“It's hard to find the words for The Green Door at H Mercantile. The decor is so attractive, the seating areas are very cozy, but the whole place is so spacious! My Iced Mocha Latte was amazing! I love that you can just walk through the new door/opening straight into H Mercantile to shop! I plan to bring my real estate clients here for meetings! I am also looking forward to bringing my family in for Gelato! This is a great new addition to Clinton!”

“This is a very different type of pizza in the best way! It’s so flavorful and fresh and the crust is to die for 😍 if you’re like me you can ask them to make it lighter than normal for less char, but to each their own! Definitely gonna be back to try more”

“Used to be my favorite. Don't use the restroom even to wash your hands. Even the hot food brought to buffet while we were there was stale or old tasting. 2 adults, lunchtime”

“The chicken nachos were excellent. My birria taco was good as well, but needs broth next time. They are open Monday through Sunday. I went on Sunday and they opened at 11AM.”

“It's such a sweet little family owned restaurant. Everyone was especially attentive and the food came out hot, fresh and delicious. I ordered the Shrimp Masaman curry and we had the Thai Dumplings and Fried Banana and Ice Cream. Highly recommend, can't wait to go back and try more dishes. We did have to wait some but it's only because of how busy they were! Have some patience when you go because the service and food are worth the wait. ☺️”

“As of today May 16th they are officially open! Ordered the bacon egg and cheese croissant. The croissant is nice and flaky and bacon taste like my granny cooked it. They are a little chaotic bc it’s their first day open so I’ll cut some slack. Added pics of inside and chalkboard menu on wall. The decor and floors they did look phenomenal imo. Cool little diner feel! Imo a dollar extra for cheese is high and especially when croissant is already on the higher end. All in all sweet lady’s working here. Edit: I came back for lunch to give them a shot on their burger, I wanted to love it…but, the burger has different bun options which is cool, again $1 extra for cheese. The burger has a really sweet taste like they put sugar in the recipe. It doesn’t come with any fries. The fries are extra. I got the swampy fries, they were loaded with roast beef and gravy, would’ve been better had the added cheese. All in all for the hamburger, fries, and a drink was $20 with tip. I didn’t really care for the sweet taste on the burger meat. Added pics of burger and swampy fries.”

“Brand new to Carencro and they are understandably and clearly working out some kinks. I had the red beans with turkey neck and sausage, 1 fried chicken wing, and 2 side. Food was really good. The did make a mistake on my order but rectified that quickly with no hassle. I will be trying them again.”

“This café is a gem! We had the shrimp on a bun, dressed, with the most unusual French fries I've ever seen. And the seafood balls appetizer was to die for. Yes, you'll need to drive a good ways to enjoy this place, but you'll be about as far south in Louisiana as one can go by car, where the mighty Mississippi River is not bound by levees.”

“After my experience with the restaurant at Venice Marina where I had gotten grilled shrimp and it was Honestly the worst thing I have ever put in my mouth, taste like iodine and was expensive, I was reluctant on whether I even wanted to try this place but I'm so glad we did. My husband got a Shrimp Po Boy and I got the hamburger steak and grilled vegetables. Those grilled vegetables were heavenly and my husband said his Shrimp Po Boy was amazing. 5 stars across the board and the prices were very reasonable”

“A cool spot in the world. Sit on the edge and watch the fish come in. Drink ice cold beer and order the crawtater! The snapper throat appetizer was good too. Beware of bones! Worth the risk.”

“09/14/2017 Its a small country truck stop with a huddle house. Not so bad just off the main interstate. Huddle House was as good as it gets. Didnt try the showers, but this has everything you need during your travels 01/15/2019 It has been awhile since we stopped in for an overnighter. Still plenty of parking, inside has a new restaurant... Krispy Krunchy Chicken, now i love me some fried chicken but this is the best that i have had in a long time. The folks here are awesome, very polite and fun to talk with. Always a good place to stop for a bite to eat, shower, use thw restroom and relax at the casino or tv lounge.”

“Recently, I went and had a ladies' night with some friends. Overall, we had a great time! It was fun throwing axes, and the young woman who helped us was awesome. She was doing double duty checking people in and bartending, but still managed to explain how everything worked and made sure that we had a great time. Our only complaints were that the menu was super limited, drinks were a little pricey (but...could be because of inflation 🤷♀️), and that at least two of the beers on tap were flat (Yuengling and Miller lite). We had a good time, but I'm not sure that we'll be back.”

“Went on a Friday morning for a burrito. $8 and quick service for an excellent meal, I got a chorizo burrito and it was pretty good size for the price. I'll ask for extra salsa next time it was a bit dry for me but still excellent.”

“I found this local gem right past the Hwy. 11 bridge, just past Charter. Their snowballs are soooo delicious!!!! They use the BEST buttery smooth ice, and they even have sugar free options!!! My kids and I had the strawberry, sour apple, and wedding cake flavors. We also ordered the best nachos we’ve EVER had from a snowball stand!!! Go check them out. I promise you won't be disappointed.”
