“I was nervous about staying here after reading some of the older reviews. It seems to me that improvements are being made. Our site had fire ring, picnic table, and was dry. There was a Halloween costume contest for the kids and a spooky hayride, which they loved. The playground and jumping pillow were nice too. The skatepark needs some minor repairs. We went with several other families and all had a great time. The showers were clean. Our site was a little tricky to pull into. All hook-ups worked and the cell service was good. All in all a great, close-by campground to get away. Don't be afraid of the bad reviews. This is a decent campground.”

Upon entertaining this spacious out of doors restaurant you are surrounded by large windows, large cooking area, a giant menu on the wall and spirits all around. Come make your way through the hallway and then you are dining 🍽 in a open space with an amazing bar. The walls are lined with beer mugs 🍻 from everywhere and anywhere. This magical moment in time just keeps going. As you walk through the open dining area more doors open to this incredible outdoor like secret garden hideaway. The waitress was amazingly friendly and offered us a simple food & liquor menus. She came back and we ordered an appetizers and drinks.🍸 Did I mention she took a party of 5 complete dinner order verbally! PERFECT! Say hello to her if you stop in 👋 The drinks were delightful! The Spent Grain Pretzels were so warm and tasty 😋 and the melt in your mouth Wonton Fried Pickles exciting and blissful. Also as a meal the fish and chips were ordered with fries and a side of coleslaw. The presentation was perfect and flavor was memorable. 🐟 The Hat Burger was fetchin too. So delicious and flavorable and cooked to order PERFECT! 😋 I just love ❤️ all of the bar and table ware in this restaurant. OMG....we had an amazing time visiting this hidden restaurant. “So, you're eating in the zoo. Congratulations, you're a captive audience. Might as well eat here. Option 2 is Buddy's after all, and nobody needs that while hiking 3 miles in a zoo in the heat. Seating is clean. Food is made quickly. Staff is friendly. AC is welcome. The food is expensive obviously, but again. You just get to deal. Mac and cheese is pretty decent though pulled chicken pairs oddly. Buy the regular fries and skip the falafel. If it needs mayo to taste tolerable... do I need to clarify?”

“Today was the first day they were open. They were supposed to be open before Cinco de Mayo, but the state Held up approving their Liqueur license. I go out to the location in Troy for years now, but this location is closer to where I work and live. I drive past it every day. On my way to work this morning, I saw that the paper was off the windows, and people were inside cleaning and wiping down tables. I came here for lunch today, and I ended up getting the Speedy Gonzales. One Taco, One enchilada, and Beans. The food was delicious. The service was excellent, just like the other location. I didn’t get one for lunch, but one of my favorite things here is their Texas Margarita. While I was there, someone got one and told the waiter that it was delicious.”

The Southfield location I frequent more often and I've only had one issue and the staff fixed it right away. I really appreciated that. My smoothies have been perfect! “What a beautiful place! Next to Tallulah, this is my new favorite spot in Birmingham! It’s a gorgeous restaurant. Went to try it a few times already and had an amazing experience each time. At this point, I have tried everything on the menu and I loved everything so far, especially the Beef Tartare, Filet, Fish and Lamb chops! The drinks all had fresh garnishes and tasted as great as they looked. The staff is very friendly and they made us all feel so welcomed and like family. Donika was an amazing server and provided us with the best experience! It turned into a completely different vibe on the weekend with a DJ, and it was a great time, definitely the new place to be and new favorite spot in Birmingham!”
