frozen drinks were to die for! The cohesiveness of the staff is exhilarating and you can tell they are family. Everything about this restaurant makes it a must try and make yourself a regular! Definitely a DC treasure and a must try! This establishment deserves a 1,000,000 out of 10 ! Run don't walk to this place!!!”

“I recently visited Tatte Bakery on 14th St in Washington, DC, and had an absolutely delightful experience. Despite being a chain, Tatte Bakery truly stands out with its fresh and delicious food. Every item I tried tasted as if it had just been prepared, with high-quality ingredients and a keen attention to detail. The bakery's location is excellent, nestled right at the heart of the lively U St and 14th St intersection. The vibrant atmosphere of this bustling area is perfectly complemented by Tatte's wonderful seating arrangements. Whether you're looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a quiet breakfast or a lively place to people-watch while sipping on your coffee, Tatte provides the perfect setting.”

“The BEST tacos, quesadillas and burritos across the dmv. Everything is so fresh, you can really taste the quality. This place is inexpensive and easily makes up for the mediocre Mexican food in DC”

“This place is amazing. The owner by himself welcomed and seat us to dinner reservation. It has 2 levels of dining room and bars with executive private one. It's so eloquent! All the service people were amazing. They check you from time to time. We ordered Farmstead Chicken. It's tasty and yummy!! Shortly after a crowed of 30 people filled the house and all the music and Friday Vibe was stunning. After we ate our dinner we moved to the upper bar and bar tenders were amazing. Knowledgeable to serve us what we sought. Mr. Dave deserves all the positive compliments and we wish him continued success!!”

“Went on a Sunday evening and it was very empty and I enjoyed it. We sat downstairs and ordered food and drinks. The bar tender was very kind and tentative. The food was good as well!”

“I was excited to try St James with a friend based on a recommendation. The staff were very nice and welcoming and recommended a few things for us to try. We got the jerk wings, beef roti wrap ( I don't recall the name) and my friend got the oxtails bowl. The jerk wings were okay but more oven baked than grilled or anything else, it was slightly disappointing. The roti wrap was tasty enough but I feel like it could have been better seasoned as well. However it's a good sized meal. My friend enjoyed her oxtails meal but also had the same comment on flavor. Overall I may go back to try other things on the menu. It's worth checking out if you are in the area.”

“Calling all pizza lovers! This place is a hidden gem! If you're tired of boring, greasy slices, Slice & Pie is about to change your life. Their pizza is next-level delicious, with a quality you won't find everywhere, and all at a seriously reasonable price. These slices are DAMN near perfect – the crust is crunchy perfection, and the cheese is the perfect amount of gooey goodness. Bonus points for: N.Y. Cheese, Burrata, Pepperoni, Mushroom Truffle Slices”

“Absolutely loved my experience at this spot! The service was top-notch; every staff member was attentive and genuinely friendly, making us feel truly special. The atmosphere is just as fantastic, with a cozy, welcoming vibe that's perfect for any occasion. Whether you're here for a quick drink or a full meal, you're in for a great time. Highly recommend!”

“I absolutely love it here! I started coming when they first opened and haven’t been able to stay away. The food is delicious; great happy hour; phenomenal, creative cocktail selection; and OUTSTANDING at any time of day. I’ve been in the afternoons to sit outside with a glass of wine or shared a drink for a date inside at the bar. If you’re at the bar, Josias will treat you right; one of the best bartenders in DC. Highly recommend”

“This is the best pizza I've had in a LONG time! It's like that old school Pizza Hut pan pizza, back when they had all-you-can-eat buffets and their pizza actually tasted good. I got the UPC sampler and two pizzas: The Flag and The Tiger King. The crust is just the right amount of crunchy/chewy, with an edge of crispy, salty cheese. Everything was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Those thick-cut pepperoni cups add a lovely texture. And let me tell you, that pizza is dense and filling! With 4 slices in a half-size, it lasted me 3 meals. This is for sure my new favorite pizza place in the DMV. I got takeout and the pick up made it truly feel underground because there's no storefront for DC (yet). I had to text the number on the website because I couldn't find it. Immediately got a reply with instructions to go inside a nearby sports bar. The hostess sent me to a woman in a hoodie sitting at a high top table near the bar (who looked like any other patron there for a meal, with food and drink in front of her). She took my name, disappeared for a minute, and came back with all my food packed up to go. Felt weird, but totally worth it for that delicious food!”

“This place has the best wings in town no lie!! My favorite is the hot wings. The BBQ wings are good along with the honey lemon pepper. But Hot Wings on a Friday/Saturday night after a good time at the club this is the place to be. The shrimp basket is also a good item on the menu that taste absolutely fantastic. But this place is amazing, It may be crowded on Friday and Saturday depending on the hours but it’s worth the wait. Shoutout to the cook.”

“A+++ such a cutie local winegarden. The outdoor seating was really nice but it was too hot for us. Inside seating was nice as well. We had a private table, but majority of indoor seating is communal bench tables. The burgers & fries were really good. The cocktails we had (casa marg, lulus old fashioned, first bloom) were all super tasty as well. 100% will be back!”

“I went there for my friend’s birthday, and let me tell you, you've never seen an Ethiopian restaurant like this in DC. I had ordered their food through Uber Eats before and loved both the taste and presentation. You know what they say, “you eat with your eyes before you eat with your mouth.” Yesterday was my first time dining in, also, one of my friends had never tried Ethiopian food before, so I knew this place would be perfect for her first experience. She loved everything! the food, vibe, and customer service were amazing! They took great care of us and made sure everything was perfect. The prices are fair, and the cocktails are top-tier. You can even buy some of the paintings they have. It’s a 10/10 for me, and I’m definitely coming back. As an Ethiopian, I can confirm that DC now has the best Ethiopian cuisine I’ve ever had!”

“Some of the best, if not the best, pizza I've had in DC. It was ready in no time with a perfect, thick crust. We did three different veggie type pizzas and each one used fresh veggies. Despite the fresh veggies, the pizza didn't get soggy and stayed perfectly crisp. Highly recommend!”

“Since its inception I've enjoyed Indulj. This split-level jazz club plays host to live music every week in addition to comedy, poetry and open-mic nights. The drinks are great and the fusion soul food menu is always a treat. The space is abundant when compared to other U-Street haunts however it fills up quickly and is not a stranger to lines. Come with your flirty skirts and cute heels or nice jeans and fly boots. Fellas can enjoy the downstairs bar with with televisions every where while the upstairs has a great summer patio, cozy fire place, and lounge/DJ atmosphere. Also, it's located within a few steps of the Green Line Metro (U-Street stop).”
