“Fantastic eclectic little bar. Tom is a classic! Tom's dog will sometimes roam around the bar and nudge you for a pat on the head. Just a cool place.”

“Entering the Black Friar feels like stepping on board a schooner ship. The crew hoists their colors proudly as they rightfully should, with an eclectic atmosphere and fresh local seafood that will have you staying longer than you thought you would. Fresh, local oysters are to not be missed at their daily happy hour, and the lobster Benedict was a perfect welcome to Maine. Take your cocktail from the bar to the quaint rooftop deck. Note that there is no elevator, so bags must be carried upstairs to rooms. Character (in the best sense) is not lacking here, in a true Maine fashion! Service was great and the food alone is worth a visit.”

“Cute restaurant with delicious food. Was so yummy we went back 2 days in a row. It’s cute and charming and opens at 6 am. We arrive at 6:10. The staff was perky and nice. The food was delicious. I know other reviews mentioned frozen food but the items we had were fresh made. The biscuits for biscuits and gravy were definitely hand made the way your grandma would make them. You could feel the love in every bite. The French toast was outstanding. The omelette had the perfect cheese to egg ratio and was delicious. The marble rye toast was also fantastic. We took a piece of blueberry coffee cake home with us. The meal was delicious. We wished we had a breakfast place near us that was this yummy. They do get busy so sometimes things get a bit slower BUT it was great food and great service.”

“Exceeded my expectations! Haddock burger w/ cheese was a big hot flaky piece of fish on a bun with tartar sauce. Philly cheesesteak was hot and cheesy w/lotsa meat, onions and peppers! Yum! Here's an updated menu w/prices as of June 2022”

“It was a busy Monday after lunch but our server, Kim, was just awesome! We were impressed with her service despite the busy afternoon. The food did take a while but it was understandable. The lobster roll was very generous from someone coming from the midwest. The short rib was phenomenal, very flavorful but the portion was smaller than anticipated. Our favorite part was the dessert. We definitely had to ask Kim since there were too many choices, she told us to try her personal fave Berry trifle and the popular open faced ice cream. She did not disappoint, they were all so good, especially the trifle, a must try for everyone!”

“Our Pepperoni Pizza with Banana peppers was delicious. Thin crust with good flavor. The brownie was even better. Fro Dough was a great option for dinner at camp without cooking. Very nice owners.”

“This place has all sorts of sodas, snacks, coffee, beer, and juice products! They have the cleanest gas station bathroom I've ever seen and it's full of cool clocks and art! This place is perfect for when all the businesses around town close and I still want something to drink at the end of the night.”

“Been rafting numerous times on different rivers with Three Rivers, along with kayaking and tubing. We've had an awesome guide every time; all very knowledgeable of the river, and great people to be around. I never doubt their skill navigating the river and we always feel comfortable knowing that they can handle an emergency if one were to arise. This was the first year we brought children (youngest one age 10), and the guides did a wonderful job with them - helping them out, comforting them about the rapids, and praising them for their hard work and bravery. Along with the guides, the staff is also very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the bunkhouses at the Kennebec location this year - they are clean, very spacious, and the mattresses were way more comfortable than I thought they would be! The shower/bath houses were also extremely clean and well taken care of. The store is awesome, has everything you need! And the restaurant/bar is great, too!”

“First time eating in the restaurant. Very friendly here and I love the food. Recommended stop if you're in the area.”

“Fantastic food in a fresh comfortable atmosphere. I've been here three times now and and working on eating my way through the menu. Their take on Maine food re-imagined is both whimsical and well executed taking dishes like "franks and beans" and giving it a huge step up with heirloom beans and home made sausage. The pizza is delightful as is the home made pasta and don't get me started on the smash burger. They make everything from scratch including all the sauces and there are so many good sauces! The drinks are on point and many of the mixers are also made in house. The staff is friendly and attentive. Great for a group or a date. I can't wait to go back for round four!”

“I brought my family of 6 to Blair Hill Inn to begin our 'taste of Maine' as I called it. From there we went to Bar Harbor, then Camden, then Portland. My wife and our 4 adult children kept saying they just wanted to go back to Blair Hill each day. The food was awesome, the staff was great, and my family wants to go back for another visit soon. I am very picky and can honestly say this was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. Thank you so much.”

“This is a Fantastic campground / cabin rental business. The owner is very friendly & helpful. This is an exceptional "get-away" for those that love the North Maine Woods. Very quiet, very nice where nature puts you asleep. We stayed 9 days and loved every minute. Pay no attention to the negative reviews, They may have needed a "city atmosphere". The residents up here are very hard working and very honest. I have lived in Maine my entire 62 years, and know this state very well. Plenty of stores in Dover-Foxcroft not far away, & many other towns & settlements in the area too. We explored the ATV trails, mountains, hiking trails, boating, fishing, a brewery,, and also relaxed listening to the loons & sounds of nature. You won't be disappointed looking for nature & relaxation here.”

“Our favourite pizzeria and our favourite Pats location. The special extra is that Lincoln Pats do not have an air fryer which means their juicy wings and other items like fries are oven-baked. Less fat, more taste. Friendly on top servers and staff, fast service, combined with Americana patriotic decor in a warm wooden dining room. 2 entrences /Parking in the front and back, clean restrooms, great food, good prices. A family run place for the families!”

“WOW... Now I know why this place is the talk of the town! Best Pizza in Lincoln by far! Sunday I order a light sauce half and half pizza. Order was made to perfection with generous toppings lots of yummy cheese, and not over cooked :) Thank you JJs for making my game day great !!!”

“Been there a couple times, I'm not a big seafood person, but the other food is pretty good. The place is small, so doesn't take many people to make it feel "crowded". Had some issues with one of the staff, so kind of stopped going there, but I learned that person is no longer there, so will returning soon.”

“The staff was really friendly and funny. The owner came over to us and made conversation while the waiter (not sure they are called that anymore) who was very funny and friendly took our order and recommended the specials of the morning. It was a clean, quiet, and relaxing environment. Food was delicious and cheap for today's standards. I would definitely go back and definitely recommend going there!!”
